    Just wondering whether anyone has struck this problem with the 737-800.It's never happened to me before and I'm wondering what the cause is.When climbing through about 7000ft vnav suddenly disengages and speed comes up on the mcp.At the same time a cws p sign appears in the efis, sometimes followed by cws r.The aircraft then climbs for a while before descending rapidly.After I re-engage v nav the aircraft will recommence climbing in this mode for a few minutes before once again disengaging, reverting to speed and descending.Does anyone know just what's going on?Until now v nav has worked perfectly for me and I can't understand why this problem has just appeared out of lef…

    I have skimmed through other reports relating to the above topic but can find nothing similar so I thought I should report it here.In a flight (still ongoing) from VRMM (Male) to OMDB (Dubai) I had reached cruise altitude in the -800 when suddenly a message flashed on the FMC scratchpad to the effect that I had insufficient fuel. There had been no indication at all this may be the case and in fact I had boarded fuel using the excellent fuel planner (my thanks to the author).I pulled up the FMC and checked the estimated fuel at OMDB and found it to be 1.4.     I'm using the CH Pro Pedals with the 1900D. Problem is that I get a continuous message in red at the bottom left indicating "differential brakes" and when I apply rudder and increase throttle to taxi the plane barely moves even if I apply full throttle. I just bought the CH products and in fact I always get this message at the bottom but this time the plane doesn't even move compared to other planes. I've calibrated the pedals and set them on the assignment menu. I've also unchecked and checked the auto rudder on the realism settings but no difference.     Installed the 800/900, and did a few flights and noticed something about VNAV approaches. On the 600/700 the aircraft would follow the flap/speed restrictions on the descent page at LSK4(SPD REST.)the 800/900 doesn't seem to do this. When I stay in VNAV I see no XXX/FLAPS restrictions as I deploy the flaps.It should do this:-destination airport speed limit -10-Waypoint speed restriction if greater than flaps up manuevering speed-min flaps up manuevering speed.-selected VREF+wind corr for landing flaps.-whenever flaps are deployed the the appropriate XXX/flaps. Should this be the minimum flap manuevering speed? Such as VREF40+10 for flaps 25 and 30 for instance.It seems li…

    Hi,first of all, the NG is the greatest addon i've ever purchased, but a thew things kinda confuse me.There are two knobs above the ND, that are obviously used to change PFD and ND style (which is implemented ) but the knobs cant be clicked.Second : The lower ECAM (its called ECAM in an Airbus ,dont know what thay call it in a Boeing, i mean the display unit above the radios) can be maximized but has no functionality?!.Third : Will the second Takeoff reference page on the FMC see some more functions in the future? The 767PIC for example allowed to enter slope ,offset and runway conditions.ok enough. Nonetheless great work guys,best i've ever had.!

    Hello all,I have a problem, perhaps someone can help - because I have seen this work for my friend - but he wouldn't know how to help me.I'm not able to save flights with the PMDG's engines off.I even tried loading the Cold and Dark flight from them menu, Place it where I like it, and save the flight.Next time I load FS, the plane is in the right place, the avionics are of because no electricity is coming from the generators, APU is off, fuel pumps are off - in short - the plane is in the same configuration as it was on the cold and dark scenario.     I've purchased recently the 737 800/900 and the B 1900 D express. Everything went fine, got the email with the password and the download link. Whenever I download the required files I get a small ZIP file which I can't open. PMDG was so kind to resend the link but I get the same error message.I do use Netscape and DAP ( Download Accelerator Plus as download manager). Funnily enough when I bought the 737 NG, no problems occured.As I like the PMDG products very much (and I've paid afterall) I would like to use them.Any ideas what I did wrong?Your kind help is very much appreciated.Regards, Juergen

    I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this phenomenon, but I find my airplane (737NG-900) is always running short of AvGas! I'm forced to continually feed more juice into the tanks, and I'm getting pretty consisent "insufficient fuel" warnings on the FMS. I left CYEG for CYYJ - about 500nm, and I had double what was required in the tanks and still ran out slow and low on final. ;-)Anybody got any ideas?Ron McLeod CYEG

    Hi, I was just wondering if you can give us an update on the issues you have recognized as bugs and are trying to resolve. Can you put a post at the top of the forum for all to read but can not reply to (locked) as not to clutter everything for the known bugs. I am waiting for the Loc Back CRS issue to be fixed. Is this recognized as a bug, who knows, do I ask again to make sure it might be included in a next available patch, I guess so. Can you please give us an update so we are out of the dark.     I saw a promotional TV commercial for the Boeing 7E7 the other day. Went to the Boeing website and noticed they have general info on the 7E7 published. It's size, weight, and range will be similar to the 767. But it will burn 20% less fuel.     Hi All,Is everyone else experiencing this? (see pics and the fps).I know my videocard should be the culprit, but until I get the new RADEON X800 XT :+ is there anything I can do about it?I'm using the -800 winglet 2D only Varig Livery, and without LL(landing lights) I run pretty steady at 24-30FPS.     I hate to ask a dumb question but how do you interface with FSUIPC. i.e. Key Mapping. Peter Dowsons website is not very helpful. Is it necessary to have a registered version? I am still trying to get my GF-MCP working with PMDG. Very frustrating. Thanks for any help.-Lane

    Hi All,Since installing the 800/900 update I have been unable to get the autopilot to stay connected for more that 1 to 5 seconds. the time it stays connected varies. It makes no difference if the FMC is programmed or not, I can't even get it to maintain heading and alt let alone LNAV and VNAV. Autothrottle is working ok. I am not doing anything differently to what I always did with the 600/700. I have followed the normal proceedures manual. The PMDG B1900D's autopilot works fine as does the default FS2004 aircraft(hadn't touched those in a looong time!)I have reset my registered FSUIPC to normal defaults and got FS to create a clean FS config.   21. Well, I programmed a flight out of KSEA in the 700 and ended up with complete engine failure at V1. I never got to touch the yoke. Nothing different than usual as far as setup is concerned.Loaded 700 with EFIS style panel.     Every time I try to run Fl Sim with A heavy add-on like PMDG737/6/7/8/9 or PSSAxxx, my system crashes after a few minutes. The displayed blue screen message usually points to the graphics driver and or hardware. I also keep getting the microsoft error report crash.I have done a clean boot install of the latest driver, which was downloaded clean without a download accellerator and deleted the fs9 cfg file.     I bought and downloaded PMDG 737 Next Generation 600/700.After installing the aircraft without any problems, I started FS 9 and selected the PMDG aircraft and hit Fly now.Then FS9 Locksup.I have been reading the FAQ on the PMDG support site and I tryd everything as described in Section F (FS9 Lockup/ Crash problems) but could not get the AC running in FS9.I installed the aircraft in FS 2002 as well (same PC) and here I find no problems.Iam running FS9 under Windows XP Pro, and use FSNAV, active Sky and some scenery addons.I send an Email to PMDG support 2 days ago, but I did not get any response Yet! Any idea how to solve the problem?
