    Is it possible to change the FMC font in the PMDG 737? Now it's white and doesn't look like an fmc font. Is this truly a correct font for the next gen FMC?The font is very different from for example, dreamfleet's 737, which i think looks more realistic. And isn't it supposed to be green?

    Hi,Say if you load up the 737 to it's max take off weight; I have noticed you can input weights way above your MTOW limit into the FMC, is this true to real life ? Also, how do you get your engines to give you max thrust? By playing around if I select a false OAT of 23 degrees that seems to give me my max n1 number although true OAT was 14 degrees. I would have thought entering no number would give max n1 number? Does dispatch tell you what to fly or do the pilots have tables/progams to do calculations for them.Also, how do you know what flap to use? If the runway is short and your at your MTOW what flap should you use; 15 maybe even 25? Finally is there a program like th…

    Dear PMDG,I dont want to sound too impatient, but it has been a few weeks waiting for the BA colours for the -800 or -900. Please can you release the paintjob as an installer or make the unique parts available on avsim for a self install.I know BA dont have 600,700,800,900s but they have one of the biggest 737 fleets in the world, and a whole load of other bigger boeings, so theres plenty of reason for it! BA is definately a Boeing airline!Theres only so many flights I can fly out of the corrupted EHAM airport, old fs2004 runways and new SID STARs make for a thoroughly irrating course of events, and nl-2000, well i dont have a pentium 6 yet!Many thanks in advancemcbootu…

    Today I started a flight with 737-800 as usually. I have been flying the plane since it was released and nothing like that has ever happened yet.I taxied to the runway, made all procedures correctly as always ( ;) ) regarding to the checklists I have and started my takeoff roll. It was a reduced takeoff with mode TO-1, also not first time. Then I retracted the gear after positive climb. Instantly the plane started to increase speed and it was increasing and increasing to somewhere around 900 knots indicated, everything started to vibrate and then sirens started, also the ENG FAIL texts appeared for both engines.     I recently installed Lee Herrington's TCAS gauge and in the readme he mentioned that he did the coding for the PMDG 737's TCAS and also that in his gauge AIBRIDGE was not needed to show multiplayer aircraft.     Hi,I load the B737-800 or -900 just right, have the data and enter it correctly into the FMC.But when I am in approach phase I look up the speed for landing. I deselerate down to this speed and set the flaps step by step untill I am at flaps 35 or 40 and at the speed FMC tells me. But I am about nose down and not about 2

    HiI have been wondering why I can't see other aircrafts on the ND? When doing the test - I get the "TCAS systems test okay".I have also set it to "Show all non threatening aircrafts" - but I can't see any.I get the "traffic" warnings as I should, but no sign of any traffic on the ND.I have attached a screenshot showing traffic close to me, but not to see on the ND.Hope you can help.BrSteen

    Dear PMDG,First off fantastic work with the 737 package. Very impressive. I've just made a fictitious airport and I was wondering how do I enter the airport in the FMC? For example when I enter the 4 letter ICAO designator, it says Not In Database, which I to be expected. Any ideas?Cheers.

    I`ve put a flight plan into fmc using fs navigator heathrow to manchester including sids and stars i tried the plan and all seemed ok the beginning of the star the I got a message that the intercept was lost I checked back to the fmc and noticed that according to the fmc no sids are available on the arr runway although I know that according to fs navigator they are available.can someone tell me what the problem is please,eric

    Hello all. I am wondering about how to program a descent profile into the FMC. I have been through Metzinger's tutorial, as well as tried to find it in the manual, but must have missed it. I keep getting the famous "drag required" message on descent, and can't figure out how to get rid of it.I know that in the FMC you can enter winds on descent, but I have no clue how to figure that out. I also have Active Sky 2K4 which gives winds aloft, but what do I use?     Hi There :7Sometimes the gauges on the 2d panel freeze at times and the only way to get them working again is to cycle through the view options until you are back to the 2d 'pit. Its annoying at times, especially when flying an intensive approach or departure and you are staring at the instruments thinking... "what the hell .. this can't be right!?!?"The problem was noticed a while ago, i remember a few others posting about it and someone from PMDG said it would be fixed in the next update.     Good morning,I was wondering. The altitude callouts which come with the PMDG 737 series are far from the ones used on most Dutch airliners. The voice used for the altitude callouts is a costumer option.I have the sound files with these authentic callouts. Is it possible to change the PMDG callouts with these? I tried to just rename the files, but that didn't work. Any suggestions?greetz,Sonny

    First of all, I would like to thank the PMDG team for the breathtakingly good pacakages both (737 and B1900D) of which I am now a proud owner. I am actually kicking myself for not taking the plunge earlier with the 737............all that time wasted when I could have been flying this superb plane!In the interests of absolute perfection may I just point out a small issue with the BMI Baby livery. The aircraft cfg for this livery has the callsign as "Midlands" when it should read "Midland". Not a big difference I know, but enough for ATC to fail to recognise the former, and I appreciate that most of us know how to alter the cfg anyway.Many thanks again and I, like many o…

    When i setup the entire flight trough FMC, on landing i have a nice white bug on the speed tape together with a green one.But none of them is ever in the indicated speed.I mean if i have a certain vref, say 137kts, and add 8kts wind correction, i have a final vref of 145kts.Well neigther of the bugs do ever point to 145, nor 137 for the sake of it...So i am asking if there are some internal calculations i do not know of, or what?

    hi allim flying the 800 and i always let the FMC do all the speed and altitude calculations between dep and arrival airporthowever every single time after T/D the plane starts to descend fine, but then soon after i get an FMC msg saying that the VNAV has disconnected because of overspeed!how can i stop this from happening, i have let the FMC do all the speed and altitude calcuations so its not that i am putting in excess speed at the waypoints.thx

    Hi all,I just flew on a Ryanair -800, window seat just behind the wing and did notice alot of spoiler movement tied to the outboard ailerons, which looked really cool! Lots of little and quick spoiler deviations on a bumpy departure out of stansted.A question if I may:In LNAV/VNAV and HDG mode I cannot get the spoilers to be used in course changes. Somewhat connected, is there anyway to control the aircraft's bank angle in LNAV/VNAV through the FMC ? The bank angle selector doesnt seem to work in LNAV/VNAV mode, but operates fine in HDG mode.Many thanks in advance.mcbootus

    I am new to simming large jets and bought the retail version of 737 NG because of the tutorial which I thought would give me a taste and be a basis on which to build. However, despite reading the manual carefully, and, I think, following instructions closely, I get stuck early on. While I can start the left engine, the right won't. Two questions:1. Am I doing something obvious wrong (eg a common error), or is there something missing in the tutorial?2. What would people suggest I study to get a grasp of this type of jet (I have looked at the lessons in FS2004)?Thanks for any advice.
