Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etc

This is a forum to discuss issues with Joysticks, pedals, yokes, other interface hardware like panels, etc.

Hello all, Can someone give me some info about this Hardware?? I am in need of changing my very old and inaccurate Saitek/Logitech throttles. Quite frankly I am tired of these.I don't fly heavies not Boeing nor airbus at the moment. Only fly twin props and the Honda Jet and singles. I am seeing conflicting reviews, some good some not so, what is your verdict, worth the money? Will this HW run out of the box with minimal setup? and how accurate is this unit? I have very little desk space that is one reason why I am considering this. There is not much else on the market to consider as throttles. Thanks.

  2. Turtle Beach recently unveiled their rudder pedals and flight stand. On Friday, they teased their upcoming military-styled flight stick. Pre-order dates haven't been set nor has the pricing been released, but I'll keep you updated. I think this can compete quite well with the base Logitech and Thrustmaster pedals and stick, especially for Xbox users.

  3. I want to know why it is that every time I go into slew mode in FSX, my plane starts spinning violently all over the ramp. I recently purchased the Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick and the TCA Throttle Quadrant, and this is when the problem started. I know the problem is caused by one of these 2 devices because when I disable the Controllers in FSX, the spinning stops and slew mode works just fine. I've already read reports that the controller need to be calibrated and that is not the problem here. They have all been calibrated and the controls work just fine, and I don't see what calibration has to do with this problem. Every time I want to make adjustments in the GSX program,…

Hi guys, I'm Max I fly from Rome, Italy on FS2020. I'm an old (well not that much, I'm 51 actually) simmer, starting to fly Flight Simulators since the 80s when they were just some vector graphics and a few colors. I fly mainly DCS with an x56, but i'm now happily taking on FS2020 and I would like to make a better experience out of it with a solid Yoke/throttle system. I recently bought a Logitech Yoke but I'm not very happy with the pitch accuracy and the center detent "click" so I'm returning it. I have alternatives and I'm asking your opinion and advice: - Honeycomb Alpha: very bulky but I read nice reviews, and it comes with start-up switches.…

  5. I don't use pedals but use a trim wheel for rudder. I'm considering a Fulcrum yoke, however it's missing an analogue or even digital trigger switch. My Saitek has the trigger button on the left which I have used for braking and am happy with it.

Greetings All, I have been looking for a way to buy another throttle lever head to use for three engines. I know you can move the spoiler or flap head around as you like. I want to add another throttle head in the spoiler's position. I have yet to find a place to purchase one. Rick

Hi, I have an FDS FMC which I used to use with the I/O board, unfortunately, they no longer support it. Can anyone recommend a I/O board that has the software to program the board after its wired? Thanks, Karl

Reviews look good except many complain of stickie pitch in the yoke. Some say it gets better with time, but this is a chronic issue w/ my Saitek yoke that does not get better over time. If you have this device what's your sense about this particular issue? The rest of it seems great including the TQ, especially for my small desk area. I'm also looking at TCA Boeing which by all accounts works great as a yoke but the TQ leaves some to be desired. Honeycomb Yoke also looks good for smooth pitch control but its TQ won't fit in my work/play space. Thanks in advance

  9. Hi, I just got the Logitech G flight yoke system but have a very tough time organizing/assigning the buttons. Are there any profiles I can download for this yoke? Would very much appreciate your help. Bernd

My desk is fairly full already, so I've been looking for a simple way to add a steering tiller. I don't have a true to scale home cockpit, so have just been looking for a simple knob to use. I've found a number of volume controllers for PC, some of which look appealing in foot print such as this one: https://www.amazon.com/LITROK-Controller-Computer-Multimedia-Adjuster/dp/B07GR78PCK/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=usb%2Bvolume%2Bcontrol&qid=1652547013&sprefix=usb%2Bvolume%2Bcont%2Caps%2C88&sr=8-4&th=1 The problem is that these are going to come preset with firmware to manage Windows volume, where as we need it to show up as an HID to assign it in MSFS. Do…

Has anyone managed to use CP flight CDU737 with PMDG 737 in FS2020? I know that the CDU 737 PRO version works, but I have not seen that anyone has confirmed that the CDU 737 works. Tor Arild Danielsen

  13. Good day folks, After a solid 10 plus years, my rudder pedals have decided to start acting up, I’m in the market for some new ones and not having really looked at a set of pedals in that timeframe, looking to see what’s available now a days that works decent as a budget priced set of pedals. Any recommendations (budget priced)? Cheers!

