HelloProblems online with gears down in 737-800/900 after 2 hours of flight.

I, like many, have had the problem where my landing lights don't work, and my radios have ceased to function. In the service bulletin it suggests turning the realism factor to anything except 100%. But - there are 4 or 5 different factors to choose from - generaltorque gyro driftetc.Which is the one or ones that I have to change - all of them, one of them, etc? Also, how much do I have to alter them by to make the problem go away. I tried lowering all of the sliders a bit last night & still had the same problem with the landing lights. I tried hitting control A, but nothing happened. Finally, what does Control A do? Is it short for a specific command in the men…

I competed a four-hour flight on VATSIM last night using the TCAS on the 800, and it worked perfectly, accurately displaying the path and altitude of other traffic online traffic.Per the tutorial, I'm using it with the "FS2004 Internal" option for importing the other traffic via multiplayer. The tutorial states that if one wishes to use the FSUIPC interface, it requires the installation of AIBridge. Is there any particular advantage to doing it one way or the other, in terms of impact on system overhead and/or frame rates? I do run Squawkbox, SBRelay, AS2004 and AVC on a second computer over WideFS, to free up as many resources as possible on the main FS2004 machine.Jim B…

Do you have all you SIDs/STARs?...I was flying from KDET(Detroit) to KMCO(Orlando)...well when I was loading the FMC....I went to pick a departuring SID and when I did I notice that their was 3 SIDs and when I went to set up my arrival...when I went to pick the STAR I didn't appear to have any...and I think this runway is over the minumum length for which they made the SID/STAR...can someone help..I am using the latest AIRAC files....do I have to do something else like download another part or is this how everyones is...Thank you

OK, I got extremely bored fly CAT III autolands. I know how to fly non-precision approachs, but between the PMDG planes, and FS9, I'm a little lost.Here's what I did-I created a flight plan to Hays Regional in Minnesota or somewhere. When ATC cleared me for an ILS approach to 34, I instead selected the VOR DME with the HYS transition. A VOR 34 transition was listed in the approaches on the FMC, so I selected it, and got a discontinuity. Firstly, If my route ends some fifty miles before that, and then I select the approach, what would be the logical way to connect the two? There is no airway going through that intersection/VOR. How do I set the DH in the FMC in the 737ng-600/700/800/900??Staale MoumNorway

I know there's been lots of discussion about this, but can I have a simple yes or no please. In VNAV descent should the aircraft decelerate according to the speed settings on the LEGS page? If I set a constraint of say 200/3000 should I expect this speed to happen automatically.John

Hi,I would like to know if it was possible to install the FDSFXPNL Gauge in the new 737-800 NG panel like Timothy Metzinger did with the 737-700 panel in his NG's Tutorial V2. I followed the readme step by step but it doesn't work. Is there a limitation in the number of windows parts in panel.cfg for the new panel ?Thanks for your helpStephane

Hi everybody. I am one more very happy user of the excellent PMDG 737, and the new 800/900 is certainly one step ahead. But I have one question. Why can't we use the 600/700 panel if we wish so??? I know for sure that there are a lot more fellow pilots out there that wish, even if the new panel looks great too, to have the option at least to switch panels. I also know for sure that the PMDG guys CAN give us that option!!! I would like to encourage everybody to post a reply to this message, so that PMDG will know that there are many of us who WISH FOR THE OLD PANEL MODE!!! Hope that this wish will come true...:-)

Hi,Read something on page 5-13 in PMDG's AOM that got me confused. It says:"When on localizer intercept heading, verify ILS tuned and identified, LOC and G/S pointer displayed, arm APP mode and engage second autopilot."Does that mean I should engage APP and the second autopilot (CMD :( prior to localizer 'alive'? I thought you should press the 'APP' button when localizer comes alive and then engage autopilot B when G/S is captured?Could someone please explain the correct procedure to me?TIA,

I just love the latest 737s thanks a bunch PMDG. Reading in the forum I see posters raving about how good the TCAS is on the new 737s. So far Ive not found out how to turn this feature on, all I get is a message on the nav display "TCAS Off" . Can anyone enlighten me how to get it working.Many ThanksFred

Hi all I am seeing very high N1 fan speeds when on approach with flaps 30 at around 80-82% N1. I cannot believe that this is how the real bird operates and would like someone to shed soem light on why this might be happening. I have not altered the airfile or aircaft.cfg file in any way so I am peplexed as to why I am seeing such high N1 speds. my weight on landing was 112,000 lbs for my last flight . regards, J Stevens CYOWP.S. Hello and much thanks for the 737NG. I did not think my simming hobby would get to jets but I am loving it.I understand the development team will have their hands full of projects at present and we are all looking forward to the 747-400 and the challenges it will bring to our flying. If and when they start casting around for a new aircraft to build I would like to reccommend two I would love to see.The first is the Dash-8, already mentioned here as a request for the Q100 version (but please also make the Q200 hot and high).I was also thinking that a Bombardier CRJ-200 would make a great addition to the fleet (even the whole series ;)).respectfully, Nick

Having recently purchased the 737/800/900 i have observed the following1.I Cannot get anything to display in the lower E.I.C.A.S ie, controll surface synoptics what have i not done correcty as ive tried the PMDG drop down menue? 2. At present it seems that it is not possible to fly a SID as well as haveing standard fs2004 atc cover because there is no way of exporting a flight plan from the FMC back to the fs flight planner once the sid has been added from the airac data base so it can be filed as a new flight plan with atc. If you want to fly IFR with a SID and ATC they will not recognise the sid as part of the flight plan obviously and terminate the flight plandue to de…
