Hi guys. I've recently built my new PC: i5-8600k MSI z370 Tomahawk DDR4 PC3200 2x4Gb Ram Gigabyte GTX 1070 8Gb to install Prepar3d and use 3 monitor. Now I'm thinking to add 1 or 2 monitors more where to display gauges or even the full panel, as you can see in this photo: Can suggest me how to do? I mean: - Can I use the same PC and GPU? - If yes, can I display the panel as a undocked window or do you have other solutions? - If not, do I need a second PC or just a second GPU in the same PC? Thank you very much for your precious assistance Best Regards Ales…

Yesterday I installed the latest NVidia GeForce Experience which includes a replacement for ShadowPlay. Subsequently when running FSX, I found that clicking on certain menu items resulted in FSX hanging In Task Manager, I found a few instanced of NVIDIA_SHADE.EXE running so I deleted those and FSX continued Today, I uninstalled GeForce Experience and FSX is back to normal

Hi all: I am in a quandary -- currently have a R9 270X with only 2 Gb of RAM. Unfortunately, the card is now running at 100% usage of the GPU and anywhere from 90-100% of the RAM which I am sure is affecting performance. I am a long time AMD (ex ATI) user but if it is time to look at jumping ship, I could. I have been looking at the Vega 56, the new GTX 1070ti and the Nvidia 1080. But I haven't seen any flight sim reviews on the Vega performance. Any insight one could provide would be highly appreciated! Please don't start a AMD vs Nvidia flame war. Also, I am using https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html to compare performance. Unfortunately …

Hi, I just installed a LG 34uc79g-b monitor with a native resolution of 2560x1080 pixels. I read now in the forum that guys are running this monitor with a resolution of 3440x1980. How do you set this resolution up? (Graphic Card?) My system: WIN10; I5-6600; MoBo: LGA1151; GTX 960 4GB; The resolution setting in windows and FSX is the same (2560x1080). But it seems like the edges of anything displayed is very pixelized. Thanks for help

I have a hardware question for you guys. I have a 1080ti and 980ti card on a extreme Maximus vi board (rog). I run three monitors . I put the main sim on the 1080ti and the other two monitors which are used for undocked gauges and info - that is where I use the 908ti.On my board I will only get 16x throughput if I use one card. If I use 2 cards it gets throttled to 8x on each slot . Does anyone here have enough experience to say I would get better performance using all 3 monitors on one card at 16x or split it up with 2 monitors on the 980ti and the sim on the other 1080ti at 8x. thanks? This is for p3d v4 and fsx se ( w 10 x64)

Hi guys, 6 months ago I mounted my MSI 1070 on my rig (i5 6600K @4.6 ghz, 16 GB ram DDR4) But since this, I purchased an Oculus Rift, AND a motion sim,n so now the immersion factor is incredible! My computer is wonderful but when I put the VR headset, on games it's still perfect (like PCars 2, Dirt Rally, IL2, DCS) but for my main sim X Plane 11 or sometimes P3D V4, the VR is difficult because I don't have any FPS (if I want something minimum eye candy) So my question is, coming from a 1070 to a MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GAMING X TRIO will worth it on vr?? For non VR games (or optimized VR games) I know that It should be useless, but what a…

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sceptre-32-LED-Curved-Widescreen-Monitor-C325W-1920R-Black/54497871 I have 24" monitor and want a bigger one. I get 20-35 frame rates in ORBX scenery areas, running overclocked i5 at 3.7 Ghz with I think 980 Ti card. My question is the resolution on the 32" monitor, it is only 1920 x 1080. My present 24" monitor is also the same resolution 1920 x 1080. Will the low resolution of the new monitor reduce my FSX experience? I sort of believe I need to keep the resolution down to keep framerates up. My framerates now are fine but any decrease would slow FSX down. And I do not think the large pixels will be much of…

Hello guys, I bought a 1080 ti a month ago, very happy with the card and now i want bigger... i have a great monitor for general playing, a Acer predator 27 gsync 144hz 1440p but doenst fills me needs for flight simming. Gsync is great for simulators but 144hz for p3d or xplane creates flickering when moving cameras and stuttering in general, i have to go down to 60hz because my monitor doenst support 30hz, only 25 native(unplayable), weird i now, even with a custom resolution!! So i want a 40 inches (no more and no less) 4k monitor or TV, i already made my research here and out of here and im even more confused, so many things in the market!!! Need advice…

So I got the 1080Ti as a replacement to my 1080 and I just noticed as I was about to settle the newer one that my case won't fit the 1080Ti. The hard drives cage is on the way of the card. And now, to make things even more complicated, the cage is affixed to the case unless I find a way to break the attachment points (they're not normal screws). Are these things easy to break? Any suggestions? The case isn't a small one, will I have to buy an even bigger one?

