I am building a comp like this...I am only a teenager so $ is a prob anyways here is what I got Athlon 3200 with 400FSBATI AIW All-In-Wonder 9800 Pro 128MB AGP Card 120 Gig Hard Drive512 mb of ramThe thing I want to accomplish is running the PMDG 737 smoothly...I am just going to have this as a game comp. so nothing else on it I have the hard drive and ram already but I was just wondering if I have my settings on low if the PMDG 737 would run "smoothly" by which I mean no stuttering...Thank you Chad Moore

i've finished what, as afar as i can tell is a fully functional version of my Business Jets/military variants of the PMDG 737NG & am ready to let you guys try it.open beta release, i'll only leave the file available on my server for a few days though, to save on my bandwidth (its 18mb btw). if no problems are found by anyone else, i'll go shead & post it on AVSIM next week.it requires the 737-600/-700 & -800/-900 & ALL updates (so the service update for the 800/900 & model updates for the 600/700).all other instructions & information are contained in the readme, be sure to follow them otherwise things won't work as they should.be sure to download t…

PMDG Support,When using the Boeing 737NG series in Flight Simulator 2004, I have noticed that there is a small graphics issue with the Navigation Display (ND) on the First Officer's side of the panel (see attached images.) The first image (88002.jpg) shows the problem in the 737-700 after the optional model update that adds the clickable VC to the 737-600 and 700 cockpits. The second image (88004.jpg) shows the problem in the 737-800 (version 1.0.) The graphics issue appears in the 737-800 and 900 (version 1.0) and then in all of the aircraft after the optional model update. Hey Guys,I posted the same problem a couple months ago, on what was happening to my 737-900, but no one ever helped me :0( Maybe this time someone can...Anyways ever since I downloaded the PMDG 737/800/900, All I get is scenery problems...The 737/800 "continental" series at night time one side is completely white while the other is normal...But when I use the "Delta" 737-800 its fine...Now another probelm I have is when I use the continental 737-900, and while I'm at the gate programming my FMC...all the scenery starts blinking black and white...I used the regular PMDG paint 737-900 and it worked fine...Its only the Continental textures that are doing this..I have a rea…

I have read different problems on several different threads on the 800-900 including the problems after installing the update, and I was thinking that maybe there is a common denominator to all of them . I decided that I would list all of mine and see if the people that have one of them, have them all. 1. Electrical switches on overhead panel do not click anymore. They do, until you install the 800-900 update and then they stop clicking . 2. Fire Alarm Bell from startup is erratic and doesn't work 50% of the time. By reselecting the Aircraft ( even the same one) it starts working again. 3. Elevator Trim noise doesn't work from startup many times. By reselecting the…

I have about 4 deg nose up with flaps 30 at 120K lbs LW. It looks like about 6 deg in SPOT view but it never exceeds 5 deg max according to the default FS9 instruments when I bring up that view and is usually 4 deg. Is 4 deg pitch up normal for the -600 with that weight and flap setting ? I am reluctant to change any Vref speeds with this pitch since all works very well. I am just curious about this item in particular.Thanks!Jonathan

hi,in reality and in cockpit-videos i saw that the descent rate in the 737 NG can be up to 3000 or more, the use of spoilers makes allows even higher sinkrates.in the PMDG 737, my typical descent rate is 1600 fpm - at idle. when i start the descent at 39000, the rate is a bit higher, but very soon the fpm will be only 1400-1700 fpm.is this realistic, or are the engines a little overpowered in order to allow close-to-idle-taxiing?thanksmalte

Recently on making two flights I noticed what I imagine is an inaccuracy in the 737NG's. It seems that the aircraft (warning indicators, FMC, etc) does not reset when all electrical power has been removed. I made a few patterns this morning around KSLC and then shut the aircraft down and left it there for an hour while I ate and paid some bills. When I came back I powered the aircraft back up and the OffSchedDescent light was already lit. The FMC was also set as it was previously. During the time it was sitting, neither ground power, battery power, or any generators were on the bus.

