While I am dealing with a Win7-64 reinstall, actually completed today, I had noticed before this, after I updated to Beta 9, the CH yoke i use became extremely response, in fact all my controls became extremely responsive, reacting on a 1:1 basis and thereby nearly always flying extremely erratically. I am debating about re-installing XPX and leaving it at 10.5rc1, but from reading other threads, beta 9 doesn't seem to be that bad. What am I missing. I do calibrate the HW, but to no avail. Also, a related qn. When I click on the Calibrate joysticks, am I supposed to get the "Now wiggle all connected joysticks" etc dialog or not. Coz nothing happens now.

On a whim I was comparing the night sky in X-Plane 10 to a sky map (Aciqra2,2,1), and was really amazed at the accuracy of the night sky in the sim. I'm in Oklahoma City, the time 0451GMT and I could pick out the constellation Capricorn. For deep space objects I could easily pick out M7 to the west and the star Fomalhaut, Alnair, to the south east of me. Back to the west,, I could pick out the Corona Australis and in Sagittarius, the Star Nunki. The only thing missing is the moon, which should have been above and just to the east of Nunki. Hi all. I've noticed a weird stutter recently. It's rhythmic, seeming to hit at one second intervals. Here's a video. You can see it as the islands pass below. At the same time, my ASI bounces in time with it, going up 10 kts or so, then back to my set speed. Magical bouncing ASI bug Fraps is registering around 45 FPS at the time. Anyone ever experienced this before? I'm using 10.10b9. If someone else is using the same beta and has the Heinz Dreamliner, could you check it out and see if you experience the same thing? I want to try to rule out the plane and/or the beta version if possible. Thanks!

Initially, long ago, X-Plane was just a fixed wing aircraft simulator, then, one day, as some of you may well recall, Austin announced X-Rotor, but that version never really came to live... Instead we got a new version of the sim including fixed as well as rotary wing aircraft. Today's versions of x-plane include much more aircraft/airship types, such as gliders, ligher than air, orbital vehicles, spaceships... A few X-Plane10 users wrote about the very weird and irritating effect of strong wind shear and turbulence when entering clouds, specially if flying a small aircraft. I had never experienced it until last night, when I was playing around with the default 747. I used RW weather, which gave me a broken cloud layer around 6000'. When the 744 entered it all of a sudden the ASI on the FPD was allover the place, the airctaft was bouncing considerably, even being heavy.... I opened the weather menu to check the winds and turbulence, but the reported values were a faint 5knot wind with not turbulence or shear... Hi guys, I am new to xplane...spend most of my time using fsx and prepar3d. am I doing something wrong or is it just how xplane is...the sunlight doesn't seem right when compare with fsx and prepar3d! its like there is a very light mist over the simulation all the time and the sunlight is not as good.

Today I have something new for X-Plane 10. A scenery, which tries to improve the look of the less “populated” areas of the default (or HD Mesh) Global Scenery, namely the agricultural areas, grasslands and pastures (the place, which can be wast and empty … especially in regions like the US Mid West etc.). This new scenery will add random tree lines along many-many roads and some – hopefully – well placed farms in the landscape (at least in the continental USA and Europe). Do you think we will see four seasons anytime soon in XPX, like maybe in 10.20? I was not a player in the XP9 arena, but was there ever suppose to be seasons in it also? I'm really enjoying XPX regaurdless, but seeing something new would be great on the eyes. :p0502:

