Hello All, I've had the saitek throttle for years now and ended up adding a second one recently. I'm wanting to map the throttle, through a registered version of FSUIPC, to PMDG 777. The PMDG 777 documentation does not recommend doing this. I was wondering if anyone has done this and if there were any issues. I came across a thread on avsim that led me to believe it may be possible. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/421242-saitek-throttle-reverse-issues/ At this point, I would be happy to have just the throttle and not too worried about reverse thrusters. Thanks for any insight. CK

Hi all,I've been giving alot of thought to picking up the new Backlit Information Panel (BIP) from Saitek, but I've read that several folks have had issues with it locking up, and not lighting up the lights correctly. Obviously, this has had me hesitate on pulling the trigger and ordering one of these. So for folks that have it already, are any of you running it without problems with the original drivers, and for those who have had it crashing, have the panel crashing and lighting problems been resolved with the new driver that Saitek released today? (Link to the post about the new drivers below:)http://www.saitekforum.com/showthread.php?p=88957#post88957I just want to ma…

Hello, I got the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke, which comes with the quadrant for Throttle/Prop/Mix. All good so far, but I would light to program the 6 small switches on the quadrant to control the light switches (Beacon, Nav, taxi, landing, Strobe, ...) on my Bonanza F33A. Unfortunately, when I go in settings/buttons in FSX I don't see listed most of these lights (I think I see only NAV and Landing), so I don't know how to make the assignment virtual-switch to physical-button for all the others... Any help, please? Thanks!

Before doing a routine upgrade of my system (MB Graphics RAM etc.) my Saitek pedals worked great. Never a problem from them. After restoring everything after the rebuild, the pedals started acting screwy. The brakes tend to remain on after actuating either differential braking, and/ or regular braking. To release them I have to engage the parking brake and release it. This is particurally annoying on landing, as you can imagine. I have everything set up in settings as it was before the rebuild. I've contacted Satek, and they went thru their scenario with me and told me the pedals are working like they're supposed to. Also I have to go back and recalibrate the pedals every…

I have installed all of my devices into the FSX and was able to troubleshoot everything to get it to work by reading different posts, except for the trim wheel. I am able to use it normal during pitch up operation, but pitching down it jumps from the neutral position directly to up which causes the aircraft to dive down. I have checked all key assignments and I also set sensitivity to high and null zone to 0 Any Help There, Here is a video post

Just picked this up for $50 from Fry's electronics in my local area. Not sure why I waited so long ... what a huge difference it makes over using a lever axis. The precision with the trim wheel is so much more precise, amazing! Highly recommend for those who may not already have one. Cheers, Rob.

I recently bought a CH throttle quadrant, but I'm having some trouble with calibrating the right throttle lever. I've got the latest CH drivers installed and I calibrate it in FSUIPC 4.931 by moving the levers up, set the top value, then moving the levers down and setting the idle value. The values from both throttle levers differ, but I guess that should be solved by the calibration, but when moving the right throttle lever to idle, the value is very 'jumpy', I don't get one steady value, it keeps jumping up and down. I tried to set a value for it, but in the virtual cockpit the right throttle lever is also jumpy, it keeps moving in idle position and when I move both th…

When using the native P3D controller setup to assign axes and buttons on the stick and throttle I have no issues, all works very well. When using the HUD software the buttons can be assigned in this software and are shown to function in the test mode but when I attempt to load the profile into P3D to use the HUD setup for stick and throttle unit, P3D does not register the profile and the buttons on both the stick and throttle fail to work. The controller portion in the prepar3d.cfg file still refers to the STANDARD.XML for both default and current file usage. Should this change to reflect the input of a new HUD profile to control the stick and throttle? Anyone else having…

Hi guys, For the last year I have run into this problem and I get a bit annoyed by it. Whenever I reboot my PC I have to re-calibrate the saitek yoke and re-assign the settings of buttons and switches in FSX. Is there a simple solution or this? (even the solution that my FSX settings will be preserved after a reboot would greatly help)

A good day to you, collegues ! I used for years the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke system with extra throttle quadrant configured TT-PP-MM. As I am not pleased with the yoke any more I want to replace it for a solo Thrustmaster Warthog Joystick because of his excellent quality and two Saitek Throttle quadrants. I fly only 2 engine planes from Duke B60 to Boeing 777. What do you think, will this configuration work for me ? I will appreciate your reaction. Ben