hello everyone, I have all my controls ( tca airbus quadrant, warthog stick, Logitech pedals) all connected to a usb hub which is connected to the pc via 3.0. I am suffering lag / freeze of the tca and rudder pedals ( but strangely not the Warthog), i have set power and /sleep for usbs in bios and windows correctly so the pc doesn't turn them off to conserve power, i have also gone into device manager and power management of the usbs and made sure the pc doesn't turn off any usb ports in there , I have a 750 EVGA psu powering the pc, oh and to add i changed the power plan to performance , but its still happening , the usb hub is new, i changed it because i thought that …

This seems relatively new. Attempting to view the Goflight website yields this; "Account has been suspended". Probably a poor sign for those of us who would have liked so see the company return to production and support. https://www.goflightinc.com/cgi-sys/suspendedpage.cgi Perhaps someone else here is more familiar with the company owner(s) and can add a clarification? 17. Started happening yesterday. All fine to begin with, but after a while everything is unresponsive. The mouse cursor works fine in the cockpit, click spots all work, but holding the right button to scroll around the cockpit doesn't work. I can use the mouse pointer to move the throttle/props/mixture, but my Saitek throttle, Alpha yoke, keyboard, pedals doesn't work at all. If I go into control options, everything's there, all buttons, and axis's show up fine, but resume the flight, and none of my hardware works. Happened with the PMDG 737 first, so switched to the Caranado C337, but still the same. Reboot the sim, and they'll all work fine for a while - then…

Hello, I'm considering a ffb/control loading yoke. I'm aware of the Brunner. Just wondering if anyone has info on PFC yokes in particular Cirrus Cessna Desktop Yoke - Precision Flight Controls (flypfc.com). I actually have an older PFC Saab yoke which is not FFB but I noticed they seem to sell control loading now. Also what other ffb yokes are there..?

  19. When MSFS first came out I sorted the controls out but I only allowed for the use of 1 Throttle Quadrant on my Thrustmaster Warthog controller. I am now looking to using both Throttle quadrants on my trusty Warthog to add realism to multi engine aircraft flying but I have no idea how to do this within the MSFS setup. If anyone could provide advice on how to do this or provide a link to an on line video "How to" I would be most grateful.

  20. Hi everyone, I am seriously thinking of buying a set of Thrustmaster TPR pendular rudder pedals. My only question is will I be OK using them with Ubuntu Linux? I want to use them with Flightgear flight simulator running on Ubuntu 22.04. I'm fine with calibrating them with jstest-gtk and creating an xml file for Flightgear, but I need to know that they will present themselves OK to linux e.g. as a typical HID input device not needing drivers etc. Please help, I've looked all over the internet and cannot find confirmation of this. I would be ok with attaching them to a Windows PC to perform any internal/firmware adjustments, but need to use them with Ubuntu for flight …

It's a 75% keyboard. That refers to 3/4 long and 3/4 tall compared to standard full size keyboard. its's just under 14" long compared to a just under 18" full size KB. It does have a full number pad. This is great if you are using the number pad keys for your custom views. Most small keyboards do not have a number pad. 3 power modes: USB dongle wireless, bluetooth wireless, or USB cable (cable is USB C on the KB end, regular USB A on computer end). No batteries. On wireless you temporarily plug it in to a USB socket on computer or a mains wall USB plug to recharge. ==> Red Dragon software: Notice in the video at 3:45 how you can make any key a cer…

"USB-C or "Micro USB" refers to the end of the cable that plugs into the controller box. The other end of the cable that plugs into the desktop is a normal USB A plug on both versions. I buy from Etsy all the time. At least as reliable as eBay, in fact more reliable than eBay, in my experience. These are made in the United KIngdo. Shipping to USA is 2 weeks to arrive and costs $28 (Link to product page on Etsy is below the video on Youtube comment section)

Hi Guys, Looking for a little help or advice regarding the rudder calibration on my Hotas X.This wasnt an issue to start off with but now its becoming a right pain. I need to calibrate the rudder on the joystick at least 2 or 3 times a day while using P3Dv5 to stop any of my planes constantly turning to the right or left during taxi this effects both default and payware aircraft. Once it is calibrated from within P3D it will work fine for a few minutes then it seems to lose the calibration again. This is an ongoing battle im having with it just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to fix it. With Thanks Gary Jones.
