I just got the HF8 gaming pad for my VR sim setup for mostly airliner flying. Im using it with the simhaptic app. Its a cool effect, but the thing that I am missing most from it is when the intensity of the effect increases all it does is just vibrate at a higher frequency. The sensations felt in a real airplane, especially and airliner are more of a shake than a vibration, and that is what im missing. When going from light turb to moderate the "punch" should get stronger, not just speed up. Has anyone owned the buttkicker and the HF8, is the buttkicker better for what I want it to do? Is it possible to use both and send some effects to the hf8 and others to the bu…

Hi, so I‘m currently using the Thrustmaster Warthog base with a A320 stick from flightsimprojects. Now I‘m thinking about switching to a Virpil WarBRD base and since the website states it is compatible with Thristmaster grips, I wonder if my A320 stick will then fit on there too. Flightism projects sell separate A320 sticks for both bases, so it would seem the one doesn’t fit the other, but since Virpil says TM sticks will fit, I am confused. Does anyone know? Thanks Stu PS: I of course also asked the guys at flightsimprojects, but they (suspiciously 🙂 ) never responded.

My trusty X52, after almost 15 years of honorable service, is starting to show the first symptoms of failure. I don't want to suddenly find myself without HOTAS but I have a thousand doubts about replacing it. I was pretty sure about buying the X56 but I read too many negative reviews that filled me with doubts and I can't find a valid alternative that doesn't cost a fortune. I only use MSFS, no DCS or space simulators. No GA, no VFR but I change planes often, ATR, Boeing, Airbus, BAe, CRJ and hopefully Dash8 in the future. Any advice, opinion and criticism is welcome.

I have a Logitech 3d Pro joystick, now about 3 years old. Just recently I have been experiencing problems with taxi manoeuvres. The plane (PMDG 747-400) pulls slightly to the right when taxiing and has to have opposite left rudder to correct it. The calibration screen shows that when the steering/rudder is straight, the Joystick is slightly off centre, to the right. I have done all the expected things: deleted P3D.cfg, removed Joystick from Device manager and re-installed, tried to calibrate in FSUIPC and changed the USB port but none of it has fixed the problem. The funny thing is that I have at least now, after all the attempts, got full movement of …

Hi Guys, My Thrustmaster T16000.M FCS Joystick has just packed it in and I'm now after a new joystick. Have any of you folks used either of the above sticks and if so, what are they like? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Many thanks. Paul

Hello, I am unfortunately stuck with Logitech rudder pedals for a while and they suck. Besides the fact that the brake pedals have no resistance, the rudder axis feels very rough and clunky and it's difficult to make small, fine adjustments without overdoing it and it gets frustrating. I plan to upgrade but it will be a while so in the meantime I was just wondering and hoping if anyone has found a way to make the rudder axis action more smooth and realistic? I'm very open to trying different things, anything to make them work a little better.

I'm trying to figure out if the bravo is worth getting. So I watched truckloads of YT videos and I'm not any wiser. Most of the videos seem to be sponsored and not so credible. Many of those youtubers claim the product is very good and good quality and sturdy whatever yet when they move the levers the quaadrant seem to be moving around as if it was a cheap a. plastic toy. Any of you honeycomb users will to share some honest opinion on the bravo ? Thanks

Using MSFS on a PC. My current stick/throttle are pretty shot there where the thrustmaster hotas one or something very similar. Right now I fly the fenix a320 quite a bit. In the future I will be flying pmdg aircraft and I have the comanche 250 and will probably pick up the tbm 850 at some point. I was thinking about getting thethrustmaster tca officer pack. Is there a different product I should look at? Not trying to break the bank but I can get the officer pack for around $140 which seems reasonable. Just not sure how well it will work with non airbus planes or if its more of a gimmick and there is a better product to pick up for flying. I don't have rudder pedals. May…

Hello: I have a Thrustmaster Airbus sidestick...Somewhere in several moves to new homes I have lost the little conversion kit that allows left-handed use of the sidestick...I have emailed Thrustmaster on several occasions but so far, no joy...Does anyone out there know of a source of the little left-handed kit? Thanks for your assistance...

This has probably been asked before, so I apologize for not finding a definitive answer yet. I have the GoFlight LTG, which has landing gear handle, flaps and trim. Also the older MCP that has the black faceplate. These are the only two I'd like to work. Which is easier--Spad or Polypot? I'd like to not have to do a bunch of programming. Any of these (or others) plug and play? Thanks much!

Hi all, With Christmas looming up and my family never knowing what to buy me, I’ve decided that my aged Saitek Pro yoke is getting a bit long in the tooth (a bit like me). I intend to keep the Saitek rudder pedals which I am happy with. I’d appreciate any suggestions/opinions from the community as to what would be a good replacement for it. Price is not entirely an issue as long as it’s not exorbitant, but I’d probably stretch a bit if the product seemed much better than other contenders. I am an MSFS user these days and my aircraft of choice that I use regularly are the PMDG 737, FBW Airbus A320 and the Cessna 172 for my VFR flying. Obviously the Boeing an…

So, long story short, been trying this out for a few days. I have my settings configured as per the Fenix KB article here:https://kb.fenixsim.com/honeycomb-bravo-setup Now, that works perfectly with the FBW and Fenix throttles, but with the PMDG B737, I can't get it to "hold reverse thrust" and allow me to use the throttle levers to control reverse thrust as per the setup. So far I've just tried the 737, all the mappings are the same and while it is a different set of handles, it still presses buttons 10/11 when I pull the reverser handles, but moving the throttles forward seems to take it back out of reverse and applies normal power. Any thoughts? I'm using a …

If I purchased the thrustmaster tca throttle quadrant on its own, then purchased the sidestixk X are they compatible? Cheaper to buy them individually vs as a package?! There’s no quadrant x is there?

I have had FSX linking to five Arduino boards (2 UNOs and 3 Megas) using Link2FS to run all the instruments and radios in my sim. Now I'm upgrading the computer and Link2FS has a consistent error when used on Windows 10 or 11 ("Master file not found"). I've heard there is a fix for this but can't find it. So, what are folks using to interface between FSX and Arduino boards?

Knobster is useful even if you do not own Air Manager (payware) and even if you do not fly in VR. Here is YT video showing how helpful it is. It's a way to tune radio dials and other cockpit things that normally require moving the mouse center wheel.

I use an 13 years old saitek throttle quadrant for flying. It's getting shaky. Especially on the Fenix this is annoying, because it doesn't stay on CLB and adjustments on final approach are barely possible. Sometimes it work quite well but often it the parameters are going up and down with me using the throttle. Is there a fix for this? I already have calibrated it via windows. Maybe it's because I hadn't used them for many years and they were in the basement (though protected from dusk).
