I asked this once before, I think, but could not find it! In the Beech 1900 Paintkit, what are the Full fusalage sides textures used for? They are not in the main texture folder with the Aircraft, so what is the specific purpose? Best, Glennhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/78494.jpg

Hi,Have been flying the 738 for quite a while now. I did however notice that the aircraft is very hard to slow down with a proper descend rate, meaning the use of speedbrakes is practically always a must here, certainly when flying on VATSIM. As many of you know, you can plan your flight in advance, but once onto the descend, changes in altitude and direction are constantly given by ATC.So far, so good, i have no problem with it, that is what they are build for. My question is if there are limits on the use of those speedbrakes.Personally I use them from IAS lower than 290 knots and when needed, down to 220 knots (not continuously of course) with flaps 2 if required. I wo…

I noticed that in case of heavy sidewind, the PMDG although following correctly the plan with no lateral deviation, maintains a heading in favor of the wind.I mean that if you're flying 270, with 360/50 wind, the pmdg will not maintain a heading higher of 270 (say 278) but lower instead (so something like 262).That's against physics laws :DAlso i just noticed (while taxiing at small airports like LOWI... :D)that, even if i have the correct assignements for the differential brakes (F11 and F12) only left seems to work, right have no effect.Anyone can confirm this?BRClaudio

Hi, I have some questions about the bleed air system.I did the Boeing 737 CBT and played around with the switches of the bleed air system. I was surprised that the pressure in de system in the pmdg737 is different from what I saw in the CBT.http://home.planet.nl/~harto740/bleed1.jpgIn the first picture you see the APU bleed on, right pack off, and isolation valve auto. Pressure is 15In the second picture you see the same config in the Boeing CBT. The pressure is now almost 40 psihttp://home.planet.nl/~harto740/bleed1a.jpgWhat do we do next. We open the right pack, the right pack uses bleed air so the pressure should (??) decrease. But is does not. We have still a pressure…

  5. Hi I have a 4-computer network for PC-flying using the programm "WideView" on a server with 4 monitors for the instruments (two for the mainpanel, one for overhead and one for the FMC/pedestal/radio panel), and 3 computers for the outside-view (front-left / front / front-right). This worked very good for the PIC767 and FS2002.Now I changed to FS2004 and 737NG with a small problem:I have to stetch the mainpanel over 2x18-inch monitors. Unfortunatly 737NG has the "whiskey"-compass and a post on the same bitmap as the mainpanel (and I do not use this compass on my stretched panel). So I cut the post and compass away with a graphic program and reallocated the instruments. So …

Thank you PMDG for giving us a almost perfect 737NG!I said almost because I'm having little problems with it:1: SID/STARS that just won't show up in the FMC (LFPG; LSGG; LPPT; etc), even with AIRAC 0405 and the latest package of SID/STAR installed;2: After saving a flight while flying, the instruments just show the standard values (ALT; HDG; SPD...), when restarting that flight and the FMC has no data either;3: Can't find a way to make TCAS workI'm using the 737-600/700 with FS2k2, and I must say I'm getting a little dissapointed with the package...

I've just purchased, installed and I am using the 737NG 600/700 add-on and am learning to use it, what a great A/C. I have questions I hope someone can help me with.1.) Can the 737NG FMC & the Flight Planner work together?2.) When using the 737NG FMC for a flight can you get FS9 ATC to do more than just flight following.3.) When you get to your destination airport when using the 737NG FMC who clears you to land? What about the A1 traffic. 4.) I could be wrong, however, when I flew the

Hello,I have always been flying, using the default FS9 aircrafts, with Radar Contact and it was very handsome to be able to save flights and then to reload them with the flightplan still operational on the (fysical) point I saved the flight.I tried to do the same with the PMDG 737NG, but after loading a saved flight, the flightplan was not available anymore in the FMC.I use FSBuild to develop my flightplans. Is there a way to save and reload a flight (with Radar Contact) and then just continue flying the plan?I put the same question in the Radar Contact forum. Thanks on beforehand for the reactions,Juul Tango,Hasselt (Belgium)

