Hi all, I have just ordered radar contact ver 3.1. Up until now I have been letting the fmc control most of the flight, so I was just wondering how you fly with 2 sets of instructions. I assume ATC commands take priority, so is it a case of re-programming the fmc everytime ATC intervenes?Keith Sandford

I just started flying the 737NG and I'm currently flying the excellent tutorials by Tim Metzinger (thanks Tim!).I've just done the missed approach on KMCO, and entered left the holding pattern to the north. I decided to do thinghs it bit differently... ;) and I selected the BITHO07 STAR in the FMC. (I'm using the updated KMCO file from navdata which fixes the rwy 35 error).I set the HDG to 360 and I enabled LNAV. As the subject says, I also tried to enable VNAV but it gives the error message: check mcp altitude. Although I'm still a beginner, I know that I should use the MCP ALT setting to clear the plane to the altitude on the next leg. I was flying at 2200 and I checked…

Dear All,Sorry if I am a little dim here. Just started using RC3.1 with UT2004. I am trying to use both and I need to be able to select fsatc on Comm2. Does anyone know how I do this. I have the updated 800/900 version. I cant seem to find anything in the manual.ThanksAndrew

with the pmdg 737....the purple line is not accurate...the only way for me to stay on it ...IS TO FLY SIDEWAYS!....this is only when i run it in fs2002....when i run it in fs2004...the line is true and there is no problem....how can i get it to work in fs2002 like it does in fs2004?

i was trying to load a flight into the fmc and i got a message saying KCMH not in database... for that matter no airport ICOA is in the data base. i have your 737-600/700/800/900 and none of them have a database for the airports. any ideas on whats wrong?thanksmark johnson

I seem to be getting a conflict when I start to use my FMC in any of the PMDG aircraft, (I have both versions of the PMDG installed) this has started to happen since I reinstalled the aircraft. When I start to use the FMC you get a situation as though somebody is turning the lights on and off, when you change to any other aircraft it stops happening, I hope that gives you a clear picture of what is happening.Any help would be much appreciatedMarshall Priceman

Hello crewmembers!Sometimes, i have the following problem with the FMC during cruise:It cannot make up her mind about where the T/D point is going to be. It changes back and fwd every second. Hi all, I have a problem whereby if I start my 737ng 600 from a cold and dark cockpit the A/T will not engage. I wait until both engines have stabilised at approx 22% N1, idle, but A/T will not engage. If I start fs normally with engines started then A/T engages OK.Thanks for any help.Keith Sandford

When I gona circle in the Holding point en descending in VNAV Path mode and enter the hold it gives me a warning and it says: RESET or CHECK(Dont know wich one the correct one is) MCP ALT.But wat if I want to stay at my current altitude when leaving the hold?And why does the VNAV not decalerate in relation with the Flaps that I set? I mean with this, If there is totaly no alt or spd restriction and I can descent straigt ahead inside the FAF, normaly the FMC have to reduce speed to the "flap extention or flap selection speed or wathever you want to call it....does it???Thanks,

I do have one little question that even isn't a problem for me.About the range rings, I know that if you select in the styles menu range rings on that they are show up on the ND but you can't turn them of again or have to select them of in the styles menu.Is this real behavior or is there a way to turn them of and on without going to the styles menu???? In the prev. NG version you could push on the WX button at the EFIS panel and then they show up or go of...thanks,

Hi all I just want to clarify that with the A/P off when I manually fly the aircraft on take off is the flight director not supposed to follow the course as per the ND/FMC. I like to manually fly the aircaft up to 10000 ft and then click the A/P on but right now I can't follow the course as the F/D bars simply stay centred and only give vertical guidance. is there anything i am not doing that i should be doing to enable the F/D bars to follow the course as per the FMC/ND??

when you program the FMC on the legs page, do you also have to enter the altitude at each fix or waypoint?if yes, what happens if you don't have that information?do you just leave it blank?

Quick question,If the FMC calculates V2 at 148 do I put this speed in theIAS/MACH window, or do I add the +20 (168) myself.Also when my initial climb is at 168 knots it seems my nose is ataround 20 deg to maintain that initial speed until I bump it up to around 220 where I start my flap retraction, not sure if this is thecorrect procedure.ThanksPaul Cartier

Hi I.am flying the PMDG 737 NG on FS2004 for several weeks now but I notice there is system fault on the blue "RAM DOOR FULL OPEN" light,s on the FWD overhead panel, when I switch on the a "PACK" switch to AUTO or HIGH the blue light is working correctly on ground as is air with flaps not up, but when I switch the PACK switch(s) to "OFF" the blue "RAM DOOR FULL OPEN" light(s) also goes off and that's not correct. I now this because I work as B737 PG & NG airplane mechanic.I can tell you that this light only illuminate's when the airplane is on the ground & when the airplane is in the air with flaps not up. You can never switch off this light with the "PACK" switch…

Hi,I'm using a 9800 pro, Win XP Pro (SP1 updated), a 15" LCD screen (so I run at 1024*768 all the time), a 2400+ on a K7S5A with 512Mb of RAM, and I have a problem with the new omega drivers (2.5.36b) : when I activate anti aliasing, the 2D panels (M, Z, A or L views) become "1 pixel thinner" than the outside view window. I don't know if I can explain it right, but there are 1 pixel-wide lines at the top, the bottom, the left and the right of the panel where I can see the scenery (or the sky) through. It's as if I reduced the panel size by 1 pixel in height and length. I tried to strech it manually but it didn't work. The only thing I can do is reduce a little the outside…

Hey PMDGBought your 737 package and love it to bits.Having a little trouble though.1. While using the 737-800 taxiing to parking, one of the AI traffic crashed into my plane causing the program to recognise this as a aircraft collision. I don't think FS2004 recognised the 737-800 as being there, might be a prob from my end I dont know,2. When I change views, when the engines are running, sometimes I get this horrible distorted sound, kinda like TV static, playing through the speakers. Is there a way to get the load manager to effect the way that the 737 actially handles in the air. How can I get my settings that I use to be transferred onto the the plane for flying. Now, I can only use it for simlated planning purposes - but whether I have an empty plane with no cargo or passengers or if I simulate a plane that is full with passengers & cargo, the plane seems to handle no differently. Is there a way to make the settings I calculate in the load manager effect the aircraft performance?Also, is there a tutorial on the load manager?Finally, is there a way to load passengers in random seats, & not just have them load uniformly from front to back?…
