Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etc

This is a forum to discuss issues with Joysticks, pedals, yokes, other interface hardware like panels, etc.

    I use FSUIPC to control my CH Yoke, Pedals and Throttle Quad. I have a new Dell XPS 8950 running win11. Apparently the box contains to xbox controllers. My CH Throttle Quad has the same values as these controllers. FSUIPC Scan found this: ,,, REGscanning completed N, x00, x28DE, x11FF, , -1, 1, 0, {NULL}, {E4C16590-E101-11ED-8006-444553540000}, {E4C16590-E101-11ED-8006-444553540000}, Y, Y N, x00, x068E, x00FA, CH THROTTLE QUADRANT, -1, 1, 0, {NULL}, {E4C16590-E101-11ED-8006-444553540000}, {E4C16590-E101-11ED-8006-444553540000}, Y, Y N, x00, x28DE, x11FF, , -1, 1, 0, {NULL}, {E4C16590-E101-11ED-8006-444553540000}, {E4C16590-E101-11ED-8006-4445…

Since a few flights, the joystick has been causing problems. Aileron deflection to the right is completely smooth, but to the left there is a jerk like a flighter initiating a turn. The stick is disabled in P3Dv4.5. The complete flight controls plus throttle are controlled and calibrated via FSUIPC. Does anyone have a tip for a workaround? Disconnecting the stick from the PC, re-setting and calibrating did not help. Peter

As the title says, I am using the Simujabs 737 yoke. Overall, it is a great yoke, but there is a null or dead zone in the middle of the yoke. Even with null zone pretty much removed using either the P3d menu or FSUIPC, the null zone remains. I move the yoke forward or tilt it sideways a little but and nothing happens. Then I move it further and the aircraft starts to roll or pitch etc. This in itself is not too bad. However, when I return the yoke to the neutral position to stop the roll or pitch movement, it is like the yoke doesn't register the center position and I have to move it slightly the other way to get the motion to stop. If I put on a lot of roll then the aircr…

I've been using the afore mentioned products for many years, starting FS2004, FSX and FSX-Steam. I control them with a licensed copy of FSUIPC. What experience does anyone have using CH products with MSFS? Thanks in Advance, Jim Driskell

  5. Started by Angelo Cosma,

As promised here is my unboxing and quick review on the Agronn Boeing 737 Column USB Yoke. First quick couple of flights have been amazing! Love the feel, the full 180 degree roll of the control wheel makes banking so much easier. There is no springs in this yoke, it feels almost hydraulically which is what I wanted for a very very long time. The Pitch fore and aft get heavier the further you go. Doing a flight controls check is pure bliss now watching the indexes move so smoothly on the EICAS. The Hall effect sensors do great and calibration was virtually not needed as everything is accurate. The buttons on the yoke really take it to the next level. The Mic tri…

  7. Chris of Fulcrum brought the pre-production model of his new Throttle Quadrant to our local flight sim meeting in Heald Green yesterday. We’re a couple of miles from Manchester Airport (EGCC) close to the flight path. The quadrant is excellent. A very small footprint on your desk. The mounting plate is just 6” (150mm) wide so if space is at a premium this will suite you fine. The six levers can be adjusted for tension and the mounting allows it to be tilted forward so it matches the throttle angles in a Boeing / Airbus. It’s the perfect solution for all serious pilots with high quality components and a very competitive price. I’ve placed my order! 😁 ht…

I've been searching around for a solution to a problem I've been having and stumbled across this for CH products. Accessories | Electronic Components Distributor DigiKey So I figured I'd share it along since there seems to be people always looking for replacement parts.😁

I bought a saitek pro flight cessna yoke recently pretty cheap and so expected it to have something wrong with it. After plugging it in i caught that when the yoke was turned to the right, there was an uncontrollable amount of jitter which rendered my flight impossible. I replaced what i thought was a faulty potentiometer in the roll axis of the yoke with one of the same specifications yet the jitter still persists. It’s weird as the yoke sits perfectly still when turned to the left. Any ideas what could be causing this?