Hello,I tried to find an answer to my question using search and in the manuals to no avail. If making an approach to an airport utilizing a non precision approach or circle to land procedures and the MDA is above 1000ft, ex: 1040FT how do I set this on the Radio altimeter selector?I can set any DH or MDA from 0-1000ft using the Radio Altimeter minimums on the MCP but not above. Do I simply keep rotating the minimums around until it passes the 0 to equal 1000 and then rotate to the hundredth value? Any suggestions?Also what is the function of TR1, TR2 and TR3 on the DC control selector?Sorry not 737 typed yet! Thanks,Stephen

This past Thursday on a flight that originated on a 757 from KLAS to KATL, my wife & I boarded Flight 414 to Charlotte. The approach was initiated and everything appeared to be normal so I went about reading the inflight mag's...I sensed that the pilot was not slowing the A/C during the approach and also sensed that something wasn't quite right. As we were descending further, the pilot did a missed approach and started to climb. I noticed that the flaps on descent were no greater than 15 or possibly at max 20 degrees. Well I have been progressing rather well with PMDG and can program the FMC pretty well, hand fly the ILS etc, so I was thinking that I had this Sim pretty much under control. So what do I do, I buy some more payware. I wanted better looking weather so I bought Active Sky. Clouds that don't disappear when you climb above them weather radar in the Plane, winds aloft , really accurate weather in flight and at the terminal, etc. etc. Oh, I almost forgot, it also has a 40 page Owners Manual that I am going to have to read so I can learn how to "work" everything.. Here I go again :)

As explained in the documentation, the dome light is only meant for the VC. Hello,I'm having a new problem with the 737NG series that I hope someone can shed some light on. I started (trying) to fly these again this week after not loading them for a month or so, and now my flight displays won't, well, display. They're just black, no matter how I start up the aircraft. I've tried full cold-n-dark startups following the published procedures, and I've used ctl-e to autostart, both with the same result. I can't find any way to activate those displays. Are they supposed to become active when the battery power is switched on? I've got a key combo mapped to avionics master on/off, but this doesn't have any effect on them at all. I'm ok with programming your typical crossing restriction like "Cross LARKS at and maintain 17k and 250 knots."My questions is programming less location specific restrictions.IE:------------------DTW Palace 2 SID (and the others) all have departures cross "The DXO 10 DME Arc at or above 5000."or:Ohare's ORD1 has anyone assigned a 330 through 060 initial heading cross ORD 5 DME at or above 3k, 8 DME at or above 4k.Possibly even worse:ORD1 assigned 120-220 without DME cross the DPA 093 radial at or above 4k.------------------Anyway... is it actually possible to program the FMC to utilize these arcs or radials, as opposed to fixes, for crossing restrictions…

1)what I quite don't understand is that many often I get a message from the FMC that drag is required from as high as above 20000 ft.Is this common ?2)most of the times I get VNAV disconnect and end up to high to capture ILS.I thougt that the FMC would calculate the apropriate descend profile to get things right?right?3)when downwind and turning base -final (with LNAV) most always ,the plane makes some kind of a shortcut and never flies above the fix(es), so again ...to high...this happens using the SIDS&STARS as provided.I don't know , but I have the impression that it,s wurse since the service update (might be subjective, though)hope that someone can help,Patten

Hi, I am using the PMDG 737 expansion, along with the PMDG 800/900 series expansion. I am experiencing a drop out of textures (areas of the screen go black)but then return to normal after a second or so, during all phases of flight, from taxi to landing. It is highly frustrating, as my system does not do this on any other add-on aircraft. Does anyone have any suggestions; help would be appreciated. I wonder if it could be a clash with Gary Summons scenery or VFR scenery. i know people are gonna think im crazy for asking this and thats fine. i was just wondering if the is any way in the world i can diable the FMC , and fly the 737 using the autopilot like the default.
