PMDG General Forum

In the real thing, every FD switch has a "MA" indicator above it.I've seen pics in which it's the leftside one lighted up, and other pics in which it's the rightside one...Can anyone tell me what this indicator means, and where is the control for it?Not in the PMDG, but in the real thing (as in the PMDG we do not have separate PIC and FO instrumentation.

Hey,Ive hade PMDG 737/6/7/8/9 for a time now...and Im running a pretty fast machine...When i fly normally in the 2D cockpit view my frame rates arent a question..there outstanding in FS 2004....But as soon as I load up the VC style plane then frame rates start buggin out...not real slow I mean they like skip from 77fps to like 33fps to 13fps all in a seconds time...its not like the plane lags or my cpu slows down...it looks like its running smooth but when you look down at the ground or the water you can see it skip...its really annoying and i was just wondering if maybe i had my PMDG settings messed up...So i was just wondering if anyone could help me fix this...if there…

I have been experiencing with a second monitor lately and basically I want my overhead panel on it. I can drag the overhead panel to it, but then the view on my main monitor gets cut in half! I can resize the view to normal, but the viewpoint from the main panel is just too high this way. Anyone did this with succes? How can this be done?Thanks,Arthur Deelen.

Hello,I have been studying the 737-800 again from real manuals today and in normal procedures they say that whenever there are lots of precipitations, you should turn the engine start switches to FLT. But when I try to do it with PMDG, it just makes KNOCK and it returnes back to OFF. Any ideas why?Also, when selecting Wing Antiice off with PMDG plane, the lights go out immidiately. In real, they should go fully bright and then extinguish when valves are closed like the eng aice does...The manual also says that when you are taking off and passing 80 knots, the FMA mode should go automatically to THR HOLD when A/T is engaged, never seen with PMDG yet. ;)Thanks for help!

I want try to unistall from fs2004 the 737ng series to try to fix the problem of fs returning to desktop after a while, the utility in the pmdg web page is for the 600and 700 series,......how can I do it unistalling everything regarding PMDG products?........Andy

Hi,I guess there will be no 737 BBJ release from PMDG.Anyway, maybe I am able to simulate the BBJ on my own ?Is there a way to increase the volume of the tanks to get a longer range ?Are there any other differences between the 737-700 and the 737 BBJ ?Other engines ? PMDG,I have created kneeboard checklist and reference files for use in the PMDG 600/700NG aircraft. This files, however, use some of your copywrited material. I would like permission to post these files for others to use. They are in HTML format and are for FS2004. Have not checked them in FS2002. The checklist is extremely detailed and covers from entering the aircraft to exiting the aircraft.May I have your permission to use and distribute the material?

Heya guys,I'm flying with 800 almost every day now and I'm every time when I descend wondering more and more that is the slowdown of a 737-800 really so hard? I mean that when descending from cruise FL to some lower like FL100 and then below (speed limit goes to 250 then), it slows down real slowly from FL200 even with spoilers fully up and you cant have a descend rate over 1700-1800 fpm with spoilers up if you dont want to go over the limit. I thought that something just has to be wrong with it, it has to be possible to slow the lady down a bit faster and keep it on set speed even with a descend. When I have visited some flights in cockpit, they are not using full spoile…

I set a plan in the fmc and then when i engage the auto pilot, it flies the route but always off the set course either to the side of the set course or at an angle to it.Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

Today I was flying from KLAX to KSFO when I noticed that the left main gear was down. No matter what I did I could not raise the gear to the up position. I had an indication (Green Light) that the right gear was down. I landed on 28L in KSFO and came to a slow crash when the left landing gear collapsed, the laeft wing hit the ground and then smoke and fire, however, I survived to fly another day.I have no failures programmed, I don't know what's happeningI would appreciate any help anyone can offer.ThanksED M

I have tried removing the entries in the aircraft config and the texture folders, but the unwanted aircraft still show on the "SELECT AIRCRAFT" drop-down menu.Does anyone know the correct procedure?

Hi everyone,I have had this problem in the past, but when I have reloaded flightsim it has been fine.When I put my mouse over any clickable switch, knob or anything like that on the 737-60/700, the mouse goes all weird. It sort of changes to the egg timer symbol and flashes on and off, really fast. You can't really click on the witch properly as it just disappears.Any help would be much appreciated! When doing flights at night it feels a bit odd that the cabin is so bright all the time. Hi I have the original disc of the PMDG 737 600/700, it won't let me install it!! I click install and get the message "PMDG 737-600/700 Service Update 1.3 has encountered a problem and needs to close".I downloaded the update patch (did I need to do that??) but even that won't install-same error message!!!!! ARRRGGGHHHH!It is a new original disc, not a copy and not a download-so why wont it install??Im running Windows XPTIAcherokeejockey

Hi:I have had the 600/700 package since it was released. I final got the 800/900 package. I must say it is the best I have seen. I was wondering though if there is going to be or if anyone has a Westjet 800 livery. Westjet have several on order. ThanksBruce
