How do you guys deal with your flights in such a complex simulation and MS ATC? Do I have to disconect the limited MS ATC and "imagine" somebody is giving me more complex ATC instructions?Is sombody Using RC3 and PMDG 737 NG?

i am fiddling around a little, setting more accurate thrust ratings for my PMDG NG (obviously changes according to different airline engine choice), but is it possible to chnage the thrust rating in the FMC?? is there a setting in the panel.cfg or aircraft.cfg???the thrust rating changes for the different models (600,700,800,900), so ii assume there is a variable somewhere that affects this.

I understand why the recent installation of the complex 737 PMDG aircraft has resulted in reduced frame rates and longer than normal loading times.However I suspect that, to a lesser extent, ALL my aircraft are now taking longer to load and ALL now operate at slower frame rates. Not as noticable as the PMDG but nevertheless slower than before.1. Am I correct?2 I plan to double my RAM to 1024. Will that be a better answer than possibly uninstalling the PMDG 737s?My computer details are:Intel Pentium 4A 2400 MHzMemory 512 MBN'Vidia GeForce Ti 4200 AGP8X

I unfortunately have a 56k modem and want to download the 800/900 as I bought a CD version of the 600/700. Since I've been kicked off of my ISP on other sizable downloads, I'm a little hesitant to try downloading anything again. Since a CD version is not available for the 800/900 and you cannot use a download accelerator like Gozilla & GetRight, how do you disable GetRight so you can download the software on the PMDG site? If I right-click the icon on the desktop for 'GetRight', there is an option to 'Close it'. Will this disable the software so I can then get on the PMDG site and download the 800/900??Also, what happens if I get kicked off because of my ISP etc ??..…

Supporthello, Back in August of 03 I had received and email download link for Version 1.2 (SU2) however after downloading and discovering that I needed winzip or similar program to unzip it, had decided not to install the PMDG 737NG. since then I have purchased winzip 9.0 and would now like to redownload the complete 600/700 package again. I had it installed previously before SU2 came out but since SU2 required a complete removal uaing the removal tool, It's no longer on my computer. I don't have the downloaded version 1.2 SU2 file anymore and would like to download the complete package again. I have sent PMDG an email with my previous confirmation # and password, but hav…

I need help with Xaver Benz's and Thomas Scholz's pmdg_cargo_door.zip file that I downloaded from AVSIM the other day. I can't get the gauge's button to appear on the Overhead panel.I've modified panels before, so I think I have a decent understanding of what's involved and I followed Xaver's instructions exactly. Here's what I did:I have the 600-700 and the 800-900 packages. I placed the .cab file in the gauges folder as directed. I then modified the 2 panel.cfg files referred to in Xaver's Read Me. I did this for the panel.cfgs in the 600 and the 800 aircraft, all the panel.cfgs for the other aircraft being aliases. I then loaded a 600 aircraft, entered the 2D cockpit, …

Hi thereSometimes ATC asks me to fly the current heading when passing a certain waypoint. I am flying LNAV at that moment and just before passing the waypoint I switch to heading mode. I entered the same heading as displayed on the ND (but this track, not heading, right?)But when there is a strong crosswind the heading is not the same as the TRK displayed on the ND. Because when I enter the TRK in my heading display on the MCP, the aircraft can fly another direction up to a few degrees. How can I calculate the heading that I have to fly after a certain waypoint? Do some airlines display the heading on the ND and others TRK?I hope somebody has an answer for meBest Regards,…

Could this be due to low fuel -I seem to get a low fuel warning shortly after take off -wtih a suggestion to press Ctl X to correct.Or maybe incorrect trim setting - seems to be in the green area but not set as instructed to 5.5 -How, in simple terms, do you modify trim setting please??Bernie Lonnen :-lol

Hi!I live very next to the airport, so I stay for hour seeing aircrafts landing!So, I've been seeing that 737-700PMDG lands strange.It comes 2 or 3 degrees pitch up, but the real aircrafts approach 1 or 0 degrees! When I tochdown with 737-700, it touchs about 7 or 6 degrees, the real one land abou 3 or 4, the 737-800 lands very well, 3 degrees. So, 737 really makes an 2, 3 degrees approach or there's a problem on my lands? Ps.: I land with Vref+5 with 737-700.Thank you one more time!

Hi,I am interested in buying the PMDG 737NG but only to 600/700 series for now (the base pack). I have read through many postings of people with the 800/900 series having slow frame rates for which PMDG is working on a patch. I have seen how much praise everyone is giving PMDG for their dedicated tech support etc... and this makes me even more eager to buy!But I'm still worried that my planes may be unflyable due to poor frame rates (I believe resulting from PMDG's excellent but complex panels which our fast PC's can't handle). Is there anyone who owns just the base pack 737-600/700 who has any frame rate problems or is the base pack free of such problems? This is ass…

Sorry to bring back a memory of "the other thread" on this, but it was too long and probably not my exact problem (which may be simply a blonde moment(s) on my part).Bought 737 NG 3 days ago. Been through the tutorials and scan read most of the FMC manual with detailed reads of various areas.During the tutorial flight I had a few problems that I put down to just poor systems understanding on my part. The A/P modes started disengaging closing in on approach, I failed to notice this and ended up going missed, runway was in sight and I was still at 2000 ft.Going missed I hit the TO/GA mode and set the MP altitudes etc. The FMC had the correct MP as the active route, but t…

Greetings,I am contemplating purchase of the 737 NG product, but am confused (or perhaps even unhappy :-)) about the current "packaging":I am interested in the 737 NG 600/700, which are in the "base" product. OK. But as I understand it, the 800/900 "upgrade" not only includes the larger models (in which I am not so interested), but also some [em]general[/em] improvements which would also apply to the 600/700.So, it seems that in order to get a "state of the art" 600/700, I would need to buy the upgrade product, too -- even though I don't want the extra models. Okay first of all I would like to say hello, second of all I just registered and I am not sure if I am allowed to post here because some of the oter posts look pretty offical from PMDG but I guess I will find out.I am working my way through Tim Metzinger's tutorial on how to fly the PMDG 737NG. I am on the flight whic is a scenic tour from KTNT to KMCO. In that flight we were supposed to do a non-precision approach and a missed approach. So I start to set up the arrival, but when I got to KMCO's arrival page their are no STAR's or Approaches. I recently downloaded the latest Navdata cycle. Does anyone what is going on?Thank you in advance

I know that it is mainly a FS2004 problem but maybe someone has anidea.When I use the PMDG 737 e.g. in the caribbean or pacific region the OAT on T.O. is mostly around +30 deg (dunno Farenheit).I use either the online weather option with 15 min updates from FS2004 or ActiveSky2004.On both the OAT at higher flightlevels seems to be to high so the 737 on normal loads (e.g.737-800 61 t.) climbs like an ashtray with 800ft/min at FL 200 with OAT of + 12 deg.In other regions like europe it

Hello,I would like to know if we can make a whole descent with the spoilers ? Because during a real flight the pilot deployed the spoilers during all the descent except for the landing and there were no vibrations as we can think.I would like to know the opinion of other pilots apropos this mode of descent with spoilers deployed.Thanks in advance.
