Connected a Saitek TPM to my computer and installed SPAD drivers. It appears these switches were installed such that "ON" is in the down position. Is that normal? I would like to use those switches to enable the comm/nav push butnos on the radio stack (Com 1, Com 2, Both, Nav 1, Nav 2, MKR, DME, ADF). I assigned tiles to my BIP (with which I'm also having problems) to keep track of what's on/off. In FSUIPC, I can't seem to find the FS functions that correspond to those cockpit push buttons. Is there a complete glossary of all the functions contained within FSUIPC? I've seen a simple list, but no explanation of what each function actually does. Thoughts…

  3. I have been content with saitek drivers till now.. they have worked for me but I notice that when I switch the radio panel from com1 to com2 the BIP tiles dont switch to reflect that (same with Nav1 and Nav2). The BIP only responds to the Com and Nav buttons in the 2D and 3D cockpit (Baron 58 and variations) Does anyone who has SPAD running their panels have the same issue or does SPAD enable the BIP to interract with the radio panel settings.

  4. I have a Saitek Switch Panel - all switches and gear work, but the engine knob does nothing... However, the problem is occurring only with my FS9 based aircraft. Is there a modification that I need to make in the "aircraft.cfg", or ".air" file, or is there a particular gauge I need to bridge this apparent disconnect between my aircraft and engine start knob?.. something the FSX default aircraft have that my old FS9 aircraft do not? I know my best solution is to get rid of the old aircraft, and that is my next move if there's no easy fix. Thanks.

I recently purchased the Redbird Cygnus Home Direct cable and software for my FSX and iPad. I cannot seem to get the Cygnus software to find my FSX software therefore, the cable doesn't "trick" the iPad into believing that my foreflight is really where I am in the FSX. No type of support so far that I can find through Redbird other than a support email and a phone number but I don't have time to call 8-5 M-F so I am trying to find a solution. Anybody tried or even heard of this cable connection? Thanks Sean

  6. Hi guys, With the death of XP in the last week or so, I finally pryed my hands off my credit card and bought a new PC. A spiffy and very powerful Lenovo X510. One thing however, I have for many years used my thrustmaster F22 joystick and TQS throttle quadrant (with digital Stickworks eproms). These suckers are the best ever made in my humble opinion. I hate to lose them. However, they have a 15 pin D connector which I supported previously by keeping around an absolutely antique turtle beach sound card. I managed to find on line a 15 pin D connector to USB adaptor, and thought that would be my saving grace. however, that doesnt seem to work. For this …

Hello, I just got the Saitek pro flight pedals today as a birthday gift, but i can't get them to work. When i start the driver installation from the provided CD, and click next, this appears: Please plug in the controllers you want to update. Then i plug in the pedals's usb in to the yoke housing, but it's not possible to click next. I have tried every single usb port on my computer, included the 3 on the yoke housing, but it's not possible to click next in any of them. So i am stuck, witout the driver installation i cannot use them. Has anyone else had this problem? And maybe have a fix for it? Greatly appreciated! Cheers, Kim.

  8. I'm looking into the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke plus 2 throttle quadrants and rudder pedals. Does anybody have these and would they recommend them? Any longevity issues? Ease of setting up? Also what's the depth of the yoke, as in how much does it overlap on your desk when attached? Any insight would be appreciated before I blow the best part of £300 on these things!

I'm trying to get my Saitek switch panel to work with certain 3rd party add ons (namely majestic q400 and eaglesoft citation x). The gear lever works but none of the switches work. I have the Spad drivers installed and also have a registered copy of FSUIPC. I tried programming the switches through FSUIPC but they don't appear to be recognized. Is there a good way to to do this? Perhaps LINDA? Todd

  10. in the yoke of of saitek I noticed that three keys that move right left / top down They have a guide or you can / need to define what will be using them? It's possible to put elevator TRIM? And flaps? And one of them will control the rudder? It could be that I get it Can possibly (if you can not define offsets In The Yoke) fly without elevator trim? That it will not be comfortable keyboard every second click, same thing with flaps and rudder, How do I set you in the yoke of? Or should I buy the elevator trim separate pedals and Table AP? Thanks for helpers

My Saitek Yoke is ready to retire. Instead of continuing with the cheap Yokes, I was thinking of buying a PFC Yoke https://www.flypfc.com/?/products/yokes/cirrus-beech-yoke1/ Has anyone tried this Yoke? Does it feel like more realistic? Does it work with prepar 3D?

