  2. Hey everyone, My name is LPDAL and I am having a major problem with all of my Saitek Pro Flight Panels. My setup: -Lenovo K330-Core i7 2600 Ivy Bridge, Nvidia GT 545 1.5GB, 16GB DDR3 RAM -2x Pro Flight Yoke -2x Pro Flight Throttles -2x Pro Flight Rudder Pedals -2x Pro Flight Instrument Panels -Pro Flight Multipanel -Pro Flight Radio Panel -Pro Flight BIP Panel -Pro Flight Switch Panel. Before I added the BIP and instrument panels, the multipanel, radio panel, and switch panel all worked. Now the only panel that works are the two instrument panels. I tried installing the driver CDs and even the drivers on the saitek website to no avail. And I am not usi…

  4. Hi Simmers, I've had my Saitek yoke for about 2 years, trouble free, working great. The illuminated clock on the yoke is flickering. I've checked all cables and connections. The yoke works and the clock works , is there a way to fix the light or do I need to replace something? thanks, and good flights, Cal

Hello, I do not have a pedal system insalled on my pc. and i don't have enough budget to purchase either. in my country, car game pedals are quite cheaper than flight sim hardwares. therefore i consider buying a cheap car game pedal for fsx and dcs rudder functions. can they handle?

Hi all, My Saitek yoke has been randomly disconnecting and connecting. Not sure what brought this about. When this happens the yoke itself works but the PTT and Ezdok buttons do not. When opening the Saitek control panel I can see those buttons respond. I have checked my USB cable and it looks good.

  7. Started by flyforever,

It happened as a result of my doing something stupid: during a flight, I lost control of the aircraft and crashed. While FSX was trying to reset itself, I closed the program. Now all aircrafts have the throttles malfunctioning: they are stuck in reverse, and the movement is very erratic, full of wild swings. Essentially, they are not usable. I've done everything possible: 1. deleted registry files 2. recalibrated with and without fsuipc. Incidentally, calibration looks normal. The throttles move very nicely. 3. replaced controls.xml In sum, the joystick works normally in the calibration window, both in Windows and FSX. In FSX, all aircrafts starts with the throt…

Hi Folks, Been eye ball'n this switch panel for a nice addition to my CH Products HOTAS setup... The fact that it has buttons - toggles - rotary switches - and - sliders - makes it seem pretty appealing... Can anyone provide a PIREP on this product ? Are the switches of high quality that will stand up to years of use ? I guess this device is a simple joystick device meaning it can't be programmed like my CH Products devices - for example - there is no way to emulate keystrokes and such ? Regards, Scott

Hi all with the black Friday/cybe rmonday weekend upon us I'm thinking of getting a yoke system but a bit confused on what to get . I've looked at the saietek stuff which looks ok for my budget but am confused as which is better the Cessna or the pro ?Which is the newer? as prices on internet vary wildly hard to tell I fly mostly tubeliners and the occasional Cessna (a2a) help/advice would be greatly appreciated thanks rgds

  11. Started by gliderdriver,

Hiya I just bought one of these, with the brake lever attachment, second hand and I now think that maybe it's not compatable with Windows 7 32 bit or FSX. I've applied to join the DA Yahoo group, but thought I'd try here too. This is the earlier version, nylon sticks. The throttle lever is recognised when I attach it to 'engine' in FSX configuration menu, but neither mixture nor propellor control axis is recognised when I move the levers. The brake control axis has to be attached to a key press event, so Lord knows how I manage that, although I found that I could get an on/off/on effect when using FSUIPC. Could anyone please help an old fool out over this? Many thanks.

  12. I think I've got a controls issue and I need some help. I use Saitek Combat pro pedals. I've had them working fine for about two years. I set everything up as per their manual for FSX installation. Recently, though, when pressing both toe brakes simultaneously I get the red "Differential Brakes" message, INSTEAD of the usual "brakes" one. Is this a calibration thing or a hardware issue? When diff brakes shows up it's not actually applying full braking and most planes tend to be tricky to control. Any ideas?

  13. Started by RKillins,

I have both Saitek yoke and rudder controls for use with my FSX installation. I have been having issues with the toe brakes not disengaging on my Aerosoft Airbus Extended. Once applied, it appears I have to flip the parking brake on and off before I can gain any forward momentum again. I had this issue with other aircraft, and managed to solve the issue using this suggestion. Although configured according to the advice, this aircraft doesn't react the same as the others. One suggestion made by an individual in the Aerosoft home forums was to set up a small "null zone" in the brake pedals. What does this mean? How do I go about doing this? I don't use any of the co…

Hi, I am considering the Saitek Multi Panel to add to my setup and to increase immersion and realism. I am one of those simmers that loves complete accuracy such as PMDG. Before I take the plunge and purchase the panel, I'd like to hear from current owners please. I have the following questions to ask before buying: - Does the panel fully work with SPAD and PMDG? (A/T and all A/P functions working) - Can the sensitivity of the autopilot knob be changed to allow for faster autopilot functions? - Does it work with the LDS 767, all PMDG aircraft and Aerosoft Airbus X? - Is a fully registered FSUIPC version required to achieve the items mentioned above? T…

