Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etc

This is a forum to discuss issues with Joysticks, pedals, yokes, other interface hardware like panels, etc.

  1. I have developed an Arduino Pro Micro controller for my Saitek/CH flight yoke HE kits. This is a good replacement or upgrade for faulty or outdated OEM controller board. Here is the Youtube video link: Thank you!

  2. HI None of the lights or buttons function on my Logitech Flight Switch Panel, Radio Panel, or Multi Panel unless I hold the right mouse button down when adjusting the Logitech gear. As soon as I press the right mouse button the radios come alive and the Autopilot lights up, etc. I tried both the standard aircraft (Bonanza and C172) as well as a third-party purchased aircraft (Piper Warrior). It's a brand new install and I haven't adjusted any button mapping, standard Honeycomb setup and as far as I can tell there isn't any setup for the Logitech stuff (it doesn't show up anywhere in MSFS). FWIW everything works fine in X-Plane, but I'd like to try MSFS since it's p…

  3. I have a ch eclipse since early 2019, only lightly to moderately used for the most part. For some reason despite barely using it, when I pull back on the yoke it sounds like gravel inside or grinding at center angles on the pull back. Has anyone ran into this and knows of a quick fix? Thanks in advance

I use the Logitech Attack 3 joystick when flying Airbus or stick controlled aircraft in MSFS 2020. I had the axis set up correctly and the joystick is calibrated through Windows and doesn't show any of the issues I am seeing when in the aircraft. What happens is when using either the elevator axis or aileron axis the joystick in the aircraft snaps back to centre without me doing anything. As said above this doesn't occur when in the windoes calibration menu and the settings menu it doesn't occur either. I am not too sure what is going on, I have tried everything that I can think of, but nothing is working. Any thoughts?

  5. My yoke is no longer being properly recognized by my computers. gamepad-tester.com reports it as "06a3-0bac-Unknown Gamepad" when connected to either my Windows 10 Pro (64) or my Windows 11 Home (64) computer. X-Plane 11 on the Windows 11 computer sometimes recognizes it as a new joystick device (VID:0X06A3PID:0X0BAC) and wants to calibrate it. However, the calibration routine does not detect any axis movement. Once, a few weeks ago, the yoke worked as expected. But not anymore. All assistance is greatly appreciated. Reverse throttle issue, wasn't this supposed to be fixed in one of the updates ?, right now reverse thrust is always checked in settings, uncheck it, it goes back to being checked on next start up.

  8. Hi all I am accumulating quite a bit of peripheral control hardware for my Sim Setup. My goal is to eventually have enough control mapped to hardware to do a flight without resorting to the mouse or keyboard. I also try to have my controllers mounted in a way that approximates the right/left hand ergonomics of the aircraft I'm flying. My current question is this... How can I map the lighting controls of a given Aircraft Cockpit to hardware controller switches? I have look at the in sim (P3D 4.5) options and they are surprisingly limited in comparison to what most aircraft panels offer on screen. The most common I would want to map would be Beacon, strobe, …

  9. I have calibrated with MFG 2.17 in auto & manual. Rudder goes through full range from left to right, but stays full right at center (no input). MSFS set to Modern not Legacy. All conflicting bindings from other controllers have been checked and eliminated. Same problem with different aircraft. (Cessna 172 & PMDG 737) As an aside, I am able to get rudder to behave normally when programmed with Spad.Next. (want to use MSFS sensitivity settings though) Any suggestions? 10. Hello, I recently replaced the toe brake pots in my CH rudder pedals but I neglected to take a picture before I disconnected the wiring. Now I just have the right brake pedal being recognized, but the left pedal and the rudder axis (Z axis) is not recognized at all. Is there a wiring diagram available anywhere so I can check to make sure I have all the wires connected correctly? I was unable to find anything on Google.

Just getting back into FS and I dusted off my old Saitek AV8R only to find FS2020 doesn't like it much. I don't find any kind of a profile for it and when I assign controls they are very sensitive. Is there any way to damp this down a bit? Thanks!

I have an old Logitech extreme 3d pro that’s now 14-15 years old. In p3d it still does a great job. However, in Msfs, I can’t seem to figure out how to make smooth inputs. I’ve tried various sensitivity curves and null zones, but none provide smooth inputs… the joystick is incredibly noisy and twitchy inside Msfs. In pmdg 737 in p3d - smooth inputs. In Msfs - my approaches look like a drunk pilot is behind the controls. Ditto for the FSLabs a320 in p3d and the just released Fenix a320. Anyone have success with this joystick in MSFS? I know my joystick is old and noisy, but it simply works great in p3d. Not sure why it doesn’t in Msfs. If it’s time to replace it,…

