Hi- will the RXP GTN install and work correctly in the 172? Thought I would ask prior to buying. Thanks, Mark

I have created an install DVD from an iso and am about to press the button to be able to dual boot Ubuntu with Windows. The purpose is to get greatly increased performance running X-Plane. The first thing I have noticed is that I am unable to choose an external USB drive on which to install it? I have to install it on my Windows SSD drive which isn't ideal. I hope this isn't going to end in tears! Right, it's installed. How do I run X-Plane?

For those interested here is another medium size turboprop worth a look at. I'm curious to compare default vs 'usual' modded X plane 12 visuals before buying but don't know if mods work in the Xplane 12 demo?

I see that Nimbus is proposing to release a Boeing 707 for XPlane, in due course. Interesting and the reason why Shensee is not going to upgrade or make the 707 from the excellent 720B he has already made. I await this with interest but foreboding. I bought their BN2B some time ago - excellent in all aspects except the AI had a fixed sky pointer which they have never fixed since its release. Hope they get it right with the 707 pretty hard to fly IFR without a proper functioning AI.

Hello! How are you? Any solution or fix for this type of error in the scenery? One is the Casa Rosada helipad in Buenos Aires and the other helipad is in Pao De Acucar in Brazil and in many other places the helipad is usually always like this and it is unreal since in real life it is not like that at least in these two places I mentioned. Some months ago I took a punt on a payware jet that was purportedly XP12 functional. The model had significant issues with respect to the EFIS and NAV displays such as FD and attitude bars being misaligned, problems with the way the LR G1000 screens were integrated etc etc. I was not the only one and found numerous posts about the problems and others. The curious thing about this payware developer is that every single post has to be approved (by a Moderator maybe not sure) before it will be published. Several I made were published. Hi all- I've downloaded and installed the most recently updated RXP Enhancer version from xplane.to following the direction of Q8 pilot on you tube. Install went fine but the plugin does not appear in the Plugins drop down menu. Any ideas? My XP version is 12.1.1 Thanks, Mark

Hi all- Fresh install of XP12. Two questions only at this time. I see ORBX has lotsa XP11 sceneries/regions but none for XP12. Is there a way to shoehorn these in? Also, is everyone good with X-Camera? I went through their tutorial this morning and it looks good. Thought I would ask prior to buy. Cheers, Mark

Here I was, flying F16 down the West Australian Coast, looked up, and was at over 60FPS, clouds are delightful, and its only getting better.

With p3d i had 2 monitors, one showing virtual cockpit (move around with mouse) and the 2nd monitor (above) gave me a fixed, outside frontal view. when moving with mouse, i could look around in the virtual cockpit and the outside view remained fixed, as it should be. Now i switched to Xpl12, very nice,i love it, but i cannot set my 2nd monitor with fixed outside view, it moves around with the cockpit. Any advice how to reach the same behaviour as p3d views ?

There is now an unofficial xp12 upgrade for the Carenado F 50. Done by same who did the dch8. It's also allowed by carenado.

I have being flying this plane a bit now and is really nice, . Performance seems accurate, teh xp12 ver has the corretc txp12 engine spec. Haad to correct my self There are both 11 and 12 acf i deleted the 11 acf or it shows in xplane menu

FF seems to have set a new standard for airliner-addons in flightsims! This plane looks pretty awesome in its alpha-state. It looks like it will be the best simulated airliner for any sim so far. So thrilling to see this level of details.

So after flying Toliss A319 for couple of years (and really enjoying it), I wasn't able to fly a single flight in A Pilot's Life v2 for a 3 months, so I got fired by Aegean, haha. So, I got the 737NG license and accepted the job in Air Europa, that has fleet of 17 B737-800. To summarize, for some reason, I enjoy LevelUp rendition more, possibly and mostly because of the audio package. It sounds really really good. But if ZIBO (latest version for XP11) is more stable with LNAV and VNAV, and generally regarding navigation, I might go with it. Your opinions after testing both?

What is your favorite X Plane 11/12 Helicopter? This can be one that you enjoyed from XP11 and is coming soon to XP12. I am more interested in study level helicopters with the most detail. Payware is fine. So far for freeware I have found OH-58D Kiowa Warrior the best freeware for for XP12. Change my mind.

One of the reasons X-Plane (just as DCS World and IL-2 when I used those sims) is my go to platform for flight dynamics modeling is in the simulation of powerful prop aircraft with a tailwheel, like the DC-3 / C-47 which is one of my preferred fixed wing aircraft in simulation and in the real World...