Hi Everyone, the last time I used avsim was around 2010. I'm now an electronic product designer and I'd just like to ask you all a few questions about my new product. I know how difficult it can be to start creating a home cockpit without any coding knowledge or without spending a fortune. My new product is an output board that syncs the users aircraft radio stack with up to 4 exterior displays such as 7 segment screens. The board also has an input for 30 on/off switches which the user can program through our software. The board also has inputs for up to 8 rotary encoders (4 double encoders). I'm manufacturing separate boards that have actual aircraft rotary encoders…

Hi Everyone I have just put a fresh FSX install onto my PC but having difficulties assigning axis to my Saitek Toe Brakes. It seems that when they get pressed they are activating the axis for the elevator and ailerons. Press the left toe brake and it is showing up as the x axis and press the right toe brake and it triggers the elevator axis obviously screwing things up badly. I did what I thought was a total clean of my system including formatting the drive fsx was installed on prior to the reinstall. I have tried deleting the newly installed FSUIPC and reinstalling - al to no avail. Is anyone aware of any other places FSUIPC has information tucked away apart from t…

Are there any games or simulators that will help you learn how to drive a manual transmission with the ch pedals? I do have the yoke as well if that makes any difference. Can I use a throttle to simulate the movement the stick shift?

  19. Hi all,If you own Cpflight's MCP, fly PMDG's 747X on FSX with FslLabs's driver, and you experience no problem then we need your help !! :)A lot of us experience stutters and micro-pauses that make using the MCP+driver almost impossible, which is a shame considering the price we've paid it. Therefore if you can take 2 minutes of your time to answer to following questions, it might help us find a solution. So we really need you here :) 1) which version of FSX do you run ? (RTM, SP1, SP2, Acceleration)2) Which OS do you run (windows XP, vista, Seven, another ? 32bits ? 64 bits) ?3) did you install FSX in the default directory of did you create your own ?4) did you instal…

  20. Are there any 'optical joysticks' in existance?I am finally needing a replacement for my Logitech Wingman extreme. It had problems with the twist shortly after I bought itbut I fixed that and its lasted many years.ive kinda lost the ability to do work like that and so Id like to just get agood joystick in the first place. one that wont developpotentiometer problems a few months after I buy it.Ill probably just get the latest Logitech becuase Im not willing to spend 200 dollars on a controller.Do they even make optical joysticks or any type of joystick that doesnt use potentiometers? If you have the latest "Logitech Wingman extreme 3D Pro", how long have you had it and d…

  21. Hi all ! I went to the product pages for most yoke manufacturers, but I miss important informations: - What's the technology for capturing the movements ? Optical sensors ? Magnetic sensors ? Or potentiometers ? - What's the resolution for all the axes ? - What's the latency ? http://www.chproducts.com/13-28677-Simulation-Products.php?prid=124 http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/yoke.html http://flypfc.com/?/products/yokes/cirrus-beech-yoke1/ http://vrinsight.com/public_html/index.php?module=Board&action=SiteBoard_1&iBrdNo=27&sMode=SELECT_FORM Would you buy hardware without knowing what's the technology inside ? //Moderator edit--solicitations for money are not permitted--please read the AVSIM TOS// The Oculus Rift (which I use to own) is hopeless in flight simming as you still need to refer to charts, PFD/ND, instruments, etc. I believe the CastAR (created by ex-Valve employees) will work as an *excellent* low cost 180 degree surround system without the nausea and focusing issues of the rift....and you can refer to your charts and instruments!

I want to create something equivalent to the GoFlight GF-RP48 Push Button Rotary panel only with eight rotary switches and no push buttons. The plan being that it will provide a way to ajust the Altimiter, Gyro, VORs, etc. without having to use a mouse. Some planes will use all eight rotarys, some less. I was able to order the encoder board from DesktopAviator, but am looking for a sutiable enclosure in which to house everything. I've found one, but am not completely satisfied with the size (too deep). I am hoping that someone on this forum might be able to steer me towards a source for one similar in size to the Saitek TPM, that being, roughly 11" wide, 3" …

Hey guys, so I got the X52 today and other than being physically awesome.. very comfortable to use and all.. I can't install the drivers.. like at all. Once i run any installer, be it from the CD or the Saitek website, the thing will fail as soon as DirectOutput gets installed, what follows is nightmare fuel, as the mouse ceases to function and the entire computer fraks itself up so much that recovery is only possible with a system restore... Anyone able to help me out? ;-; This didn't happen when i installed the yoke's drivers tho..

I wish my choice was clear, but there seem to be pros and cons to each. I'm having a real hard time deciding what to buy. I've had each of these solutions in my shopping cart and was unable to pull the trigger. I'm a relative newbie to FSX.. coming up on a year since I began. I'm partial to fighters, though I do fly a variety of aircraft (see the profile for details) so I really want a general purpose solution. I started with a low end Thrustmaster T-flight HOTAS mated with Saitek pedals. The HOTAS has served me well enough, but I want to move up to something more serious. I've poured over the reviews and forum remarks and it appears that the short list is: Saitek…