Hi Folks Newbie to AVsim, and fairly new to FSX, but have a problem with my Saitek Instrument Panels... I have 6 of them, and have plugged 3 each, into 2 D-Link powered 7 port USB hubs, but am finding that when flying in FSX, 4 of them keep freezing/locking up, some do it until I close FSX and some do it for a few minutes then start working again... Its really annoying, and of course, un-usable like this... Anybody got any advice or help on what might be causing the panels to keep freezing up during flight or what I could do to stop it happening? Thanks, really appreciate having such a huge community I can come to for some help :-)

I am currently flying the PMDG 737 pm FSX. I have noticed at random times in the flight the joystick completely locks up in Virtual cockpit and I have to switch to 2D Cockpit. Is this because the normal wear and tear of the joystick over many years or a software issue? Unplugging the joystick and plugging it back in does not work. It takes a complete restart of FSX for this to happy. I do run in Windowed mode with a 3 monitor set up. I click in and out of the sim like most of us do to access ASN, EFB, charts, etc. Thank you, Abe

So I have recently upgraded to the following - Pro flight yoke Saitek switch panel Saitek multi panel Saitek pro flight rudder/brake pedals Whilst I appreciate that this has been documented beforeI wanted to share my experiences as no matter how many times I search I never find the answers - or so it seems. So, I have encountered the following issues and these are my fixes. I had watched some tutorials online (frooglesim) which is hugely helpful. I have used FSUIPC in the past but took a break from Sim stuff for a fair few years. Back with a vengeance! Initially I wanted to get used to new controls by using the stock FSX Skyhawk Cessna. Followed…

Does the multi panel have an impact on frame rates? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi - I have Saitek yoke, throttle, trim, rudder, 2 radio panels, switch panel and multi-panel. I fly Cessna 172 default aircraft in FSX. I have basic FSUIPC installed. PC o/s XP When I engage the Autopilot using the multi-panel button, the A/P features all function. However, when I switch off, using the multi-panel A/P button, the A/P doesn't switch off and I have to also use the mouse to switch off A/P on the on-screen fsx console. This is irritating and of course I would like the multi panel button to do the job on its own. Anyone help please. regards Dennis - (novice simmer)

Anyone out there with the Cessna Pro Flight yoke have slight wiggle on their roll axis. I like the yoke but the wiggle or deadzone moves about 3mm which can be a bit distracting. The pitch is tight but their isn't any movement without firm pressure. Is this a defective yoke? Common and are there any fixes?

Hello All, Has anyone had the issue of excessive play in the yoke? From a hardware standpoint? When center, I can actually turn the yoke a "bit" maybe half an inch to the left and right before I feel any resistance. Its not much but just enough to wonder. I've had this yoke for a few years now and was wondering if it has time for a new one. Thanks All!

Initially calibrated in Windows no problem. In Prepar 3D 2.2 ,a few airplanes felt a little slow in roll and elevator response so I decided to calibrate it using the PFC calibration utility from the CD, After I did the calibration following the steps, now Windows still recognized the Yoke , but when I go to windows calibration, it wont recognized it, under the calibration window I move the axes and nothing happens. When I start Prepar 3D or X plane the yoke axis are not recognized either. If I start the PFC Test utility axes are moving fine and smooth. If I recalbrate using the utility from PFC axes are recognized there too. Any ideas what went wrong…

Hey all, I just downloaded the new Vpilot for Vatsim and I love it so far. Unfortunately, I cannot hear the ATC over the game volume. I use the Turtle Beach x12 and they do have a chat control knob but it works with Xbox only. I run FSX on Win7 and wondering if anyone knows a work around? Maybe a way to control volume of each program independently in Win7 as I think Vpilot is separate to fsx. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hi all. Unfortunately I decided to buy a new (GREAT) PC with W8.1 64 bit OS and I am experiencing some problems with my favorite aircraft (Airbus A320 X Extended.) One of these is related to controller systems Saitek X52, Pro Flight Yoke System and Rudder Pedal. After 5-10 minutes, FSX does not recognize them and they disappeared from the FSX Control Options. I just can read my MOUSE as the only flight controller. To get them work, I have to turn off UAC rights or enable and quickly unable them; unfortunately, after a few minutes again, FSX does not see them and I have to repeat the process each time. I already installed the new official drivers from Saitek but…

I've had sooooo many little problems while I've been building my sim set up, but no matter how obscure, I've always found someone whose had the same problem. And everything got fixed somehow! The Saitek Switch Panel crashes to desk top within minutes of starting a flight. I can't seem to find a solution to this one at all and it currently sits unused on my sim desk as a nice looking ornament.... I love the thing when it does work, but can't risk CTDs in flight so its unused. If anyone has any advice, anything I can try, I'd me most grateful as always..!!
