Hello-I finally got around to buying the PMDG 737NG tonight, and in the process of the download, I got about 21MBs into it and it froze. I'm not sure if it's something to do with the server, or my browser. I'm using Mozilla 1.7 on a DSL connection. I double checked my connection and that doesn't seem to be the problem. If I download pmdg 737-700 can I burn it to a disk to keep it and put it on another computer eg: (the kids computer), or is there some electronic link that prevents this via a registration or something like that, will it only allow the downloading computer to use it. Also if I buy it through another party, does it come with a box and manuals? Thanks Jeff

What about other similarly detailed and well modeled payware?I have tried the PMDG 737 and Knokmedia (Altitude) Concorde and although both are very different, Concorde is an old 60/70s steam guage, 3 crew member job, and being an SST the workload is much higher than a modern subsonic bird like the NG, well worth a look.I also tried the PSS dash 8, by borrowing a copy from a friend. Last night I was flying and I got to thinking, how come in all the planes (not just PMDG) the have a VCAB, Why are the seats empty?Is it a ghost plane? Just curious as to why it hasn't been done, or at least attempted...:0)

I am in the FMC of the -600 and building my very first RTE. I've consulted the tutorial no. 1 by Fred Clausen and that's where the trouble started. I cannot seem to get data accepted into the FMC RTE window. Most of the time, it says "Invalid entry."For e.g., I have successfully inserted my personally selected initial departure waypoints (don't even ask me about the KDEN SIDs; that went hopelessly for me, unfortunately). But then when I select J80 to fly to the VOR of MLF, it says once again "Invalid entry." Why? MLF is valid and that is accepted under "TO", but the J80 jetway is not accepted as valid under "VIA." Most jetways are not accepted and I get "Invalid En…

I can`t get the navdata to work. I downloaded the latest AIRAC data, but FMC doesn`t find it, saying that the navdata is not valid. I use FS2002, FSUIPC v.3.30. FMCWP folder also doesn`t show up... If anyone has a clue, please help me. Denis.

I am slowly slowly getting used to the PMDG 737NG. I have gone a long way. However, I am still finding it hard to understand how the arrivals on the FMC work, when you can select ILS approach, because after you have to enter the waypoints, selectable from the FMC buttons. How could I get to know which one/s to select? All I know is that you have to use the maps. Also, which site do you people recommend in order to retrieve maps. Any sort of help will be highly appreciatedThanksIvor

How in PMDG 737 does one save the flight and cockpit setup so that it does not need to be reset all of the time? When I use MSFS 2004 to save the flight, it only saves the scenery, but not the switch positions and the FMC programming. I have saved the route so that I can load it again as a Company Stored route, but it still is time consuming after a reset to set the entire cockpit and FMC back up again.Any ideas? Hi,I have swapped to another machine and reinstalled FS9 and PMDG737-6/7/8/900. Everything sounds fine until I move back into the 2D cockpit after viewing from the outside, from that point on all of the sound effects including ATC and the co-pilot aural alerts (i.e. 80 knots etc) are now playing at only half of their normal speed. Before switching to the outside view the sound was normal and ATC speech was at normal speed. As soon as I reenter the 2D (using "S") the sound drops in frequency and ATC from then on is like a record (remember them!) at half speed.Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello,I had just a few little question about Real ACARS.-Can you also get the active RWY at destination airport over ACARS???-What INFO can a pilot get over ACARS??I ask this because I was wondering if you fly to an airport were the RWY's are crossed (like Zurich, switserland) and the wind has a general direction which makes it harder for a pilot to establesh which runway he can expect. I did a flight to Zurich and I could use the ILS16, ILS14 and the VORDME28. I know that they in Zurich land in all directions, so thats why I ask???

I was thinking last night that it would be really cool if we could order some PMDG T shirts. Since I am totally addicted to the PMDG 737NG , I would love to wear a shirt with a Logo on it that said PMDG Pilot or some such thing. Might be something to think about for the PMDG staff. I bet you would sell a ton of them ( since we all are addicts :)) and it would be great advertising for your product.

Something I have neglected to practice in simming that much is getting the plane straightened up when touching down in a strong X wind.I was thinking about this a bit and here's what I came up with.On approach you might have a 5 or 10 offest from center line due to wind. Landing like that is probably not good for the gear, certainly it will wear the tyres badly, possibly flat spotting them, which give vibration and they need replaced. If you land heavy and remember "grip" is directly related to force on the contact area of rubber (from driving sims :D), the plane may even attempt to roll up on you. You could even bust the gear off in the extreme or slap a wing tip into…

Hi,I have tried using fuel from the center tank and it sets off the master caution light for fuel. Also I'm confused about the forwardand aft tanks. Which is the center tank (fuselage) and which isthe wing tanks? I use the top 2 switches on the overhead panel andyou can see the fuel from the center gauge being used but it setsoff the master caution light.
