Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etc

This is a forum to discuss issues with Joysticks, pedals, yokes, other interface hardware like panels, etc.

  1. So randomly after a crash the elevator axis and engine one are now somehow linked. I'm using the Saitek pro flight yoke with the throttle attachment. I've double checked my joystick assignments and the elevator and and throttle are assigned to two different axis (Elevator to Y axis, throttle to X rotation). Yet when I start a flight and push the yoke forward and back to move the elevators, engine #1 throttle jump to 50% and then goes back and forth with the yoke, despite not being assinged to that axis. I tried changing the USB port it was plugged in to and deleting the yoke from the controllers and re-installing it, but the problem persists. I had a similar problem …

Hi, I have a saitek/logitech Throttle quadrant with USB connection, I use it perfectly under win7 for years. As time goes, I'm thinking of moving to win10 then, and had one installed on same computer for years while merely used, I recently reinstalled that win10 and updated to 20H1, but the when booted in that system, I can hear the sound of device plug and unplug intermittently all the day, and I can see my saitek TQ's LED light turns lit and out and "things" appear and disappear in the device panel all along. I checked the USB power saving setting are off, and all my other 5 usb controller are working fine, tried other usb ports and they all behave the same wa…

  5. My Saitek combat pedals won't physically center anymore... the springs or whatever inside of them makes one of the pedals offset giving me a default center point of added right rudder. Does anyone have any experience opening and adjusting these? If not I've decided I want to fork out some cash to upgrade them. I'm undecided between three different products Virpil ACE Flight: https://virpil-controls.eu/vpc-ace-flight-pedals.html MFG Crosswind (back ordered): https://mfg-sim.com/en/rudders/1-mfg-crosswind-v3-graphite.html Thrustmaster TPR: https://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-TPR-Pedals-Windows-pc/dp/B07DQY8LVC/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=rudd…

I have been having Windows 10 crashes at various times but mostly when I tried to download a few specific programs. I noticed that in the brief note of crash there was a CH Products SYS file was causing the problem. I then unloaded all CH Products software and cleaned them from the registry. Since then the same downloads that caused crashes now work as the should. I remember that I had a difficult time trying to find drivers when my yoke acted strange. They were on some odd site but a long trail from the CH site took me there so it just looked like another CH messy attempt at software. Does anyone know of an "official" site fro CH drivers?

I invested to the above mentioned controller and I wonder if someone has used it in FSX? I mean is there helicopter specific actions to map? Any other things to consider? I bought this to be used in DCS but FSX has some fine helos too.

  8. All, After nearly two decades of sterling service, the pots in my PFC Max yoke have reached the end. I was able to easily replace the rotary pot for roll but a linear pot replacement for pitch is proving difficult. The original pot was an Alpha B100K with 100mm travel. There are similar models around but the dimensions don't work out. I contacted Precision Flight who told me that that specific pot was no longer manufactured. However, they did say that since the pot was dual-gang (and was only used single gang by the yoke) I could change the pick up to use the other track. This I have done and, using a meter, I can tell its working fine. However, there is a …

  9. I see a lot of 3d printed handle attachments designed mostly to fit the Saitek Quandrant levers and very few designed for the CH Quadrant Lever Stems. I was wonder what the size difference is between CH Quadrant Lever Stems and Saitek Quadrant Lever Stems. If anyone has both or experience with both please fill me in on that data. Thanks Gary

Hi all. I am trying to reinstall my Logitech Flight Yoke without success. I am using 64 bit Windows 10 pro, which is fully updated, and trying to install the correct software 8.0.213.0 from the Logitech downloads page. It gets to the part where you plug the USB in, but the "NEXT" button stays greyed out. Even after plugging in the USB the yoke doesn't appear in the device manager HID or USB lists, and not even as an unknown item. The program itself is in the list of programs and there an icon on my desktop, but that only opens the yoke programming page which obviously doesn't work, because the yoke hasn't been recognised / installed. I have no reason to believe that …

So has anyone pre-ordered the new Bravo Throttle Quadrant at $250? Looks like release day is Sept 1st. Really looking forward to this, My old CH quadrant is long in the tooth, and not supported by MSFS either.

