I've come across a credible report that TDS - who developed a Garmin trainer based version of the GTN650/750NXi for MSFS - will be releasing a version for XP12 very soon. That fits with a few screenshots I've seen recently where the GTN has been obfuscated, presumably because it was beta software that wasn't ready to be revealed yet. With RXP currently appearing not to be that interested in talking to anyone about their plans for supporting XP12 maybe some competition will be good for customers.

X-Plane 12 Beta makes me think about a 2024 Super GTX Car model. Today you can already be one of the distinguished owners if you purchase it. But it's only in Beta development! The car comes with four wheels but no spare tire yet. It has only one windshield wiper on the front. The second one is under development. The car comes without radio so far but it will come out next month. Headlights are installed but without light bulbs so far. It has 6 gears but the reverse will be delivered in four months. Only front seats are mounted so far. The back seats are under development. Airbags are not functional so far. They are under strict engineering progress. …

I have sent in a ticket to Airfoil Labs and have not received a response resolving this problem. I purchased this lovely aircraft almost 2 weeks ago and it still starts our with a hole in the windscreen and cannot complete the activation. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

I mean at release time? I believe I read somewhere it will include the dual MCDU/FMGC? That would be great for a default aircraft, making ir a study-level default airliner?

I was finally able to spend some time in sim today after a month away from the computer. Was bouncing around KPDX area and literally thought to myself: "I hope those drab tree textures near this airport get updated in the beta run". And then it clicked: It's fall up there right now! I had been away long enough for the trees to drop their leaves. I've never thought much about the seasons in XP, but boy does it bring a smile to the face now... Real time + real weather = *chef's kiss*

Hi! I am pretty sure it is the wrong forum to ask this (and hopefully someone more wise than me will move the question). I have a problem finding the rule that defines the fouling next to every OSM field. Best example is if you just look at the two attached screenshots. I would like to just have no fouling next to the fields - that's all. My config file is also attached (more or less the HD one). THX in advance!!!

I have multiple screens connected to the new XP-12, no issues with XP11. But on the main screen i get like clouds/fog patches on screen. The funny ting is my side widows screens dont have this at all only my main screen 3400x1240, res, Runnng Nvidia RTX3070 with all the latest updates. Anybody?

I find the mouse handling very tiring. It attaches when it should not and vice versa, while looking around in- and outside. Thanks for hints

Used XP12 since release with few problems, but all of a sudden it is opening to a black screen. I see the XP12 loading screen, but the screen goes black when the initial menu opens. I can move the mouse pointer and it shows a pointing finger icon when I move over the options (start last flight etc). Can anyone advise me on action to take to investigate this? EDIT : The aircraft loads, I can hear the engine and when I move the throttle the aircraft responds, but the screen is black!

As I don't have an A320, I took the default B737. However, Capt. Sully would choose X-Plane for birdstrike training.

Hi all. First post here. I run X-Plane 11.55 64-bit OpenGL. PC Is a MSI MEG Trident X 10TE-1294 Gaming Desktop (microsoft.com) with RTX 3080 graphics card on Windows 10. My other hardware is a Honeycomb Alpha Flight Control and Bravo Throttle Quadrant, as well as RealSimGear GTN750/GFC500 Bundle. The plane I am training on is a Cessna 172 with G1000. My problem is that no matter what I have tried along with someone assisting me, anywhere from 10 minutes on, whether flying or sitting doing nothing on the runway, suddenly the GTN750 and G1000 simultaneously black out (turn off), and I cannot turn them back on. Regarding the info you can out put to the upper left screen like the fps and lots of other stuff...I would bet the size of those boxes with the flickering data are sized by a setting in the settings.txt file. I would like mine a bit larger. Anyone play with this and can tell me which lines of code deal with this...?

The Winwing simApp is a Windows only app. What is the easiest way to get into it on a Mac????I would rather not use the VirtualBox stuff.. it didn't work well on my Mac M1. Or am I going to have to find a Windows PC to plug the throttle into so I can make adjustments....

Has anyone managed to get XP12 running fluidly yet? I thought that was the whole point of Vulkan, to rid ourselves of stutters? In my experience so far, is it is a stuttering mess from min settings to max settings. In its current state it's unusable for me. I have a decent system (see sig) I was expecting much better performance for my hardware. If you have it running smoothly, please advise me of your settings. At least I'll have a starting point, then. Cheers Stu
