hello, this is my first question on this forum after some years as a "passive" member. i am martin hecker, i am from germany and i am a huge fan of the 737ng aircraft by pmdg. unfortunately, since the 738/9-update, there have been some problems. at first, i experienced the "engine failure at v1" problem. after installing the interim update, this problem was solved. yesterday i did a 40 min flight, and there were 3 failures of both engines. one during climbout and two during descent. before flying i cleared all failures in the pmdg-failure menu. so now i have no idea how to solve this problem. has anyone else experienced this strange behaviour? is there a solution?thank you…

Hi all,When flying a STAR to an Approach (or actually on departure too) with speed constraints, I note that all is well as we approach the first fix with a speed constraint but then ....... it would seems as though the fix speed constraints are overridden by flap schedule speeds or sub 10k speeds so -we have a 285kt descent to a decelleration point before a fix with a 175 kt speed restriction. The FMC reflects this. As soon as I select flaps, the limited speed increases to 211. The aircraft will then merrily only fly to the flap schedule speeds rather than fix speeds.Similarly on departure, ascent above 10000 seems to remove any speed restrictions at subsequent fixes (thi…

Future Airline Pilot Can anybody give me a flight plan with the departure and arrival vectors and waypoints in between from Newark (KEWR) to London heathrow (EGLL). Or can you give me a good web site where i can find those flight plans? Ive been searching for one and can't find a site for the flight planning portion. I would like to fly this tonight. Thanks. Hallo!First of all, i've noticed that there is already such a post. But it seems to me that that post just applies to the 800/900 version and I've tried everything what's in there(the reality switches, the battery switch, the avionics switch). So if the PMDG Team or anyone else has got an idea what I can do please post it here.thxBernhard Castellazzi---------------------------===================================PMDG 737 600/700 VERSION 1.30 RELEASE VERSION1/14/04 BUILD 80 0300Z===================================

How about a little little little little screenshot showing something of the model in a very small picture (bit of the gear, bit of the engine, bit of the nose) of the 747. I promise I won't drool all over it!*Hungry*David Walschots

Hi, PMDG flyersThe RealityXP Wx500 weather radar has a very good approach scheme to the representation of a storm weather avoidance system, with real-time rendering technology and true to life graphics. But the panel integration still remains a problem. It is jus another

Thought this was a neat note: On History Channel on Tactical to Practicle, they were showing flight simulators. A guy had a full scale 737NG cockpit, and it used the PMDG 737-700. There were many shots of the PMDG 737 exterior model. Thought i'd drop a note and let people and the PMDG crew know and to keep an eye out. It was just on minutes ago, so a reply of the show could be on today.AJ LongResearch and Marketing VP - Hyperion Airwayshttp://www.HyperionAirways.comVATSIM Miami ARTCC Air Traffic ControllerMicrosoft Windows XP Home Edition

Just got this product and love it. However, since I am always looking for an easier way to do things, I was wondering if there were any existing flight plans available (primarily for the US, specificaly KBOS if possible).Checked the file library here and could only find one PMDG 737 specific batch of flight plans and they were all for European flights. Thanks (in advance),John Erwin

I am thinking of using a touchscreen monitor PC for the use of the FMC. It would be great. My question: if using a touchscreen PC for the display of the FMC in a network, would I require WideFs or Wideview?WideFS -> no need to install FS on 2nd PC?Wideview -> needs to install FS on 2nd PC?Thanks for all the info!

For those who can't wait ;-) ...As my son has the chicken pox it will take some days until I can upload the gauge on AVSIM.In the meantime here's the gauge as an attachment. The gauge only works correctly with FS9 and is intended for those who don't have the 800/900.CheersThomas

Hi,some of you might know, that I am constructing a 737NG flightdeck. I would like to use the PMDG 737NG as aircraft. Well, I wanted to find out how realistic PMDG converted the parameters. So I took a cockpit-DVD last night and selected a flight, where all the important data was visible prior to the flight. That means, passenger- and cargoweight, fuel, runway and so on...I noted all the data and implemented it into the PMDG.Next I carefully watched the takeoff at the DVD. Well, V1, VR, climbrate, climbrate at VNAV-engaged, speedlimits and so on...Aditionally I took the time from "start rolling" to VR etc.(That means, when does the pilot set N1, when is he doing what at th…

HiIm having problems descending with my PMDG 737 700, I follow my flight plan no problems, but ATC seem to always tell me to start descent before ToD, I set say 10000 on the MCP press VNav and nothing happens with ATC giving me the constant please expidite your descent over and over, I have to give in and set descent (say -2000 feet per min) on the vertical speed on the MCP, consequently my speed just slowly increases very annoying when I want to maintain 250 knots below 10000 feet...I have tried the Des Now on the Descent page but at a controlled descent of 1000 feet per minute its just to slow. I hope I ve made sense with all this, apologies if I havent. Appreciate any…

Just wanting to confirm something for a friend; you set the CLB, CRZ, and DES pages before takeoff right? Also wondering for myself what a Transition altitude really is. I've always left it alone, but wondering what it is.Nick B.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg--AMD Athlon XP 3200+ @ 2.2 Ghz400W Power supply3x 80 mm Case FansSoyo VIA KT600 Dragon PlusnVidia GeForce FX 5200 128 mb2 x 512 PC400100 GB Western DigitalMicrosoft Sidewinder Precision 2

Hi Guys,Sorry about posting in the wrong area previously. We all live and learn. My problem is I can't get the ATC to call "Virgin Blue" or "Virgin Pacific" when using these 700 and 800 series download aircraft. How do I get it to work? And also I'm having problems with getting SIMS and STARS to work in the FMC. How do I handle the download once its arrived? Do I open or leave zipped?Thank you one and allPeter B

Hi PMDG Team,I have been on a rant on the other forum about how great the 800/900 upgrade has been so I won't do another here.simple request. Currently I fly the PMDG 737-700 with the United Airlines new livery. Can those of us that are UAL lovers, please!!!!!!! do a fictual UAL 737-800 winglet or 900 with the United new colors. John T, I am flying your work and just love it. However I would like to move up a little and show all my United neighbors what they could be doing with a all Boeing fleet (grin). Now I just have to add this, the upgrade is just OUTSTANDING!!!!!!CheersBob JohnsonDenver, CO

Hi Folks.I recently installed the PMDG 600/700 NG package. I seem to be having a bit of a problem with the keyboard commands. When I am extending the flaps in any other aircraft I press the F7 button and F6 to retract. However, when I do this in the PMDG NG package nothing happens. The same applies to the Reverse trust. On touchdown I would press F2 to engage the RT. Is there a reason for this? The only keyboard commands that seem to work are the Gear and Lights.I also have the goflight panels (GF-P8 / GF-MCP / GF-45) and they don

I know I've seen this written somewhere but am having no luck finding it at the moment. When you're setting up the cockpit pretakeoff, do you set the MCP speed bug to V2 or V2+15.My tendency is to set V2 since that's what we do on the Challenger but I have this nagging voice in the back of my head that says the 73 is supposed to be set for V2+15. If that nagging voice is correct, then that raises a second question: What's the correct airspeed for second segment climb after an engine failure? Thanks,cz