  13. Started by Rod,

I am trying to program the Bravo throttle using the standard P3d settings, so far not doing too bad. it would be a lot easier if I could find a simple picture of the throttle with the buttons numbered. The buttons are a bit of a challenge since P3d uses a single key press for two different functions, like CTRL + . to set and release parking brake and it will not let me program switch 32 and 34 for the same function. 14. Hi,I'm experiencing this problem: my cfg is Win10 Home edition last updates, P3D 4.5 HF3, Spad.nExt as inteface for my Saitek Flight panels. I have a second Saitek throttle panel for managing flaps and fuel flow in Flythemaddog X profile. When I use it I see that also yoke is moving. At least I've seen that windows 10 has this device in the control panel/device list. When I remove this device (but after Spad.nExt is running) everything works normally.Anyone has the same problem? Thanks in advance,Alessandro

Hi, Throttle unboxed and plugged in alongside my Alpha Yoke, a nice late 2020 present! I've tried initially to set it up using Lorby's Axis and Ohs mostly successfully but not the trim wheel, it just spins without effect. I have FSUIPC also and it does not seem to work, all other axis seem ok. Also no sign of life in controller settings in P3D itself. Is there something I need to do first to bring it to life? Regards, Mark

Bought CH Products rudder pedals the other day and expecting arrival tomorrow but won't get to use it for a week due to the Big Basement Project my wife and I are doing. In any case, I'd like a quick confirmation of how I believe the rudder pedals are supposed to work: 1. The yawing is done by pushing the corresponding pedal to yaw in that direction (i.e., push right pedal to yaw right). 2. The toe braking is done by tilting the pedal forward to brake the corresponding wheel to turn, or tilt both pedals forward to brake in the forward direction. Did I get it right? I know it seems like such a simple thing to ask, but I wanted to be sure I got it right. …

  18. Looks like they tried to emulate the long throw arc of a control column. I'm not into yokes, but it looks like an interesting entry level option. https://fselite.net/news/thrustmaster-officially-announces-tca-boeing-yoke-pack/

I have been using a saitek 3 axis throttle quadrant all these years.. it has served me well.. but looks like the pots are slowly wearing out.. when i fly twin engine planes with 2 separate throttle levers, i get different %N1 when i try to set the throttles independently.. I do have registered FSUIPC and tried to calibrate, but i am getting a mismatch in %N1 when i try to set the throttles.. so this results in some yaw motion (pilot induced) during takeoff and landing.. I'm getting a bravo quadrant in a few days (fingers crossed).. do any of you bravo owners face any similar issue? or is the bravo quite accurate in throttle setting.. i'm especially worried about 4 e…

  22. Do you like having Access to every control and event on hardware 🙂 Cool me too!! Please if you have not spent any time on the MSFS forums then spend the 15 mins required to look at 5 Topics so that you get your T1 Status .... Then once you have done that 🙂 Please vote on this thread... If we make it loud enough then we will gain even more access to this Sim!! https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/enhanced-api-to-access-all-aircraft-state-and-trigger-all-cockpit-functions/454608

  23. Hi, mates! My GoFligh Radio module has long been going wonky, so I finally stopped using it. Now I miss being able to operate radios via hardware, so decided to buy something. But, at least currently, I want it to be on a budget. The only option I can see is Logitech, formerly Saitek, radio panel, called now, I believe, Logitech ProFlight Radio Panel. Now my question, before I spend the money, is does it work fine with the current version of Prepar3D, which is 5.2? And, preferably, with FSLabs airbuses, which are my main aircraft of choice? Does anyone have experience with this combo? Plus the software question. I saw no P3D5 version of software on Lo…
