Hi all,Does anyone use, or is anyone aware of any problems with, the Reality XP WX500 weather radar with the PMDG 737? It seems to me that this might be a good add-on to have, but wanted to see what the thoughts of you guys on here is.Many thanks,Paul Mallows

I've just bought the 1900D package and made a couple of modifications to the panel, the first is changing the horrible default EADI with a much better freeware gauge available in AVSIM, it is much smoother than the default one, besides being more functional. Also changed the default clock with a much more functional Davtron. If PMDG has no problems with it I'd really like to upload the new panel.cfg, here are a couple of shots:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/79350.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/79351.jpg

I've noticed a small problem that I don't think I have seen reported before on this group - though I may have missed it...I use the NG as my default start-up situation in FS2004. I always shut down all systems at the conclusion of a flight, taking the cockpit back to a "cold & dark" scenario before saving. For some reason, when I load the saved flight, I always find the engine fuel control levers on the throttle quadrant on the "on" position. I have double checked that they are "off" before saving. This problem only began when I added the 800/900 to my existing 600/700 NG installation.I do realize that there are some switches and controls which always default to a parti…

What is the term "circling" refered to on a chart?Could someone please enlighten me on this subject?I noticed it comes with a MDA but I don't think it has anything to do with flying a traffic circuit. Thanks in advance,David

I have the PMDG 737-600 700 800 and 900. However I notice that on the EICAS of the 600 and 700 and maybe the 800 and 900 that the vibrations readings never go past 0.5.Is there a fix to this because i know that those readings should be at about 2 during normal flight.

Good morning everyoneSince I installed the last sids and stars they will not show up in the FMC (arr & dep.) as usual I installed the group in PMDG sid and star and had no problems, the navdata is OK. If some body had an ideas please let me know! Thanks Andre:-(

Hello PMDG,Thanks for this awesome piece of work. I'm Soooo Happy with the NGs.Sorry, if this has been asked before now.My question: Is there a plan to add wingtip vortices/condensation effects in the engine when landing or taking off in humid conditions?I don't know if this would be feasible feature at this time, but it would just add to this wonderful product.Anyway, thanks and continued success....Already on "cloud 737":-) with the planes.Ryan Beard,KJAN,SBGL,SBRJ

This may be helpful to those that have not come across this type of "pilot error" before. Maybe it's already been covered in this forum. Anyway, I am currently flying from KSEA to PANC for UVA (United Virtual Airlines) in the 737-900 and when I setup the FMC I chose FL320 (which was wrong to start, s/b FL310/350/390 etc). Now, during flight my "MCP VNAV" light goes off and I keep getting a message "CHK MCP ALT". I'm scratching my head, "What's going on here?"... I set the correct MCP ALT (FL320). But, "hold on there cowboy, remember you revised your MCP altitude about 100nm back, to FL350?"..."Oh ya, doh, I have to go to the FMC "CRZ" page and change my "CRZ ALT" to FL…

Hi PMDG team, how about making a "full screen" option for the FMC, and makeing all FMC buttons (also A-Z and so on) available for designating keyboard commands to in the PMDG Menu (much like the Project Magenta FMC). Since the FMC is there anyway, I guess this should not be too complicated. This would give all of the "semi-hardcore" homecockpit builders (like me,;-)) the opportunity to run your FMC on an extra screen integrated into hardware FMC (like the one from FlightDeck Solutions, for example). That would be a big step towards realism, and would give us a solution for using your excellent plane in a homecockpit environment.I think this could be interesting for many user…

Hi, I have a logitech joystick which unfortunately goes into sleep mode after 2minutes of no use. The problem I have is that when I activate it out of sleep mode it always puts the autopilot into cwsp mode and down she goes. Any ideas would be greatly appreciatedregards Rob

Hi everyoneI'm now flying the PMDG 737 series for a while. Before, I often used the good old PIC767 and DF737. I count myself to the small core of users who like this kind of "total realism" which can be found in all of the planes mentioned above. Now I'm going to ask PMDG (and the rest of the 737NG pilots as well of course) about some ideas. I realised that your 737 is getting closer and closer to the level of realism that was once achieved by the PIC767 (in some cases you have already achieved a higher level anyway :)).I just have the impression that you are about to set a new milestone in realism and I want to help a little bit:1.) Even though the planes systems are alm…

Dear All,I use FSNav for my flight planning and import this into the FMC. I am aware that it is not always advisable to put all of the route (star) into the FMC due to weather changes/runway changes at destination. However, the STARS in FSNAV do not seem to be the same as those in the FMC. Secondly how easy is it to see the route when nearing the airport on the display. I seem to be getting in a real mess anf flying another 40miles back from the airport to rejoin a new STAR.Should my last waypoint be 40 miles from the arrival airport? Should I then select the airport and relevant STAR? How do I know that this is the correct STAR for that route. Err I dont have any charts …

For some reason my panel with the NG likes to flicker every few seconds. It's very annoying, and gets me disoriented in IMC. Anyone know of a fix? I'm using the Cat 4.5s.

Hello all,Here's a procedure that I've been using. I do not arm the auto brake before touchdown. Then, after the reversers have slowed me to 80 kts or so I select autobrake 1/2/3 to activate the brakes. This works good, considering I do not have any analog pedal brakes, and it appears that the brake key is the equivalent of slamming on the brakes. Is this how it's suppose to work? Does the real 737 do this? Would this be a bad idea in the real world?Tim Dobrowolsky

Hi..This is my first post here to the PMDG forum but I read it on a daily basis because of the love I have for this airplane. I know the engine troubles with the PMDG have been talked and talked and even talked about again. I need to just bring this one little thing up.I have been flying this plane with no problems what so ever and the ironic part of it is it's hard to learn but when your done learning it flying is even easier then when you started. Almost to easy! :^)Sunday morning I did a flight that was about 2 hours no problems. Well I needed to post some pictures of the inside of my CPU for a buddie of mine that had a question. So to do this I had to unplug eve…

PMDG,Are some of the gauges textured for your 737NG? Is there anyway to edit these easily for personal use? I'm especially looking at the red boxed instrument shown below as I'm just playing around with a photorealistic look and this does not show up in FS.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/79336.jpgI've made the panel lighter and started to edit bits. Any info would be great. I don't plan on releasing this as its way of being finished and all the textures belong to PMDG.Cheers,Alex

Future Airline Pilot Can someone give me a rough estimate of when the PMDG 747-400 is going to come out. Just a rough one. Cause i am very anxious to have it come out because that is one of my favorite airplanes. Thanks. Scott

I am not sure if the procedures I did were right or wrong but I got into the cabin anyway. First, download the 737-700NG.acv file from Active Camera web site and place it in the FS9 main folder. Then start the FS9 and select PMDG with virtual cockpit & Cabin aircraftand check the Internal pilot view on the Active Camera 2004 in the Option. Then go to the virtual cockpit, but you cannot go directly through the pilot door, the door does not open, so using num keys like 4 or 6, go outside once, then proceed to the passenger's cabin using num 8 key. That's all. On the Japanese BBS site of PMDG there are many people who are curious to know how to enter the cabin.

I have only one simple question. I want to know which sound files (I want to know their exact names) does PMDG 737-700 use in FS2002 for touchdown and for rolling on the runway. I've found some good one's and I want to replace them..... thank you for your help.Martin Olsovsky
