I believe this comes from previous versions of X-Plane, but I am not sure... When an aircraft is equipped with jet turbine/turbofan, and it that turbine fails / is stopped in flight, we can see N2 maintaining some windmilling rotations, very reasonable, but N1 decays dramatically. In RL N1, which also measures the fan speed, should windmill and, show values that depend on the altitude and speed of the aircraft but can allow for an inflight restart, provided there aren't any serious damages... Has N1 ever functioned properly on previous versions? Is this a known bug?

I downloaded the XP10 demo; what's the deal with the hat switch, and why does it not work as it does in MSFS? I went to the settings and the only relevent info I could find is where I can set a "look left" or "look right" using the hat switch positions. When I use it that way, it leaves the VC view and goes back to the default 2D panel. Is it possible to setup the hat switch to work as it should in a VC?

Flight Planner... I was about to install Plan-G v3, but went to it's forum and saw some reports of problems running it with x-plane10.10. Any suggetsions? I am still using FSBUILD2.4, but would like to have something more GA-oriented/VFR...

Hello, I am really after some advice and help if possible, I am a complete and utter flight sim noob and I mean noob, I played FA18 interceptor on my commodore Amiga around 28 years ago, then around a year ago I purchased xplane on my iPad, I loved the game but longed for a better version, so around a week ago I purchased xplane 10 and a Saitek x52 controller. I tried it out and oh my god is it complicated, just setting up the joystick has completely thrown me, I have managed to get a Plane in the air once lol (I told you I was useless) but a lot of the time the plan goes to the right, it never goes straight own the runway. There's RealityXP Garmin GNS530 for X-Plane9, probably working with X-Plane10 too (?), but apart from that one, and from UFMC, which is an FMC-type solution not fitting very well on a GA :-), are there any worth the try alternatives? Also, are any of you using the new NavDataPro to update X-plane10's navigation/gps database? Tanks for any suggestions / feedback ;-)

Hi all! In the recent weeks I have seen a lot of criticism towards X-Plane 10 coming mostly from people who use FSX and find that XP10 lacks some features they have grown used to. Therefore I think it would be good to compile a list of features that you think should be implemented in the future. If you have something you would like to see in XP10, then please write here. Hi all, This post is directed to our fellow simmers that have experienced the same problem as myself and may have got a solution for it (I also did send an e-mail to X-Aviation through their web page). I cannot enter my password in the validation window of X-Aviation's KILM scenery. I tried the setup program on another computer running the same version of Win7 64b but with no X-Plane installation and on that second computer the validation screen shows an entry for my e-mail address and below it another entry for my password. Is there a way to solve this, as I am not going to install X-Plane on the other computer. Thanks, Jean-Jacques Struyf

i guess i could but will it run also since there are no restrictions like serial# activation for the sim. If yes, i will go buy a 64gb Drive. I have alot of 32gb sticks but they're all full of fs9/fsx/p3d/xp10 payware :lol:

Very nice plane! I just got mine already. I'ts kind of a more than a lite product, not so deep as the CRJ but for $24.95 in these days is well priced. I recommend it.

There are a few freeware available PERLS out there. One, that used to be payware but was early this year made available by the author for free is the IL-14. You can get it from the original site here IL-14 by Felis (scroll down on that page...) Superb model and detail. Give it a try ;-) Runs in X-Plane10 too!

I bop back and forth on X-plane10; attracted and repelled, alternately. The scenery is certainly an attraction, and most especially at night. In theory, the features alone should be a nearly irresistable draw, but in practice its not so simple. No, not a scenery offer, I'm afraid, nor an easy ride, but rather, a challenge. With Nadine, that blonde Tropical Storm, approaching the Azores we got some really nasty weather around there. Horta is, at this time (07:00 UTC) being hit by strong gusting winds and precipitation. A view of SkyVector displaying the METAR: and... the x737-800 taking off from LPHR RW 10 already airborne... Flying under such conditions was not only possible, although the airport is closed right now due to the bad weather, but it was specially gratifying for showing how much better X-Plane10 RC2 renders this kind of nasty weather :-)
