Just got a notice from Madcatzstore that my pre-order Saitek X-55 Rhinos HOTAS has shipped. Definitely some mixed feelings out there from those who received this product in February and March. Hoping for the best! Not actually sure why I needed this HOTAS since my CH Combat stick and pro throttle are just fine... but somehow I feel an uncontrollable compulsion to "feed the passion".

Hello, I'm currently using a Saitek throttle. I've had it for about 7 years, but it is finally acting up (the axes are moving all over the place) to the point that I can't use the mixture lever at all, and i have to use significant dead zones at both ends of my left and middle levers to avoid spiking. So now i want to replace this unit. I've been looking at either the CH Products throttle quadrant or two Saitek throttles (I've made the decision I want six levers total). Lately even after I calibrate my pedals when they are in neutral position the pedals wiggle back and forth very rapidly you can see them flip back and forth when looking at the tail in spot view and makes it real hard to fly .- I believe they call it joystick noise. I tried setting rudder spike in FSUIPC but no difference . Maybe they are wore out . Was wondering if I should spray some contact cleaner in side . if they are worn out I'm gonna go with Precision flight controls for pedals. Any ideas,? cause I'm out of them thanks. Louis

I've got a setup with 4 Saitek panels and for the aircrafts I set up so far, everything works fine, all functions on the panels work as they should. Now I want to set up a new aircraft, the Carenado C90B and all for sudden, the aircraft doesn't respond to most control inputs. The radios work, the flaps control works, but all the other buttons don't give any response in the virtual cockpit at all. What can I do to get the standard functions of my panels to work with the C90B? I work with Windows7, FSUIPC4 and P3D 1.4 and the panels I'm using are 2x radio panel, multi panel and switch panel, with SPAD

I have Saitek multi panel and radio panel. Suddenly the led numeral panel will not light on the multi panel but the other buttons such as NAV, APP, ALT etc. all work and function. The radio panel functions properly.. Both panels work but cannot get the readout on the multi panel. It was working fine for a couple of years even after upgrading to Windows 8 but suddenly it will not light. Have switched USB ports but still have the problem. I am running SPAD and do not have Saitek installed. Could it be the panel LED is bad. Open to any ideas. Thanks

Hey all, Just getting back into simming and annoyingly my old X52-pro is broken, as I packed it poorly when moving home. I am not into any twitchy aircraft and am looking for a cheap, effective method for airliner control. I know the Boeing aircraft use yolks but for now a cheap joystick will do. Does anybody have experience with the aforementioned device - and is it okay for controlling large heavies? I understand the rudder is on the throttle which, in theory, sounds okay...But is it as intuitive as a twist rudder? Hope you can offer some advice!

I am having a problem were when i first start the sim the trottles work fine running through fsuipc to fsx but as usually fsx forgets about my joystick with the throttle and the airbus is not able to see the throttle any more. So, i have read the manual and tried install reinstall and try to program the throttles through fsuipc totally but no luck. Does any one know the official fix for this darn throttle thing.

To all, Anyone know of a program that will read the appropriate FSX config files and then present a list of all the current key assignments? If no, is there a graceful (fast / easy) way of determining the current key assignments; other than looking them up in the FSX Options\Controls list in the simulator? Thank you, Ken

I've encountered issues setting up the X55 Rhino with FSX and mainly settign up axis and buttons with FSUIPC, and with the help of Pete Dowson and a bit of luck I must say I've come to a solution so I'm making a topic here so that it might serve other using the same hardware. Hello, I have recently re installed my windows partition on my computer and I have started the process of installing all of my content back on to the drive. After a few hours I finished and went to go install the drivers for my x52 flight control system. When I got to the device selection page it just sits there waiting to pick up a device while my device is plugged in. I am having a few issues with the X52 pro and need help re-configuring it. 1. I can see 2 sets of installations as follows : One instance on C:\program files\Saitek One instance on C:\program files (x86)\Saitek Is this correct? 2. I am not able to get the trim wheel on the throttle to work. FSUIPC does not recognise it at all. The test page on the devices and printers however respond to the movement of the trim wheel. I have read a few posts somewhere where folks are using the trim wheel on the throttle as a elevator trim. 3. The NAV and the COM on the MFD respond to the changes on the panel in the aircraft. I have a CH Fighterstick and the Throttle quadrant and the CH pedals. I have them all plugged into a hub which comes back and plugs into my cpu. All was well then I had to reinstall the operating system and all my programs. From then on, each time I start FSX, the controllers do not work until I unplug and re plug in the hub into the usb on the cpu. Is there a work around for this - It's no big deal, but its just a bit annoying. Thanks in advance!! Donn

I bought a top of the line system four years ago , installed it then let it sit until now. I originally had Saitek Pro yoke and Pedals, now I have a PFC airliner yoke. I also purchased a Goflight airliner module including all the radios, swithches, throttle quadrant etc. Problem is I cannot seem to set up the controls to work under the settings . My older versions of MSfs never had this issue that I recall, this X version is unnessarily complicated . Right now my PFC yoke is not working even though it is shown in the list and I have calibrated the same. I've installed windows 7 on my macbook pro, but when I plugin my joystick, the system doesn't work well, I can't either logoff/shut down the computer or re-install the driver of the joystick, and also can't run FSX/FS9. Trouble getting Bip to work in fsx,spent 3 days with Saitek help trying to get Bip to respond to switch panel ,all lights come on in editor ,but no lights come on when in fsx,loaded USIPC and tried that but no help,anybody know a fix or maybe i got a bad unit ….

Hi Guys, I am a student pilot, learning to fly in the Cessna 172R. I have the saitek cessna pro flight yoke and throttle quadrant (why the heck did they ship it with a quadrant and not a TPM like the cessna has by the way ). I have the pro flight rudder pedals, trim wheel, the multi panel, the switch panel and the radio panel. I have a lot of spare buttons. namely the rocker buttons on the yoke and the switches below the throttles. (I also have a pitch trim on the multi panel and a elevator trim wheel - aren't these the same thing? can i remap the pitch trim to something else?) Hey folks, tomorrow I will get TrackIR 5, but the man that i am buying it from doesn't have clip pro in stock and he will have in a week or so. he told me that i don't have to use clip pro to get track IR working, and when he will get that I'll take it. I have tried to ask the difference with and without, and handed up getting dizzy. so I'll ask you guys please help me to understand, what does the clip pro add? cheers.

Hi Could someone on this forum be so kind, to help me get my Goflight MCP-PRO up running ? I've had some conversation on the Pollypot-Software forum, but i don't get any wiser. Is there someone here who have used this programme, and programmed the MCP working together with e.g. PMDG 747 ? I would really appreciate a simple explaination on how to do it. I have used the Detective tool, monitoring all Events and Lvars, created a new Bespoke Event, but from here it stops. Looking foreward to hear from you