  13. I thinking about throttle to better use on my airplanes. Using the build in throttle in my old Saitek Joystick is not that good for planes without auto throttle. Sadly the Honeycomb is a bit too big, their Tango Foxtrott is not processing and no news on it (llok on the FSElite link). So I watched some videos and tests on the Thrustmaster Airbus set. I fly Airbus but also 777 and had the Majestic Dash in use. Is it possible to use it with the non airbus style aircrafts? If I saw it right the detents are possible to disable and so use it with other aircraft. But the flaps are not for that? So would it make sense to buy only the throttle and not the other pack? I'm curr…

  14. Fulcrum have announced their Throttle unit. Six axes; magnetic sensors; tilting mount to match real aircraft position and variable tension adjuster. https://fulcrumsim.com/product/fulcrum-one-throttle-pre-order/ There's an option to fund the program via KickStarter. I've happily done that as I already have the yoke and know Chris is a perfectionist when it comes to design. It is exactly the same size as two Saitek / Logitech throttle quadrants so far smaller than the Honeycomb unit. For those of us who have used Saitek quadrants for years and then become frustrated when the failure of a tiny potentiometer means you have to junk it this offering looks a…

I just ordered one. I'm wondering now if it will be compatible with MS Precision Pro joystick in Flight Simulator 2020. Wording on the CH site says it's only compatible with other CH products. But I've watched several Youtube videos that show people using it with other non-CH devices. I don't mind doing the binding myself. Thanks Dave

  16. I am looking for recommendations for a suitable device for controlling the camera in MSFS2020. I'd like the device to have a few buttons to which I can program specific views (internal and external), as well as joysticks for doing, say, a walkaround. Thinking that I would need 5 degrees of freedom - X, Y and Z translation, look up/down rotation and look left/right rotation. Any recommendations for a controller appreciated. Thanks, Rushad

  17. I have searched and found no other posts on this, but if I missed one please forgive me… Amazon just delivered my Thrustmaster Boeing TCA Yoke. (Yeah!) Unfortunately, just as I fired up MSFS to try it out I discovered that the sound system on my PC had totally died. (Booo). I spent literally hours this evening trying to figure out what had gone wrong with my sound system. My hard wired speakers wont work, my bluetooth connected speakers wont work, and even my bluetooth earbuds wont work with anything on the computer, not just MSFS. I finally discovered that the Thrustmaster Boeing yoke was the source of the problems. If I unplug the USB from the yoke, my sound sys…

  18. Needing some help with saitek throttle quadrant. I have a Cessna yoke with quadrant and a second quadrant (usb). I have been using both for years without a problem. Suddenly now my second quadrant (usb) will not work. Fsx won’t recognize it. In windows control panel it shows up under “unspecified” and says the drivers need to be reinstalled. I tried reinstalling the saitek driver for it but no change. Did the quadrant die or something else going on? All of my other saitek equipment works fine (6x fip’s, switch panel, radio panel, warning light panel, pedals, yoke with quadrant, auto pilot panel - all working fine).

I Have a ticket lodged with thrustmaster but wanted to ask here also. I have lost all input from the center pedestal add-ons, No Spoiler, no auto brake, no gear, no flaps ,no rudder trim, no parking break, However the thrust levers, engine start switches, and ignition starters all work perfect. SATA cables are all seated and re-seated. This is not just an in sim binding/calibration issue from using the thrustmaster control panel i can see there not working its like no power is being distributed to the failed components. What makes the isuue more annoying is there was only 12hrs since my last flight which everything acted perfect, I cant blame a sim upd…

  22. Hi guys I purchased a Saitek Pro yoke/throttle set on a trading website and everything arrived except the clamp screw to anchor the clamp to the desk. Could one of you measure yours for me? I've gone to a few hardware stores but none sell such a large screw in a plastic material. Thanks in advance for your time! Dan

SO excited... I had the Iris FFB V2 yoke from their kickstarter program but unfortunately it finally died after 7 years of use a few months ago. I decided to go for the Yoko+ from VirtualFly thinking I would be able to live without the FFB functionality. Turns out the Yoko+ is an incredible feeling yoke. Very well made and a real quality piece of kit but it turns out I do also move the FFB more than I anticipated. Decided to treat myself and the CLS-E NG from Brunner will be here this afternoon. Don't really have much else to say yet. Just super excited and as my wife can't seem to relate I thought maybe someone here would understand!! LOL BTW, Yoko+ is…

Hi everyone, Does anyone here know if there a way I can increase the resistance of the TCA Boeing thrust levers? I couldn't find the answer in the manual, on Google, or on the AVSIM search bar, and I'm trying to save myself the minor inconvenience of creating an account at Thrustmaster's website. Thanks for any answers!

Can anyone post a first hand opinion of Thrustmaster's TCA Stick. I currently own the Trustmaster T Flight Hotas but I want an ambidextrous stick that doesn't have a single throttle permanently attached as I have several multi axis quadrants. I wish to use it for both civil and military simulations. Opinions? Thanks