So far, I really like it. For $8, its was worth it. There are some issues. Its not recomemded for HDR (which I never cared for anyhow), but if you do, you should wait until he can make it work well with HDR. Ive only just started playing with the different combinations of clouds and sky colors, Some were too dark for my taste but I did like the pastel colored sky. Anyhow, it sort of does what Shade did for FSX. everything has a warmer feel to it, which I like. Some may not, its all a matter of taste I suppose. I know it's been out awhile now but I just download the demo again ( first time I downloaded back when it came out for some reason it would not work right) and did a few quick flights out of ksea and this is what I thought of it... I loved it!!! Did not take me long to setup my yoke, rudders and quad... got my track ir working but it needs some fiddling with fine tune. Flying at night was stunning, for the first time in flight sim it really looked like night time. I had the settings up pretty high and had HDR on and the performance was good on my machine. The last week contributed even more to my enthusiasm with X-Plane10. I bought my first add-on, from X-Aviation, also downloaded GMap, which I already use with MS FLIGHT. I have tested several aspects of the simulator, using not only the default aircraft, which in beta8 feel better (baron58 and C90), but also a few freeware add-ons picked at x-plane.org. While I do not yet have rudder, I plan to get one since most of my preferred models in x-palen8 and 9 were helicopters and indeed, X-Plane undoubtedly shines over the alternatives in this field. My C172, the default after all with a "tweaked" rolling friction coef for the main gear performs now beautifully under stron crosswinds, way above the operational limits of the real airplane :-) Try it - CONFIGURE!!!.... It's all there, I start to believe ;-) P.S.: Thanks GoranM :-)

I have blender 2.63 and am wondering...is planemaker in Xplane 10 compatible with blender 2.63? (I followed a video series on you tube that says it is not working properly with this version of blender)

Looks good, I noticed that the knife cut tool has been reworked, and will save some work from what we had previous release. No doubt there is lots more hidden in places I haven't looked or don't know about.

With the help and advice of MDMax (thanks again!), I just finished downloading and installing the entire country of France as Satellite scenery along with OSM data and Roads. Im very happy with the result. My computer has been downloading this stuff since last Sunday and my X-Plane 10 directory is now a whopping 369 GB (lol). I think it was 200GB before. Im usually not a big fan of satellite scenery, but these files are very hi res. There is a lower res version available too. You can get it here: http://zonephoto.x-p...france16_FR.php. Hi, Just installed XP 10 but noticed on taxiing the plane keeps moving to the left. Any help?

I've been considering lately whether to take the plunge and get XP10. I downloaded the demo and did a few test flights in the 747-400, Cesna and Beechcraft planes that come with it; I was fairly impressed with the performance particularly how smooth they felt. I currently use FSX and have invested a fair amount of time in payware add-ons (PMDG NGX, 747, Level-D 767, Concorde X, AS2012) as well as hardware over the past year to make it all run nicely so I'm not looking to make a full switch just yet. The default 747 in XP10 looks fairly basic but still flies a lot nicer that the default FSX 747. Are there many payware or freeware add-ons that are on a similar level of …

I'm using the same profile for FSX, "Seth - Flight" but it doesn't work great for XP... in fact I think I'm missing a few degrees of freedom... how many does XP support and is there a freeware plugin I need?

Hello all, Don't know if I am doing something wrong so I thought I'd check with you guys before making a bug report. I decided to try out the default 747/400 in X-plane 10.10b8. Two issues. First is cabin pressure. Or rather lack thereof causing everyone to suffocate. No matter what I do I can't seem to fix this (not that there are that many knobs to turn that could even hope to change this issue...). Second. Pitch oscillations. I set my autopilot to 18000 feet. It climbed up to this level. What began as a small +/- 100 fpm oscillations quickly turned into a +/- 6000 fpm roller coaster. Needless to say my flight attendants quickly ran out of barf bags. Hi, Yesterday I bought X-Plane 10 and I started to install it. Today I finished the installation with the Download of Updated. The Installation window showed me that I have sucessfully installed X-Plane 10, however as I pressed "Start X-Plane 10 now" nothing happened. So I closed the installer, went to my desktop, however there wasn't a folder named X-Plane 10. The only thing I was able to find is the installation log for X-Plane 10. I can see all the data on my HDD, however I nor the windows search can find the X-Plane.exe I don't know what went wrong, but I would be glad, if I don't have to install the whole thing again. So is there something I can do instead of …

I was considering X-Plane 10 but saw several post about updating xpx to 64 bit. Will it not run on a 64 bit machine? Thanks for any reply.
