Hi everyone, I was looking at SSG Groups Embraer E-190LR and also the 170 as the Org Store offers a package deal for both. Does anyone have either one and what is your opinion of them? I looked at the screen shots and I'm not 100% sure how they graphically stand up to other add ons. I think they look just OK, but maybe the screens don't do them justice. Thanks for your input. Im really starting to enjoy this plane more and more. The enhancements made to it with the last several updates have made this plane equal to some of the best payware imo. However, I am having a problem with it in 64 bit only. The main glass displays are dark and I cant figure out why. This only happens in 64 bit. In 32 it works fine. Does the default Kingair use any plugins that are not yet 64 bit? or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance for any advice. Rob

Hi i am new on x-plane and i'd like to know if they are some good freeware addons (don't have money for payware, spent all my money on fsx ) my opinion about the game: the default sceneries are quiet poor, i have between 40 and 60 FPS but i go below 30 with clouds even 20, they are really killing my gpu (gtx 660) plus they don't look nice, there is no cumulus in the game ??? Water looks nice except at the horizon, it has exactly the same colour as the sky and it's soo weiird (i use the 64 bit version) it has potential, more than FSX but some things need to change i think.

I havent flown this one in XP until just the other day. In fact, I didnt even know it was there until I stumbled on it. I was pretty impressed with it. It looked and flew pretty good to me. I'm just wondering what everyones opinion is of it? When was this added? Rob

I've installed x-Plane 10.05 on my iMac, but only as a SECOND COPY since, apparently, the installer still thinks I've got the demo installed, even though I deleted it before starting the installation. I've used the full program a few times now but sometimes - not always! - when I start the program (I'm using the latest beta 64 bit version) the program appears to start the demo version (water at airport locations and joystick time-out warning). I'm sure there a simple answer to this, I just don't know what it is!

I have an aircraft file that displays the engine nacelles when looking left or right. Problem is, the views are not detailed and ruins the illusion of looking out the aircraft window. What program is used to change engine nacelle graphics detail? Planemaker? I want a crisper image to make the nacelles look more realistic.

At first, I thought this was just someone doing whacky stunts with the default 777, but it looks like it's the more realistically modeled payware 777!

I have tried the latest 64bit beta demo and these questions arise, I use the CH flight sim yoke and thus have one lever for throttle. If I fly a twin engine I want it to control both engines. How ? For now it seem that one lever can only control one engine. I have experienced this with cloud decks. When I reach the bottom everything goes whit outside until I reach the top of the cloud layer. Then is looks like the whole cloud layer is removed and replaced by scattered clouds at the top of the intended cloud layer. Sorry if the answer to this has already been posted - I checked the first several pages of posts, and a search came up empty. Is anyone running XPX 64-bit in a 3-monitor widescreen configuration? How about with nVidia 3D surround? Thanks for any input!

Good news: CRJ200 (JRollon) x737 (EADT) 727 (FlyJSim) A320NEO (JARDesign - beta, but working seamlessly) Jetstream J32 (ver. 1.0.3 for 64bit released today) It seems SASL plugins are 64bit ready and working, GIZMO is in beta and being reported working as well.

Hi Guys, I wonder if you could help out with a couple quick questions? (MAC User) 1) Can you "update" or "upgrade" the demo version to the full paid version, or would i need to uninstall and reinstall? 2) Can you pay for and download the full version rather than using the DVD method? Nothing special but this really grabbed me so I have to tell. I was just doing some work on an airport in Oregon and as I was looking around at the results in Xplane I happened to come to a halt close to a freeway. So I took a break from building the airport and watched the traffic on the freeway (quite heavy really for a Siberian winter) as I had my coffee. I saw a police car go past with its light flashing and as you would expect, travelling a good bit faster than all the other traffic. I thought that was pretty amazing. I've always overclocked my CPU, and never had an issue before, but just 2 weeks ago, I left my computer on overnight to defragment. When I got up, there was no video output to either monitor and when I rebooted, it would not even post to the bios. I noticed a light illuminated on the motherboard, which Said "CPU", so I figured it had to be something with that. When I removed it, there was a big brown burn mark on it and a burn mark on the motherboard socket that matched up with the CPU. Everything else seemed fine. This was a Sandy bridge 2600K. Does anyone else have clouds that look like this at night, it's terrible, 32 bit color is selected. Don't know what to call it, looks like bands of different colors. Had it with my Ati card, still have it with GTX670. See pc specs in sidebar, more than adequate to run XPX at very high settings, can't get rid of this banding in the clouds. FPS are great, just not what I see. I have tried the add on clouds out there, no difference. Second shot shows it better.

If you like seat of the pants low and slow GA type flying, just for fun, here is a link to a great little Piper Cub. The author makes no bones about his lack of experience in type, but this plane does fly great. Just don't expect to fly trans-continental with it. :-). Greetings fellow X-Planers, With the recent addition of X-Plane 10 North America to my flight sim system, I now have the urge to use other aircraft, scenery, etc. So I've tried to open an account at http://forums.x-plane.org/ where it appears as though lots of freeware exists. 6 days later I still await a validation email...have tried sending an email to moderating team...also sent something to some 'help' link. Nothing. Have checked my web mail for possible spam withholding....Nope. Have tried 6 times to "re-validate"....Nope. Have changed passwords just because...Nope. Any ideas out there? Is anyone able to see aircraft at night? Last night I was flying from BWI to GSO and never could see aircraft around me. I have five AI assigned in Aircraft & Situations and I know they were out there from TCAS. Maybe MSFS was overly realistic with beacon and strobe lights since this is my first use of XP10. Now on the ground while watching aircraft taxi and takeoff I do see beacon and stobe lights, but once airborne they quickly fade away. Doesn't take long to loose sight of them.

Can someone tell me which airports are modeled with buildings etc. In XPlane 10 . Not 3rd party but within the XPLane 10 product. I have the Global version. Thank You. Bill

Hi Guys, I bought XP10 early after release and got absolutely horrifically bad performance, which I was told was due to me using a ATI video card. Although I was told this ATI bug with XP10 was Laminar's highest priority, I felt disillusioned and lost interest in XP10, selling on my boxed DVD. Can anyone confirm whether the seriously poor performance of XP10 with ATI cards has now been addressed? I have a HD 5770 1GB if that matters. Many thanks for any thoughts.
