UPDATE I posted this same topic over at X-plane.org and instead of asking sales to help me with this issue he issued a warning and deleted my thread and then banned me when in my response via private message I treatened to go to my bank for a refund. I ordered x-plane 10 as a X-mas gift for a friend of mine from their store and I am really upset at this point over the customer service. I ordered it on the 11th and I live in the eastern United states 20 miles from a major city I have no clue why I have not received it yet since I was never given a tracking number or even told WHAT company it shipped with. BTW two emails regarding this was igno…

Hi! I happen to own two sets of controls. I have the X52 joystick and the Saitek yoke with pedals (and an extra throttle quadrant) . If I alternate between these two, will I mess up my control settings, or is it possible for xpx to recognize and keep separate settings for multiple controls? Skickat från min GT-I9300 via Tapatalk 2

I'm trying to simulate an aircraft's electrical system from scratch in a plugin. I'm struggling to get my head round the physical laws. As far as I can work out, these two rules both apply and form a circular argument: 1 - the amount of current consumed by the load (landing lights, radios, the tea urn etc) depends on the supply voltage. 2 - the supply voltage (from a battery) depends on the current drawn by the load. Is the best way to just iterate those steps a couple of times? Perhaps to begin with the previous frame's current/voltage, get a new current from the load model using the old voltage, then a new voltage from the supply model using the new current?

I think it may be useful for members of the X-Plane community to write to Flight Simulator X developers to cross-over their products to XPlane. MegaSceneryEarth is currently expanding their product line for Flight Simulator X. I would like to be able to use their scenery so I wrote to them and asked if they would produce X-Plane scenery. The answer was after they finish the whole USA, they would make X-Plane compatible scenery. To me that is good news because I like photoscenery. You can write your support wishes to: http://www.megascene...&mode=contactus Happy New Year!

Galls & Guys, further to some of the posts where I previously mentioned the notorious update to the Real World Weather in RC2 and RC3, making the translation of METAR strings into X-Plane10 internal weather rather plausible, I should add that, after having run various tests with custom set weather, at various turbulence levels, it is evident that LR retouched the turbulence and made it very acceptable, at least in my eyes :-) I have raised it to level 5, and using a good add-on GA, like X-Aviation's Sundowner, or the Carenado Seneca, as well as the default Baron58 an C-90, it looks / feels just right :-) Thumbs Up! Try it!

I was pretty excited when I saw the Carenado sale and thought I might treat myself to my first X-Plane payware aircraft until I saw that the only ones on sale seem to be developed for X-Plane 9 with a patch promised for full compatibility with X-Plane 10. For some of these aircraft, the patches were promised quite some time ago but from what I can see, don't appear to have materialised. From the aircraft on sale price, is there any that are fully compatible with X-plane 10? It would be nice if they offered at least one X-Plane 10 aircraft with some discount. Thanks for your help.

I am not sure if everyone noticed - but the latest beta made realistic helicopter operation on rooftops possible again. All the multistory buildings are now "solid" - that means you can crash into them, but also land on the rooftops! There are even some very nicely done rooftop heliports in the default scenery now - the pic´s below show one at the southern tip of Manhattan. Merry Christmas everyone, Jan

redpiper1 Strikes again! Seems he has been using this scenery a lot recently, so the "Princess" Juliana is being put away for a while after a final fond farewell.

I noticed a bit of confusion about end user agreements and the rights of the user. So I'll try to clear it up a bit. When you buy an add-on from a developer or publisher, you do not "own" the add on. What you have actually paid for is a license to run the add-on on your computer with the developer being obliged to offer support should there be any issues. If you, as the end user, choose to make any modifications to an add-on, without informing or obtaining consent from the developer, you are voiding any support you are entitled to.

I have been trying to use airports in x-plane 10 but with no success. I downloaded the RAF Marham one but when using that all I got was a runway in the middle of nothing but sea. I have just tried EGCC Manchester and when trying to use that the application just closes down on me after telling me it can't find a facade of some sort. I had downloaded the file EGCC Manchester International_v2F.zip and opened it to find a file - EGCC Manchester International_v2F inside. I copied this into the custom scenery folder of X-Plane 10 and tried to run it using that airport but as explained above the whole application just shut down on me. When copying it to the custo…

I have read rants here regarding Betas and didn't want to get into the fray, so I am starting this - hoping that it does not develop into a mud-slinging post. Beta is Beta.... It is an attempt to improve a product and is posted with warnings regarding incompatibilities. I appreciate the ability to see what is being done as the process develops. Other than the Basler BT-67 development by a dedicated bunch of guys in the FSX forum, I have never really seen this in any other simulator. That said, I have noticed one thing that is unexpected in several recent Betas and is not really worth (I think) bothering a bunch of busy guys. When turning on Landing Lights for t…

Seems as though the settings will need to be considered again to find the right balance. I like the new autogen and tiles usage to gradually give you 3D objects, but also starting to move away from the overly green squares in developed areas. The X-Plane developer blog provides some really good insight - http://developer.x-plane.com/

Is there a TileProxy equivalent for X-Plane? Can we display photoreal ground textures via sites like Bing Maps on X-Plane just as we can on FSX with TileProxy? BTW, what's the highest ground texture resolution on X-Plane? Thanks... - Sent from my rooted, Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus LTE smartphone via Tapatalk because haters gonna hate.

I think its great when a developer takes the time to make a video showing the features of a model as well as the proper way to use it. Rob
