Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etc

This is a forum to discuss issues with Joysticks, pedals, yokes, other interface hardware like panels, etc.

  1. Just noticed this on youtube and thought I'd post in incase anyone is interested, Derek Speare is having a spring blowout sale to clear out some of his inventory of button boxes. I've been using one of his boxes for over 5 years, bought it back when I used to sim race often. They'll probably sell out fast. Link to his site, https://derekspearedesigns.com/index.html

There are two bulbs out on my Saitek Multi-panel. Has anyone replaced these before? What bulb type? Any LED substitutes?

  3. As I delve back into the world of simming again, looking to replace the joystick for a better all over experience. I have read about ongoing quality issues with the logitech g x56 hotas, but that's the kind of setup I think I'd like to go for. Is anyone using the Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog? I know it's expensive and looks like it would take some time to set up, let alone save up for!! Prefer to keep the joystick approach as I will load my old MS Combat FS's at a later date. Thanks!

  4. I was wondering if I can use the USB-C slot on the back of my motherboard and free up a USB-A slot for other devices. Can the TM Boeing Yoke work with USB-C to USB-C cable instead of me using the USB-C to USB-A that comes with it.

  5. A friend of mine and I are having the same problem. After we make trim adjustments to make an aircraft fly level or straight we get the correct response but then the plane reverts to its old atttitude.I'm on a PC with a CH Fighterstick and he is on Xbox.Has anyone had this problem and found a solution? Thanks and keep the green side down.

Hello! I’m looking at upgrading. I’m currently looking at winning or Virpil. From what I can see both are quality. Virpil is definitely more expensive, but also more “smooth” and accurate from the reviews I’ve seen. The thing that I really like about Virpil is the extension they have for their sticks as I’m planning on getting the monstertech chair with the center cut out which this would be perfect for. While Winwing is probably the best bang for your buck stick. I fly EVERYTHING, which is my issue. helicopter, planes and spaceships I want something that has the “dead stick” when flying helicopters, to be more like a cyclic. HOWEVER this…

  7. Hello, I bought Saitek Pro Flight Yoke second hand and it is kind of loose in the middle of roll axis... It's a bit hard to explain but I'll try... When the yoke is centered (I will only be talking about roll/aileron axis), I can move it left and right a bit with no resistance, it's twirling like a screw was loosened or something. I am attaching a picture which may explain it better. The movement of the yoke doesn't make the marked parts move until it's tilted by like 0,5 cm, therefore there is no resistance around the center and it's quite annoying in flight. Has anyone come across this issue? What was your solution? I don't see any screws …

  8. Started by Skyseek,

I am using MSFS 2020. I am new to the Track IR 5 and I have downloaded the Flight Sim profile from Natural Point. It helped a little, but I am having flutter issues, which probably means the sensitivity is not set correctly. Having the Tracker on and trying to set anything on the A/C panel is frustrating. I usually turn it off when I need to work with settings on the A/C panel and turn it back on when completed, which kind of defeats the purpose? I was wondering if someone can share their profile file for MSFS 2020 so I can use as a starting point. I have left several posts on the Natural Point Track IR 5 Forum. They moderate their forum and y…

I have for some years now flown with a Saitek pro flight yoke, where I have put a Leo Bodnar BU0836A board to take care of the pitch and roll axes. That functions well, but I have experienced a problem: The saitek part of the yoke disconnects occasionally in X-plane, if the sim looses focus ((I have LittleNavmap on a secondary screen). The Leo bodnar board works still flawless in that situation. Hence, I need to disconnect and reconnect my yoke setup. My question is: Has anybody tried to connect all the buttons and axes to the Leo Bodnar board, and then ditch the Saitek board completely? Can anybody tell me, which wire to connect where? I will probably…

Hi; I need help with Spad.next and Logitech Switch Panel for FSX Acceleration. I don't know if this is the right place to post this question but I am getting desperate for an answer. Problem is I am using Feelthere E175 V2 for FSX and the only thing I can program is the Gear up and down and the led lights, All other switches don't seem to be recognized. Everything is connected as per Spad instructions. If anyone is using this software, I would appreciate some feedback. Thanks. If this is not appropriate for this Form, please let me know and delete it. Thanks Again.

