I'm pretty new to X plane and Avsim and I think my scenery order is incorrect. Would someone be willing to look at this and tell me what's wrong? Thank you in advance. It seems there may have been some minor tweaking done to the XP12 weather engine and clouds (not announced in the updates?) but something has changed. Accuracy pretty spot on for winds, cloud and coverage etc. Cloud shapes and images seem to also have picked up. I have done 3 flights, same aircraft same time depature and same flight plan which is from Isafadjor to Reykyavik in the Piper Aerostar700P. Now a confession I have not completed any flight for reasons of having crashed in the Reykyavik area (1 Ran out of Fuel 2 Loss of control in severe turbulence on descent 3 Severe icing leading to stall and spin at 9 nm). I have just installed the littlenavmap as in the instructions onto my windows 11 desktop. When i locate the startup icon and click it, I get a box pop up saying 'Search for app in the store'. If I click yes nothing is found. If no it just goes back and will not open. I am not that clued up on Pc's but have a very basic knowledge of folders etc. I think I have done everything correctly. I am installing with a pc with i9 processor and 4090 graphics card with windows 11. Any help would be appreciated to get it up and running! Many thanks, Ged

Hi, can anyone guide me on how to use streamdeck to use as keyboard emulator to control views for x-camera? For example I have numeric keypad 7 for pilot view , keypad 9 for overhead and so on. I went to the stream deck options and saw numeric keypad numbers but assigning them to the keys didn’t work, I must be missing something. thanks for any help

Apparently there's a scenery recut in this one but there's an issue w/ the updater. If you're not using Steam, have to run the installer/updater from the command line. Lately I have been experiencing multiple crashes using the XPRealistic plugin. Unfortunately, the way that everything works today in XP, a plug-in crash == a sim crash. Considering that I also have some Apps like FsEconomy or Xpliot running externally, I believe it should be possible to have those advanced plugins as external executables that communicate with the sim. On MSFS the similar FSRealistic runs outside of the sim and I think this is a much better approach. Is it technically possible to have plugins injecting camera effects and sounds to run externally in XP12?

When I initially installed XP12 i selected only North America to install. How do we install more of the world scenery that comes with XP12? Thanks.

Since this has been discusses in various topics here, I thought I'd make one dedicated for it. Myself and many others have been reporting poor performance with XP12. So I thought I'd investigate this issue. I installed a vanilla copy of XP12 and loaded up the default 737 at LOWI. Graphics settings and FPS figures are as follows: - texture quality and SSAO to max - FSR off - AA to FXAA - Anisotropic filtering to 4x - cloud quality to medium - shadow quality to medium - rendering distance and w.o and vegetation density to high - 3D vegetation enabled, parked aircraft disabled FPS was around 40. XP12 doesn't support Intel Arc and there is a hint from a contractor that it may never be supported. Anyone here have more insight into what the functionality/features are missing in Intel Arc Vulkan drivers? I am not very happy with current AMD/Nvidia duopoly jacking up prices beyond imagination. I been watching Arc development and performance has been constantly increasing with driver update for many of the DirectX games. I can't find much info on Vulkan progress. LR is already struggling with AMD GPU so I can totally understand them not wanting to take a 3rd GPU. It sucks for consumer.

When I set VR mode in the XP12 demo I see the black table but nothing on it so I have no user interface and can't use it. I have a HP Reverb G2 on a Windows 11 system

I am running the X-Plane 11 version of Carenado's PA31 Navajo. I have successfully completed sevral shorter flights, so tried a longer flight of just over 4 hours (Oxford, UK, EGTK, to Figari, Sud-Corse, France, LFKF. Note that I use kgs for fuel quantity to accommodate my flight panning app. I have just lost the right engine due to NO AUTO SWITCH TO RIGHT WING TANK #4 after the fuel tank 2 ran dry. As the Fuel Control Panel does not appear to have any available functionality this means the fuel in tanks 3 and 4 is unusable. I have installed XP11 on a new system. I made a backup of my previous installation. In that backup under custom scenery I have a lot of entries for libraries airports and ortho4xp scenery. Could it be so simple as to copy those entries into my new installation ?

My controller is calibrated, all controls work perfect during calibration (throttle, prop, mixture and trim wheel (all analog axis). I bind throttle, prop, mixture and trim but when I load up a plane all work but the trim wheel. When I am in settings/joysticks I can see the bar moving when I rotate the trim wheel, it is set to elevator trim but in the plane it does not work. Ideas how to resolve this? Thanks!

I just downloaded True Earth Washington and it's very nice as the scenery is awesome and there are lots of planes and vehicles at the Seatac Airport but there are no buildings on the airport property. Don't know what to do.

Absolutely stunned what LR have done with XP12 in the last couple of updates. Steady 100-110fps with Autoortho + X-WORLD + Realtime weather. Clouds look really good too. The future is bright. 12900K + 3090 (underclocked).

It was only a small, 25 MB patch but my XP12 installation upgraded to 12.02r1 today. Update was so quick I didn't get a chance to see what files were touched and the release notes haven't been posted just yet. Loaded up the Aerobask DA50RG at my home airport (CYKF) and everything seemed fine though.

Now when I start XP11 I get a message saying Be advised Error reading joystick configuration (.joy) file Resources /joystick configs/Xbox 360 wired controller windows.joy and then a list over unknown buttons But I have no such xbox wired controller. I have not made any changes to any config files regarding joysticks

I've seen a few posts around from people claiming they can't get good anti aliasing. I'm not doubting their word, but I thought I would post a series of screenshots with the corresponding settings, to be used as reference. It's obvious the AA and FSR needs a little work. Ben Supnik has acknowledged this and work has started in this area. But when I see images posted that show no Anti Aliasing, as in my very first link in this post, and someone else claims AA is set to full and they get the same look, I have many questions about the setup or the render settings.
