I'm pretty new to X plane and Avsim and  I think my scenery order is incorrect. Would someone be willing to look at this and tell me what's wrong?

Yeah they are all over the place. lol

First you need to get all airports and put those at the top. That includes your landmark scenery should come next just below your airports

Then Libraries should next those may have labels like Orbxlibs, BH Library etc. No matter library should stay in the middle together.

Then all Orthos and mesh should be below the libraries.

This is sort of what you have base on the list you are showing here.  

The oder should be

Airports 

Regions

Libraries

Photo Scenery Orthros

Mesh's like HD mesh etc  

 

If you still are not sure get xOrganizers and it arrange for you and maintain the them even if install new scenery. The best thing is to understand the order of how they should be arrange. xOrganizer is a great tools but my not get everything right if the developer of the scenery does not follow certain rules.

Buy XOrganizer and your scenery_packs.ini is sorted into the correct order just by opening and closing the app 😉 

Plenty of help if you get stuck, here and on the official forum.

I redid everything but my Orbx TE Washington files are in the scenery pack but not the .ini. file

see this video. It an order version or xOrganizer the methods still apply, plus he will explain the scenery order.

 

I can highly recommend XOrganiser, its not expensive and it works as advertised a must have little addon. Not only sorts out the scenery ordering and layering correctly but alerts you to scenery that has missing files or libraries etc and needs fixing. It is quick and effective. I use it everytime I do anything with the scenery, especially taking out stuff that is now incorporated in XP via the Gateway

such an essential feature should be part of the x-plane platform, users should not have to pay for that. it's not luxury for a few, it's essential for every user.
