"NIGHT TIME FLIGHTS" in XP10 are freaking, fracking SPECTACULAR! :good: with HDR on or off. XP10 is really improving and with payware planes that look incredible inside/out. We are in for a treat in 2013 and beyond, that is if we survive past Dec 21  I think 10.20 will go final before Christmas as a gift by Austin and the DEVS

I am about to add another 8GB of ram to my system, for a total of 16. I know it wont make any difference for 32bit apps, but now that XP is moving to a 64bit version, will I see any difference? Even if I don't, its no big deal, ram is cheap these days and it will give me a chance to blow the dust out of my computer while I do it. Just curious as to what I might expect, if anything? Rob

Hi everyone I am a Linux user and am thinking about getting back into XP after a long hiatus . I used to actually be a Linux support contact for XP on version 7, 8, and 9. Anyway, I have been wanting to get back into XP but having not used the software for a while, I was wondering what other Linux users use for their desktop environment and which offers the best performance. Currently, I use Kubuntu 12.04 and am quite happy with KDE - although, am becoming impressed with Unity. Is KDE a good environment for XP or would there be a better DE to try? A little about my system: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Processor Linux 3.2.0-34-generic #53-Ubuntu SMP Thu…

Hello, I come from Flight Simulator, and have iniciated myself in XPlane 10 few days ago. I find it a challenge, and am sure I am going to find coming dificulties. One of the first is that Beechcraft planes do roll themselfes to the left; it does happen also with Cessna 172. At the moment, I have only flown with these three aircrafts. Would anybody know the cause? Thanks XPlane 10 in Windows 7 Pro, Core 2 duo 2,63 GHz, nVidia Geforce GTX 550i 1 GB

Guys, back last winter I was messing with this and had the core of Toronto looking pretty good as far as sky scrappers go. Now when I try to create a scenery from fresh OSM data I can't get any "tall" buildings. Using osm2xp 2.0.2. I notice there is a setting under xp10 options for "exclude buildings which largest wall is over "x" meters" and the largest value is 100m, which is way too low. Some buildings in Toronto are 3x that height. I'm sure I had this working before in this version, can't seem to get it to work now. Any ideas?

Just picked this up at the sale price. Running in beta 7 64 bit there are no engine sounds at all. The click spots for the 2d panels don't seem to work either. Is anyone else having the same issue? I have removed gizmo from the plugins folder.

Hi, I’m having big trouble with the autopilot of the stock C172. Impossible to make an ILS approach or maintain altitude. Does anyone notice and confirm that? Running XP 10.20 beta 7 (same behaviour with 32 or 64 bits) I tested the same aircraft with XP 10.11 and the AP is Ok. So it must be a bug introduced somewhere in between... Thanks

Hi All, I am an avid FSX user and like the PMDG NGX best. But I am going to give X-Plane another try (tried it a long time ago). I am seeking advise regarding which might be the best GA twin, best turbo prop, and best shot at getting something close to the NGX. Also any scenery and airport improvements. Thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I don't see it if it has. Is there any way to view the exterior of the aircraft while in flight or on the ground for that matter? There only appears to be a "chase" mode and a "fly by" mode. I would like to look around the aircraft (checking lights, etc.) while flying. All I can do currently is to see the back of the aircraft and then turn from that point - losing sight of the aircraft. Thanks in advance. John

Hi guys. Once again I begin to feel the urge to upgrade my computer. I know that nvidia seems to be working better with fsx. But nowadays I consider xpx my primary sim, and I'm not sure that this edge exists on that platform...? Any thoughts? I know this probably belongs in the hw-forum but I don't know how many of my fellow x-planers lurk in that part of avsim... :-D Skickat från min GT-I9300 via Tapatalk 2

Hello folks, I think, the default red lines on ND are really, making me feel uncomfortable. Plus I fly Airbus planes a lot. So, is there a chance to change the red lines to other colors, such as green? Thanks. Cai

Can someone direct me to where I can find more information about this product (what area is covered etc). I tried the x-plane home website but I don't see anything that discusses this program, specifically. Thanks.

It has been a very long time since I booted up xplane, with a new baby boy and all I have had no time. Lately though I found some time (between naps) to start up again. I decided to take the Columbia 400 up and for about 2 hours a tried really hard to find a way to enter a GPS coordinate. Am I just not the brightest tool in the crayon box or is there no GPS integrated into the g1000 in this model? All and all it is an absolutely beautiful aircraft.

I have not been able to load up X-Plane for the past 6 months because I've been busy with family, starting a new side business, and starting a new job. I ran the updater yesterday and pulled down the latest beta which includes the 64-bit build. The sim took FOREVER to load. When it finally loaded, it did not work right. None of my controls worked (despite being able to set and test all of the axis in the hardware & equpment screen, and the camera is forever stuck outside and BEHIND my plane. I can't move the camera and none of the camera modes seem to work. I can't get the 3D cockpit view on ANY plane. Basically the sim simply doesn't work. I tried shutting th…

So I keep wanting to try Linux. It seems to be gaining speed slowly and with Win 8 being more geared towards tablets, Linux keeps calling my name. I'm using Win 8 now, and so far happy with it for the most part, but I'm thinking of installing a 4th drive on my system to use just for Linux testing and may, down the road, switch to it if I'm happy and comfortable with it. My question is, what addons for X-plane don't work in Linux? Also, un-related to X-plane, is there any video editing software for Linux? Rob

By redpiper1 again. You really should listen to these things through a great sound system hooked to your machine.... or with nice headphones with a great sound-card. Total chill-out. I also notice the converted San Maarten scenery no longer seems to have the floating buildings. Very cool. http://youtu.be/xr3lTldaRIk