  12. I am having an issue with some of my Winwing devices not showing in SimApp. This is apparently related to Windows updating the driver to some version that causes SimApp to not recognize it beyond as a USB game controller. In an FAQ they review uninstalling the driver, clearing the registry with a .bat file, and reinstalling... https://wwsimstore.com/view/help.html?nav=W3siaWQiOjIsInRpdGxlIjoiU2VydmljZSJ9LHsiaWQiOjgsInRpdGxlIjoiU29mdHdhcmUifV0=&id=d3d0NDU= I am on the latest build of Windows 11 and their instructions are not matching with what I'm finding. 13. For anyone using the Saitek/Logitech Pro Flight Yoke, the X52 HOTAS, or the X52 Pro HOTAS, you've most likely encountered difficulties with using the Mode Switch with anything other than the Saitek Smart Technology profile editor. Using Windows Game Controllers (joy.cpl) will show the Mode Switch as functioning, yet your game or third-party programming software (like LINDA or FSUIPC) will not recognize any input from the Mode Switch. You'll see virtually everything else, just not the Mode Switch. There is a reason for that, and a solution as well. The Mode Switch was intended to triple the amount of keybindings/controls that you could program, by using "profile…

  14. HI all, I want to get the honey comb yoke, but not sure what throttle quadrant or rudder pedals to get. I mainly fly single engine aircraft and Honey Combs throttle quadrant is too expensive for my budget. Does Logitech's throttle quadrant work seamlessly with this yoke?

Hey Everyone! Wanted to know if anyone has any experience with the LowRider plus bracket? https://www.allsportsystems.com/flight-simulator-under-desk-yoke-mount.php Especially with the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo setup to it. Im looking in getting a new standing desk so that I can adjust the height and use this to easily switch into cockpit mode and there are few things that concern me and there isn't much in the ways of youtube reviews or even posts in this forum. How does the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo handle being top mounted? My understanding is that top mounting area was more of an "accessory holder" and not really meant to mount the entire Yoke and Throttle. Since y…

  20. Hello Everyone: I'm looking FlightSim stores in Europe other than Amazon, that will sell Rudder Pedals (Looking for Thrustmaster TRFC or Logitech Rudder Pedals.) Thx!!!

  21. Started by flyinion,

Looking for suggestions for a new stand alone throttle unit, preferably one that's not ergonomically tied to the left hand so it can be used on the right side for airbus flying with a left hand stick. I currently use a Bravo but it's starting to have problems and Honeycomb is refusing to provide warranty service. I'm not opening it up while it's technically in the 2 year warranty period, so I'm done with them and looking for something new and hopefully sturdier. The current one has only seen moderate use as well as sims are not my primary gaming. Edit: I'm still after suggestions "just in case", but Honeycomb seems to actually be doing the right thing now.

  23. Started by Virtual-Chris,

Hey, anyone here using an Amazon USB handbrake for a collective. I bought one and while it's going to be a bit of a challenge to get it mounted to my chair, I'm looking forward to it. For anyone that has one... what did you do to ease or eliminate the spring? The video I watched said to loosen the bolt on the spring to ease it. I'm wondering if it might be best to just take the spring off, but then will it have issues with moving beyond it's limit? What have you done?

  24. Cross-post from the MSFS forum in case anyone here has any ideas. I am having a frustrating, somewhat maddening problem with my Thrustmaster TCA Airbus quadrant, with the two addons. This seems different from the usual “loses connection” issues I’ve seen. I bought the pack around Christmas, and shortly after that also bought the PMDG 737. In order to get the flaps etc to work with the 737, I also got Spad.net and Lorby’s A&O. Neither of these I think are relevant, but hey, more data points. I fly mainly with the FBW A320 and the 737. I have run the calibration within FBW, as well as the hardware calibration on the actual unit. It happens with GA, not just th…
