i had to pull out my joystick because i ran out of USB slots :lol: is this why? i will buy a USB HUB later or tomorrow.

The install kept giving me errors, it drove me nuts. The install on the CD was actually better than the download on their site. I had 2 errors with the cd install but had over 20 errors with the dl version. I kept pressing "continue" instead of "cancel" and it went ok. I love the sim but the install drove me insane.

I have 2 applications for Flightplanning that are very good - Fsbuild and FSC (I am a Microsoft FS user from many years moving across to X-plane because of my disgust with Microsoft and its treatment of FS and its market place) . Can I use these with x-plane and if so what is the process. Peter Rowan

Appear to have lost the use of keys in XP10 - can program joystick(X52) but cannot program keyboard ?? Thanks for any ideas. Denis

Question is... While v10 does not get stable, and most add-ons still get released for v9, and also given that apparently (as I was told) 9.70 was a great release, I wonder what might be the advantages of having it? What are the main differences between the two, given FD, World/Scenery coverage and Weather? I know it can still be bought by a marginal value....

I've finally taken the plunge and purchased X-Plane 10 the other day. I decided to get it off Ebay from somewhere local in Australia as I didn't want to wait 3 weeks for it to arrive from the US. I installed the entire global scenery last night which took about an hour then fired up the default Baron 58 and took it for a spin around KLAX at night time. I have to say that the night scenery looks very impressive particularly the city lights below. I'll soon be looking at getting the following payware aircraft. -Boeing 777 -CRJ-200 -Boeing 787 - Does anyone have any thoughts on this one? From what I've seen it looks pretty good for the price but not sure how in-dep…

So does any of you know if and how you can do that? I don't like having blank airports in X-Plane, without any aiport bulidings. I don't have X-plane 10 yet either, but do you know if there's any program I will need? And I'm not a computer profesional either, so I'll probaly need lots of help. Thanks! Adam

"NO ACTIVATION" and "Serial key" headaches on payware scenery :drinks: I bought some US Airports and it was just drag n drop into the custom scenery folders. I haven't bought any European Aerosoft payware yet, do they still have Activations/Serial keys?

On an XP10 video I made and posted on youtube a while back, someone comented that I could hide the recorder timeline by pressing the space bar. I tried this, but it does not for for me. Does anyone know if there is a way to hide it when playing back a replay? Rob

I am considering this buy, but I am not sure if I am willing to take the FPS hit. Does anyone have a comparison to maybe Heinz's Boeing 787 or one of the stock X-Plane 10 planes? I found the stock 747 to be a FPS eater, the 787 does way better.

I am a new user of X-Plane and an aerospace engineer in real life. I was initially disappointed in X-Plane but was convinced that payware aircraft fly much better than the horrible default models. I recently bought the CRJ-200 and although the plane flies much better than the default aircraft, it's pitch stability is very wrong/unrealistic on my computer. I was hoping some of you can perform this flight test just so that i can eliminate hardware issues, or issues with my operating system/install. I have now ordered X-Plane 10 but have a number of issues - I have registered on the x-plane forum on xplane-org but cannot create new posts for some reason despite a succesful acknowleded registration and acknowledged confirmation hence the post here - have sent messages to the administrators and moderators but no one has yet bothered to reply or even acknowledge my requests. I was told 10 months ago in a private email and heard rumours that REX for Xplane10 is being made. Since their was an XP9 version i guess soon we will find out about the new version for 10. XPlane + REX = :yahoo:

It looks like OSM is really starting to get filled in now. A few months ago, The U.S. was pretty much empty, save for the Boston area. Other than that, only a few clusters of buildings dotted major cities here and there. Just now, I decided to download data and run through OSM2XP to fill in the states I would fly over for a KORD to KJFK flight and got quite the surprise. Hello all, I am the guy behind UrbanMAXX. I am currently working on another relese called UrbanMaxx Extreme. This new release covers some issues that regular UM has, like tiling textures. All UM does is replace the urban textures in X-Plane to help populate the environment. Although not as promising as what I have seen with using Google Warehouse models, it does have a very positive effect in XPX and for users with lower hardware specifications it doesnt hurt framerates. Morning, I've just seen that Chip has reviewed my latest Aberdeen Dyce scenery (EDPD). This screenshot took my attention: http://xsimreviews.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/729-Aber-1.jpg The OSM2XP buildings here are mid-rise tower blocks. However on my computer they are rendered as low rise office buildings as they should be. Why is this? I've checked the time & date stamps of the files in the scenery folder against those in the zip file and they are the same. Surely everyone else should see the same view that I'm seeing?

I've searched the net, not deeply, trying to find any material regarding the way to design a plugin for injecting weather parameters into X-Plane10. Any ideas? Was there a weather injector for X-Plane9 ? This doesn't mean I'm not satisfied with the progress in weather simulation, particularly when RW Weather is used, which has just suffered an important update with RC1, but I would be interested in finding a little bit more about how one can "mess" around with X-Plane10 internals in this particular subject - Weather... I've seen many reviews about x-plane 10. Some reviews are positive and some are negative. They don't help so much. It's so hard for me to decide if I should buy x-plane 10. So, do you guys think I should get it? Thanks very much! Oh, and I currently use FSX.
