I fly the PSS A320 and PMDG 737 and find the PMDG product vastly superior in ever respect except one...When performing an Autoland in the 737, it simply won't track the centreline during the rollout (even when winds are calm) and veers left or right. It will also respond to manual rudder input with both autopilots still engaged. Is this right??

Guys, I'm about to fail my last year of my degree, due to ... you guessed it, FS2004 and most of that time has been spent in the 737!If the 747 is released in the next month or 2 I will almost surely spend far, far, far too much time playing and no time studying!Of course, if you could find someway to disable the accelerated time function for the first release anyway, then I could study will doing long hauls.I'm only kidding, but just don't let me buy it when it comes out, release it but add, "NOT to be bought by students about to fail their software engineer and digital communication modules"Thanks :)

This is a simple problem that I have just noticed. See if you can figure it out.I'll tell ya. The plane's fuselage is supposed to block out the sun on the engine, right? Perhaps it's a limitation of FS, but I hadn't seen any mention of it before.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/88871.jpg

Visual landing at NZIR. Try it. Tip is... the runway is ICE! Dont even consider the brakes, the don't work. If you don't stop, it's into the (very cold) drink.Good fun though, if you set up an X wind, you can get some pretty cool broadslides down the runway.

Is there any way for me to reduce the idle speed while taxiing? I have the throttle all the way back and the aircraft still wants to gain speed while taxiing to the active or from the active to the gate area. I have to use the brakes a lot to slow the building speed. thanks,Eric TSt Augustine, FL

Hi it was my birthday only a week ago and my dad said that he'd buy me a new computer(well not exactly but he said he'd upgrade the current one, which means basically new). Currently i'm running the following: AMD Althon 1.11Ghz (Slow I know)512 MB DDRTornado Geforce 4 MX440 64MbSo the question is What should i buy Processor, Motherboard and Graphics card wise to imporve the system, which i admit is not brilliant. Currently on FS9 with the PMDG i can get about 30FPS average, with only the 2D cockpit. I'm sure this can be improved. the biggest problem i have (which i believe is down to processor speed) is the fact that the game whilst having the reasonable FPS runs slowly …

For those of you who haven't already noticed, Terry Yingling has updated his tutorial on making terminal procedures to version 4. Adds information about the new TURN LEFT/RIGHT DIRECT command. It is available in the library; making_737ng_procedures_v4.zip and making_737ng_procedures_v4_correction.zip.Thanks Terry for your work and contribution to the community!

I was lucky enough to spend an hour in a new 737 800 NG cockpit and had a good chat with the captain (on the ground as you are not allowed in the air anymore thanks to you know who).I really appreciated how gr8 the PMDG 737 NG was when I went through the real systems and I can assure all those people who demand reality that all of the critical systems are modelled other than a few niceties like WX radar and the spoiler panel at the back of the overhead panel. The one interesting system that was missing and would have to be an easy add on is the new HUD display. Apparently it is being added to help reduce the number of tail straikes caused by over rotation on the longer 800…

Hello. Am here again for help. I recently suffered a HD meltdown..but hey, it allowed me to do some serious upgrading>>>.Anyway, I have spent the past 2 days downloading all of my past favorites and setting up MSFS2004. But I have a minor problem. Am sure it has been asked before, so i apologize ahead of time here...1- I selected PDMG and cold and dark cockpit in select a flight...it still opens at the gate with engines running and ready to go. 2- when I do get to the gate and a start up, it is paused...didn't have this before. Thanks for the help. I upgraded to a AMD athlon 64 3400, 1MB of DDR400 RAM, and kept my nVidia 5700 Ultra card....tonights flight from KAT…

  19. The PMDG -600 NG does not re-set if I crash the plane during training flights. The monitor screen goes black and has only the FS9 bar at the top. As a result of this, I have to reboot FS9 and sometimes Windowx XP Home Ed.I've never had an add-on do this and I have a medium hi-end DELL, factory standard, with a ton of bells and whistles and good solid history running dual monitors. Also, when I reload a saved situation using the PMDG NG, the autopilot often goes mad if it was saved in the ON position, and crashes the plane. Or the heading goes nuts. So I have a double frustration in that case: no proper loading and no possibility of resetting without rebooting FS9 at …

I made a checklist of my own, combining the one from the PMDG manual and Metzinger's tutorial. IMHO some things aren't very logic, so I'd like to ask you all if I'm right or wrong. Sometimes I think I will be very nitpicking (if that is the right word), but I just like to do things as realistic as possible... Here it goes (it's a long story, so be patient.... ;)1. If I start…

Hoi all,I'm a new user (about a month) of PMDG 600/700/800/900.The planes are great! But there are two things that I want to ask you:- I had this a couple of times on takeoff. I calculated the fuel with wind, alternate, taxi and holding fuel. It was about 7000lb fuel more than I needed for that flight. At Vr on takeoff roll the FMC calculate the fuel needed for the flight based on the current fuel flow and offcoarse it was insufficient. At liftoff the autothrottle disconected and power droped. I had this problem a coupled of times. Also in the middle of a flight I get the INSUFFICIENT FUEL on the CDU but I can fly to my destination whitout a problem. WHY?- second thi…

Hi there after the latest bought over the lousy frame rates that vector gauges give to your users are there any plans to change to more conventional ways of writing them? Otherwise there will be more problems with your B747-400 one as well. I for one cant wait to show my dad who is a real airline B747-400 pilot. I plan to install it for him in Singapore when I get there in November. For him to practice procedures. Cant do that if it is a slide show though! One more thing is are you guys planning to do other american made planes? Like the MD-11 which has never been done before? I am sure many of us are looking forward to that.Regards,Darren