Every since the last MSFS2020 update I cannot get my Extreme 3D joystick throttle to behave. No matter how slowly I increase the throttle the aircraft throttle jumps back to the idle position. I have tried with 2 different prop aircraft and also changed the throttle setting to reverse which make no difference (except the throttle movement is then reversed). I do hope this forum is correct for such a question as I could not see any other forum which would suit the question better.

  14. This video demonstrates how Touch Sensors can also be used to create a fun and different way to perform actions in the simulator just as you would by using a Push Button or Toggle Switch. The TTP223 Touch Sensor Module offers several configurations and the option to add LEDs, which can be used as status or indicator lights. These modules can be wired to any type of Interface card you use with your simulator, such as the Arduino Mega 2560, Leo Bodnar BBI-32 or any generic USB HID or Encoder Card. This works for Flight Simulator 2020, prepar3d and X-Plane. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5AQ1-dzxQY

Called the "Shrimp" -- see https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/the-shrimp-keyboard From the Intro -- "Nordic Game Supply’s mini-keyboard The Shrimp is a little different: it’s a 25-key macro pad arranged to look like the left side of a standard keyboard. The company calls it a 20 percent gaming keyboard, and it’s designed for gamers who want that mechanical keyboard feel in the keys that really matter — the W, A, S, D keys and the 21 keys that surround them."

Hi all, I have the opportunity of potentially picking up a VRinsight Boeing MCP, does anyone else have one, and can recommend or not? Simple to set up with PMDG in MSFS?

Hello Last week after the windows update, one of my Saitek radio stacks does not power up; and the AP on my multipanel lights the switches but not the panel above where you set ALT. I sent a ticket to Ulrich at SPAD and he thought maybe a power source problem, and to switch USB ports. But that did not help. If anyone has the same problem, or a suggestion on what to do, i greatly appreciate it! Does windows have a way to check power to usbs? Pardon if I have posted to the wrong forum.

Guys, found the perfect spot to mount my Tobii 5. Since I can't really connect it to my screen (LG C1 48") I had to think of an alternative which I luckily found by fixing it to the top of the smartphone/tablet holder of the yoke. I used one of the magnetic flat mounts that came with the device, sticks perfectly to the top bar. Solid! Happy days!

Hi Folks here is a strange one. I have just installed a Bravo throttle quadrant and have discovered that my CH yoke has disappeared from the Control Options in MSFS2020. Does anyone know if the Bravo overrides other controllers? Regards...Kenny. Dohh...Operator error. I had also been re-arranging my desk layout and had changed the layout of my usb cables. I have two usb cards and it looks like there is a faulty port in one of them. I changed the port for the yoke and it is now working.

I just received the Cockpit-Simulator 737 MCP and EFIS (https://www.cockpit-simulator.com/). While I have not had time for a formal flight yet, I am very pleased and they appear very nice. The buttons have a great feel, the feel solid, and are well featured. The autothrottle toggles off when disconnected from teh throttles, the center button on the EFIS is locked out for non-applicable modes, etc. The backlighting is great! Just thought I'd share and perhaps I can share more feedback after hopefully getting a chance for a flight or two this weekend.

I have Logitech/ Saitek panels, Radio panel and multi panel. I am using Win11 on 64 machine and still trying to hang on to using FSX/Steam as I have a small fortune invested in it. Although I downloaded and installed the latest drivers from Logitech I can't get the panels to work. I have not ventured into tinkering with the registry and if at all possible I do not wish to do that. Are their any others out there that have experienced this problem and corrected it?

  23. Started by John Fields,

Hi, everyone. I have the Thrustmaster T16000M controls with pedals. Lately, I've noticed, that with the throttle at 0 the plane does not stop on the ground (in the air the engine does not stay at 0 either, but it is less noticeable). On land, after braking with the pedals, when I lift my feet off the pedals the movement resumes. However, when activating the F1 key on the keyboard, the throttle stays at 0 and the plane finally stops. This did not happen before. I have tried to uninstall the controls, to reset them, to change the USB port..., but I can't find the solution. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Hi, Has anyone got a working hardware FCU (maybe +EFIS) for the Fenix A320? I've been looking at a few different options online and most seem pretty woolly about whether they integrate well with the Fenix in MSFS. I'm aware that might be because of the state of the SDK rather than anything to do with the OEM, but I'd like to find our what people have that's working, what the limitations are etc. Many Thanks Graham