As close to perfection as I have been able to find so far and best of all .... it's not an Airbus. Long live Boeing! Thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks ..........Andrew"If it can go wrong it probably will. If it doesn't then turn it off"

The operations of VOZ Virtual have advanced very positively since opening its doors to the Australian and New Zealand flightsim community some four weeks ago. In this time our first intake of 15 pilots combined with the existing team have flown 156 flights totaling 301.4 hours. The dynamic and exciting nature of our operation combined with high levels of professionalism and realistic systems support means we are continuously looking to introduce new concepts to the flightsim community and more importantly to share VOZ Virtual with pilots who feel they can add value to our team. The recruitment intake for June 2004 is now open and VOZ Virtual is inviting pilots experienced w…

The other day I had to reinstall FS2002 because the scenery.cfg file became unusable. After completing the reinstall,I started up the 737-700 and entered a previously stored flight plan. The waypoints all came up on the HSI, however the initial route page was blank for the departure and arrival airports. When I attempted to enter them I received the message Not In Database and therefore could not activate and execute the flightplan. The initial reference page showed that ARAC 405 was current and the SID/STAR folder shows the text for the two airports in question (KBUR and KCLT) is present. I even tried to re-download the SID/STAR database from the PMDG downloads secti…

Hi Guys!I tried following, very short flight. It is "triangle".LKPR RWY24, NER, ETATU, LKPR RX24 (12.0 NM extension), LKPR RWY24 at 4000ft.There seems to be no problem for FMC to accept this path, everything goes fine and I finsh FMC setup process, so that there is PRE-FLT-COMPLETE message displayed on TAKE OFF page. Then I enter LEGS page and put following speed restrictionsNER 230/4000ETATU 180/4000RX24 180/4000Then I push EXEC to make these changes ACTIVE.Ok.I taxi to runway, take-off and select LNAV and VNAV.Both vertical and lateral navigation are completely under FMC control, but speed is 250KT at every waypoint. Hi PMDG I have question about the navigation database date on the FMC ident page! in real life there are two navdata base date's on the ident page, on the PMDG 737 NG there is only one date vissible. In real life you can change the date's & when you do this you can clear all inputs in the FMC.Now come's the question, is it possible to implant this function inside the PMDG 737 NG FMC to better clear your inputs of the FMC.Greeting Mark.

my understanding is that the CI should be able to adjust parameters in climb, cruise and descent modes (N1?) as applicable. In the PMDG product I seem to be unable to see changes in any of those modes.I have adjusted the setting from 250 to 450 during cruise and did not see a revised (mod) cruise speed. Is this correct? If so, what parameters does the CI in this product adjust?

HiI am using the take off performance charts that came with the PMDG737, unfortunately all the data is in lbs and feet. As I fly with kilograms and calculating the runway length in meters I would prefer to have this charts also in kgs en meters. PMDG, will you publish this charts in the future or does somebody know where I can find the tables in kgs/meters?ThanksRegards,

Now that the -800/900 has been released there is the distinct possibility that the PMDG 737 users may be divided into 2 separate camps...the FS2002 folks and the FS9 group. Therefore, it would be helpful if postings indicated for which aircraft they refer, or even for the support forum to be split into 2...one devoted to each model. There are many postings pertaining to the -800/900 which are not germaine to the -600/700 community.Roger Curtiss

Hi,While flying the 737-800 from Ibiza to East Midlands this morning,at flight level 350,all of a sudden the LNav and VNav were disengaged and on the PFD were the letters CWS A and CWS B in yellow, the aircraft promptly went into a steep dive and banked severly!!This happened on sevral occasions during the flight,to rescue the situation I had to manually control the aircraft back on course and then managed to re- engage the LNav and VNav buttons.Needless to say the passengers were not happy!Any thoughts on why this is happening?I was using real world weather if that has anything to do with it.Thanks,Regards,Martin.