  14. Hello, I have a problem with my Saitek Rudder Pedals. When I apply the toe brakes, I can't release them. BRAKES is displayed on the bottom left of the screen even when my feet aren't on the pedals. The only way to release them is by setting and releasing the parking brake. Can anyone help me?

HI All, I have been using a Saitek X52 Pro along with Radio panel, multi panel & switch panel for some time without any issues whatsoever. Spad is controlling the hardware. Just lately randomly during a flight everything flashes and the panels all go out. On my joystick the mfd goes out then comes back on again. Sometimes I loose control of the joystick completely. I uninstalled Spad then re installed it again and I thought the problem was fixed. Yesterday I brought and installed the excellent Dash 8 Q400 and now the problem seems to be back. I just did a test flight this time I quit Spad before starting FSX and flew a 1.5 hour trip without problems. I am kind…

Good news for cockpit builders:Herewith allow themselves OpenCockpits (http://www.opencockpits.com) and me to announce that my driver developed for the OpenCockpits CDU B737 with the Boeing PMDG 737-800/900 is available since 2010/02/17 in the download area of OpenCockpits. The driver contains, on the one hand, the transference of the keystrokes of the CDU to the FMS of the PMDG 737 as well as an external CDU display which is pulled on the screen of the OpenCockpits CDU. Refused on account of the fact that PMDG still the passing on of a SDK, the announcement part of the PMDG CDU-Panels on one of the connected monitor must be visible, ideally on a part of a monitor which i…

  20. I'm stumped. I bought it, and experienced this first thing. So I tried connecting it to a different PC--same outcome. So I ordered a replacement--same outcome. So apparently I'm doing something wrong as I don't find comment about this anywhere in my web search. I chose not to install the Smart Technology software (I think it's called) as I've seen some comments that no drivers are required. And indeed-it works perfectly...as long as I pull the USB connector out, and put it back in. Doesn't matter which of the 3 different USB ports I've tried this in either. FWIW, I have FSUIPC installed, and have had the boxes relating to disconnecting the elevator trim when the …

  21. This joystick was working perfectly before I reinstalled Windows 7. Now FSX and Win7 will not recognise it. Device manager list three things under Other Devices, Universal Serial Bus Controller (No Driver), Eternet Controller (No Driver), and Unknown Device(No Driver) I have reinstalled all the USB Drivers from my Gigabyte MB cd, tried unplugging the joystick from the usb port, restarting, shutting down the computer and plugging back in to the usb connection. Tried every Microsoft fix I could find plus their Fix It program. It says it cannot find a driver as does Windows 7. I've been thru ten pages of searches about here on the forum, so far no luck. This problem has t…

Has anyone any idea why every single day, without fail, all of a sudden the display goes opaque and all I see is these little pink square blotches all over the display, then the screen goes blank, then it kicks in, then I get a message box in the taskbar that Nvidia had a problem with Kernel Mode Driver. Just done a search on MS' Knowledgebase, found 64-bit driver but it then tells me it is already installed. Using Nvidia 327.23 drivers, so what gives here? Is it my Gigabyte 560Ti card that Gigabyte in the Ca., USA just parceled and sent back minus the original packaging when I sent it to back to them under warranty, or is it something else? This is now beginning to get r…

Should additional power be required on the Pro Flight with the yoke, pedals, and two throttle quadrants connected together? I have just added a second throttle quadrant and when I power on the PC initially the set lights up, but after a few seconds it goes dark and just the light (coincidentally on the new quadrant) flashes regularly. I will try and find a 5v 1.5 amp adapter but I am wondering if I should need it? Thanks Nigel P.S. If I remove the additional quadrant the set works OK (after rebooting the PC) P.P.S. I assume I could connect the 2nd quadrant to a socket on the PC meantime?

  25. Hi, I having a problem with my Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback 2. When I press buttons 3 or 4, which are the trim controls, the trim indicator starts to move on its own and will not stay where I want it. It's either all the way to one end. I was flying the Cessna 172 and when I brought up the radio stack, I noticed that the auto-pilot was turned on or engaged, and that seems to explain why the indicator was moving on its own so I turned off or disengaged the auto-pilot. When I press the buttons 3 or 4 again, the auto-pilot also re-engaged. For some reason, buttons 3 and 4 are performing 2 functions at the same time and I can't understand why. I checked the assignment…