Hi, I have been searching for the answer for very long but still unsuccessfully :( I am trying to buy a new, 24 inch, 1080p monitor but only with the option to set it manually to work at 30hz. I have been siming since FS9 and 30hz freq. is the most remarkable setting so far in terms of smoothness. I had never believed that any real flight simulation (FSX, P3D) would be so smooth until I discovered this monitor setting in P3D. Problem is that my current 24 inch monitor doesn't support this frequency, so I had to switch to an old 19 inch monitor that I managed to set to work at 30hz. All the models of 1080p monitors I checked so far doesn't have 30hz frequency supported of…

Hi all With the release of the FSL A320 and the absolute trashing of night time frame rates that this has caused (unless I accept turning off the ability for lights to illuminate the ground.... no thank you!), I have ordered myself a EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2 to help things along the way. This will be replacing my current Zotac GTX 1070 FE. I have an H440 case, and a RM750W PSU. Now here's the question: My GTX 1070 takes in one 8-pin PCI-E power connection. The cable connector is a 6+2, which fits nicely, and then there is a spur with another 6+2 pin connector piggybacked on the end. This is not in use and is tucked away. The GTX 1080 Ti requires an 8 pin a…

Greetings, in my pc currently i have a pair of gtx970 in sli mode. I am looking forward for an upgrade and thinking for a gtx1060 6gb ram because my budget can't afford a gtx 1080 or even a gtx 1070 (both 8gb ram). In terms of graphics performance will it better from my current sli configuration or should i leave it this way? i have p3d v4.1 installed on my pc. specs i7 5820k @4.4ghz mobo gigabyte x99 ud4p ram 16gb 2 x ssd 500gb (one for p3d) 1 hd 1tb 2 x gtx970 4gb sli psu 800w

Looking for some advice please, I tried using my oldish 42 inch HD tv for my main monitor for FSX. While the size compared to my 24 inch real monitor was nice the level of detail is utterly abysmal, so bad that without zooming in you can't read any of the PFD. Has anyone on tired FSX on a 4k TV, if so what was the experience like? I fancy upgrading but I don't want to fork out unless I know its going to be worth it. Thanks for any advice.

While using the DSR setting in the NVIDIA control panel to simulate a real 4K video in X_-Plane 11.1b4, all of the menus shrank down to almost unreadable limits This was even after setting up the icons/fonts to 300% in the Windows 10 desktop. My 40 inch Samsung TV/monitor is only a 1080p model but I have been using the upgrade/trick found on line to plug in a blank formatted USB memory stick into the TV so that it has enough memory to process the 4K video. Not 100% sure this actually works, but 4K videos look very nice even though the screen resolution say 1080p. After setting the video card to the X 4 DSR setting and resetting it to the new 2160 …

Hi All, Second question of the day. Once installed with a new graphics card, how easy is it to get P3D to connect to 3 monitors and display the standard front facing cockpit views? I've read all sorts of things like Triple Head required - I have no idea what this means. I may as well ask another question also - is there a good G430W add-on for P3D. Rocky114B

Hi guys ihave noticed something weird on my setup. I have tried a lot of things but comes back to the same result. This is strictly not a FSX or P3D issue. Acer X34 and LG 27" Drivers 387.92 I just back into IL2 Battle for Stalingrad and this is where i noticed this issue. I have tried windowed, borderless windowed and the FPS cap set to 100 and it still comes back with 60fps. Just stays at 60fps no deviation If on the other hand i change to fullscreen then i get above 60 fps. Up and around 90fps. But i dont remember this being the case a while back as with all games i play i run in borderless windowed mode because i have 2 screens and i jump to eithe…

Good day all! Recently (the past 2 months), i've been having a lot of problems with my 3 screen setup. I currently have a GTX770. During a flight (on the ground or in the air) my GPU usage sometimes gets to 100%, when this happens, i get 2 fps in the sim. Today i was experimenting on how to fix it, and found that by moving the sim to 1 monitor fixed the issue. The Usage and fps was fixed. 2 monitors was also fine, it was only at 3 that it went to sh*te. So, my question is, do i upgrade my GPU to a GTX1070 (my worry is that it won't actually fix the issue) or do i get rid of the 3 screen setup and get one big curved monitor. Thanks for any suggestions, Adria…

Hi guys, Today, I am upgrading my GPU from a 980ti to 1080ti for use with my ultrawide montior. I have just done a circuit and kept an eye on my current GPU usage in MSI afterburner. Question, the maximum I got to was 80%, but what does this actually mean Does it mean that I can put up graphics settings in game and not lose a single frame rate until I reach 100% usage? Or is it simply not true and other things at play.. Thank you in advance, Alex

After upgrading to P3Dv4 I found some of the things I would like to enable such as dynamic reflections, different kind of shadows etc have a rather severe hit on FPS. For this reason I'm playing with the thought of replacing my current 980Ti with a 1080Ti since most of these options are dependent on your GPU the way I've understood it. My current system spec is a 6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4 @ 3000 MHz and the 980Ti. Anyone else with a similar spec already did this upgrade and can share the experience?
