Good morning (+7 here) Anybody could kindly indicate me what I should do to remedy to this matter? Upon launching the simulator, the Cessna 172 G1000 in this case, all the screen and the plane are bouncing up and down and left to right and so on. Not pleasant situation for my eyes! 🙂 Is there a fix? Thank you for your kind attention JP Reuland

I am not able to bring up the Forward View with the HUD any longer (Shift W)? Is anyone else experiencing this?

  3. Anyone know if there is some type of file where I can control the width, etc. of roads in X-Plane 12. I really think the visuals look totally awesome, with the exceptions of the roads … and to a lesser degree the clouds.

Does anyone know if LR is planning to introduce some sort of online/real-world - injected traffic for XP12, with the ability to be controlled by the default in-sim ATC robot? This would be great to have!

  5. ... commercially available general purpose sim for gear actuator failure. Every serious simulator should have that. Level D simulators have failures. It's their main purpose, to train them. Many of us may know LOT flight 16. As I haven't a B767 as default plane, I did it with something smaller.

I saw a YT video the other day with Austin talking at a table with some cat at FSExpo or whatever way back in 2019. https://youtu.be/yoYOONUjST4?t=215 Is the in-sim "networking" (I'm making the presumption that Mr. Meyer is talking about multiplayer) "solid, bulletproof, and global?" I ask because I find flying seamlessly of an evening with, say, my uncle and another friend of ours very enjoyable. It's also really sweet flying of a Sunday morning with my VA compadres and any newcomers who show up.

Hi, FYI: I tried XP12 wihout ortho then reinstalled my ortho files from XP-11. Most of the files were corrupted because of the Global Scenery updates. So, I redid my tiles with the XP12 Global Scenery and the results were great - a huge improvement in the visuals. Oscar Pilote should get a World Cup medal for his work. I was mostly interested (at present) in the New Jersey corridor connecting NJ, NY, PHL, BAL and DC. The tiles did use up some disk space, but, in my opinion, was worth it. You might like to try it.

  8. ... commercially available general purpose sim for throttle jam. I'm not aware that the main competitor can do that.

I run XP 12 on a AMD Ryzen 5 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 3200 Mhz - RX 6600 XT - AMD Andrenalin 22.11.2 and i use X-World and Global Forest and settings on high and i run 35-60 FPS with default aircrafts, if is use plugins like avitab or other i get a FPS drop to 17-20 FPS, the same problem is when i use 3rd party aircraft like Aerobask that use plugins, then i get a FPS drop also :-) Have an other sim that runs on Vulkan and there is no issues, here i get hight FPS 60+ so i don't think it's the driver :-) Have tried to reset XP 12 - but it didn't help - Turn the settings down just put it up to 22 FPS with plugins enable - So for now i just use it without any plugins and then i h…

Hi, This is more for those that fly via exterior views and don't use a 3D panel to fly in XP12. I asked Ben some time ago about the nice snow and rain effects one gets to sees while flying from the 3D cockpit on the windscreen, I asked if we could get these effects while in exterior view mode for those that run full flight decks. Ben's answer was.. there is nothing to attach the rain and snow effects to while in exterior view mode. This got me thinking, keep in mind I don't know anything about programming so this may be a ridiculous question. Would it be possible to add a clear windscreen to the exterior view of XP12 so the rain and snow effect can be produced acc…

After years waiting for a freeware version of what's been available since ever for P3D and now MFS too, I found this plugin which has actually been released already in 2021 !!! Totally missed it until today, and I was hopping for a solution for my grounded ELITE TQ and GNS 430/530 modules. The TQ will make a whole lot of a difference using differential power to taxi the VSkyLabs dc-3 🙂 Elite Serial Plugin for X-Plane - Utilities - X-Plane.Org Forum

Will XP12.0 have DLSS3? No. And I hope no DLSS of any flavor. It's a closed source solution that so far only works on NV cards. LR has taken the open-source path of FSR. (check newegg for gsync vs. freesync monitors to see what has happened on a similar and recent battlefield). If DLSS implementation is a byproduct of FSR development, then ok fine. AMD has announced that FSR3.0 will generate fake frames too...they darn well better handle the latency issues and occasional garbage frames that come out of it though! https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/amd-fsr-3-announcement-frame-generation/ FSR2.0 requires screen-space motion vectors and LR has decl…

Does anyone know if XP12 run will implement this or frame generation? Or something similar? It worked wonders in other games, they’re so fluid. It would be great too if XP12 had something similar, as I find the frames per second a little low for my hardware.

It's an astounding Project that will bring XP12 visuals in total integration like never before, with our Aerowinx PSX cockpits. It's good to follow it, specially if you're one of the lucky owners of Aerowinx PSX 🙂 Project PSXPL (aerowinx.com)

  15. Real 737 pilot praises X-Plane flight model @5:45 "Those of you who are using X-Plane 12 and have flown the Zibo737, but also have flown general aviation aircraft in X-Plane 12, will surely be familiar with the differences and will just be aware that in X-Plane 12 everything feels more authentic."

  16. All of my cockpits were extremely blurry because when the sim was installed, it defaulted my monitor to an 80 degree field of view. I run at 1920 x 1080 and set my field of view on the graphics screen in X-plane to 65 degrees and all is well again! Especially after hitting Shift-9. Adjusting no graphics setting with the sliders in X-plane 12 or making changes to nvidia control panel settings would fix the blurries. Hope this helps!!

I know this might sound like an odd question, but I like realism and I don't like how XP puts streetlights on every single road. I'm flying over the Kansas/Missouri border right now and I know for a fact that the vast majority of the roads in this area are country roads with no lights, save for the odd security light at the end of a driveway or something. There should only be a few lights here and there over people's properties, and only the real major roads, like Interstates, should have lights (and even those typically are only lit in the vicinity of a city. However, in XP11, almost every road is lit up with streetlights making a brilliant gridwork across the land that …

Hi Everybody, Good thing I have multiple computers to update. I've found that one of my three visuals didn't need any update first time I tried to update, second time it took 58GB, center computer found the update and took it just fine, right visual only needed 10MB. Ran these installs again and they look to be updating correctly. NOTE: I took the scenery update in all four of my computers last go around, so I didn't miss the scenery update. Also Note: The installer still shows as beta. You may want to double check your updates from L/R.

I recently modified my Saitek Proflight yoke using the dead zone fix as shown on YouTube. It works great on P3d but in X Plane 11 the controls don't move. X Plane recognizes the BU0836A and it calibrates ok but neither the yoke or controls move. Of course the physical yoke moves, just not in the sim. All the buttons on the yoke work ok and nothing changed there. Not sure what to do to get things working. Would appreciate any help. Jim

fairly interesting topic on its own, so lets not murder another one. TBH, I make no claims to really having a clue about anything over a few thousand feet or a few hundred knots. This tomcat stuff is completely new to me, only time I ever put any time on a fast jet before now on a modern rig is Ace Combat 7 and those you get in the Battlefield series (and only then when someone stole my heli and I had to go sneak into the enemy spawn point to take theirs) Here's what I think I know True mach - varies only with temperature Indicated airspeed - measured by the pitot tubes, not accurate in many ways, but what matters when in comes to top speed, helis …
