Hi all As posted elsewhere I am commencing a 3x 55" 4K TV build also using NLR Flight Simulator Pro for cockpit. I was planning on using the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo flight controls. However - I cannot seem to source the Bravo anywhere, all suppliers (I am in Australia) have various dates for backorders. I have seen a lot of rumours that Honeycomb is going out of business and I'm now wary of having my entire project de-railed. As such, I need a plan B. What would people recommend for flight controls if Honeycomb ends up not being available? I will fly a mix of GA and Commercial - first two aircraft will likely be SWS PC-12, and PMDG 737 (this is on MSFS). …

I, have a both the latest versions of MSFS and X-Plane 12. my Logitech switch panel works well in MSFS with no issue at all. It was immediately recognized and controls everything (for the plane that can use it) like it should. But X-Plane 12 does not even recognize it. I downloaded the latest drivers from Logitech and have gone back and from one Sim to the other and the issue is with X-plane. is there a work around or am I doing something wrong? Edited Saturday at 07:32 PM by SimPilotRick …

  4. Occasionally I like to jump into a quick flight without going through all the procedure of clearing my desk, connecting up my yoke so just use a gamepad. Its great for this except the joystick does react VERY quickly, especially in GA coming into land at low speed. Is it possible to alter this at all? I have gone into controller settings and cant see any options to alter the sensitivity? Any tips appreciated

  9. Hi guys See some pictures of guys taking the basic Thurstmaster Warthog stick and modifying it to Heli usage. Read one guys used/extended the tube between the joystick and base, is this a thrustmaster option or not, thinking about the joystick plugging into a plug in the base … G Looked but could not find where to post this, tried tips and tricks, but it seems to be locked.

Merci d'avance.

Hi, I’m new to Avsim. Been flying FSX with a Saitek yoke and throttle for several years now. Looking to start upgrading the hardware to a much more realistic rig. Started with online shopping for MCP, throttles, etc. I realize the high end setups have to run some interface software but I haven’t found a good source of info to figure out what that part is all about. In fact, some hardware seems to indicate it is USB as if it can plug into the PC direct without any other software? is there a comprehensive online resource that can help me understand how these system work and are connected? Thanks!

Recently i have decided to buy throttle hardware, but no more plastic stuff from Logitech or Thrustmaster. So i have started to dig and search. Found a few companies which products look decent, but... From where those prices are coming from? It is impossible to find any unit which will cost u less than 300 Euro ( including taxes and shipment ). And we still talk about metal box consist of simple board with few electronic components plus simple levers, few push buttons and rotary knobs ( each of these components cost few bucks ) One company have jumped hyperspace selling very simple throttle for almost 800Euro.( including taxes and shipment co…

I'm brand new to the paid version FSUIPC, 2 days now, so am learning as a newbie. T.A.R.G.E.T. and CHControlManger (for Thrustmaster and CH controllers respectively) allow a button to be designated as a shift button. Pushing that button (such as the flipper on a joystick) will not do anything, but it will determine which of 2 things pushing another button will do. The FSUIPC programing AP that is in your FSX Menu as Addons|FSUPIC (if you have purchased FSUPIC) will easily program the buttons, easier than Target or CHCM. But there is no provision for shifted assignments when using it, but as the 'advanced users guide' PDF file explains, it can be done. …

  16. Hi All To begin with, apologies if I have missed a previous post. I have searched online and could not find a link to this specific issue and am really hoping that members can offer help / advice. I have recently installed Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator World War 2 Europe series on my Dell PC. I am running the latest version of Windows 11. I have a Thrustmaster HOTAS throttle, joystick and rudders. They are all calibrated correctly and work perfectly with every other flight sim that I own. However.... for some unknown reason, Microsoft Combat Flight World War 2 is identifying the throttle as the ailerons which means, when I open the throttle up, the plan…

And use one of the lower right axis for throttle. And the other one I would map both brakes axis onto it. That way you have a proportional analogue brake that makes slowing down smooth and easy. You can type on a keyboard better with hands rather than feet. Same with modulating brakes. Foot brakes are practical in planes and cars only because you have force feedback in the real world. And it also would serve as a parking brake that you can ver…

  18. I have the Boeing TCA pack with one Throttle quadrant which works satisfactorily in P3d with two engine aircraft such as the PMDG 737/777 using the P3d axes for the throttles and FSUIPC to set max reverse thrust with the reverser toggles. With lack of space for a second quadrant, for the PMDG 747-400, is there a way to assign the left throttle handle to engines 1&2 and the right throttle handle to engines 3&4? From what I can see within P3d, each axis can only be assigned to one function at a time. Any help appreciated.

Hello! I'm having the hardest time deciding between the Wingwing 15EX throttle or the Stecs standard... Wingwing Thoughts- The base! I love how many switches and buttons it has! I feel like I need this as I'm interested in Jets, wwII planes, Space (Star citizen) and helicopters. I'm going to need all the switches and buttons I can get! This is my biggest issue with the Stecs, I don't like the base. I don't like the look of it, it just doesn't seem too VR friendly and doesn't have as many switches. I was tempted to get the stecs mini and then a control panel from wingwing or Virpil so I'd have switches. This ends up costing…

Hi all. At the moment I'm flying using a thrustmaster hotas, and a 3 axis controller for engine, plus trim wheel and buttons/switches. Was looking around for pedals and so on, till I came up to this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4630192 What to you think? It's a stick, not a joke, but with pedals, and looks quite sturdy and similar to the one of a light aircraft. Since I have a 3d printer and can manage electronics, I'm thinking about building one (maybe with added buttons, pov switch and such). Do you think it may be worth it? Or better go for a usual one? About this one I like expecially the pedals.

  23. Last night doing an approach, trimmed high to reduce speed. My stick got physically heavy? It's not force feedback (2le5 yrs old CH flight stick). # So what causes this? I am learning to build external throttle, etc. Can the potentiometers be charged with resistance. Dave. CYEL. Grounded four years. Used FS 2004/FSX-SE to shoot circuits. Friends helped me cobble together five monitors; 3 view, 1 panel, 1 LNM. (Not a lot of scenery detail, more function; both of us are growng.) 🙂

  24. Hi to all, I have posted 3 video clips on YouTube for those who are interested to learn about how to replace the Saitek OEM faulty pitch and roll axes potentiometers with a set of Hall Effect sensors. The only requirements are reasonable DIY skill and patience. Do not worried - no soldering is required. 🙂 Here are the link "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Us-wvCEZ1Is"
