For what it's worth. Huddison had a 4060 (not ti, 8GB) and got high 30s to low 40s in one plane over one city. He put in his new 5060 ti (16GB) and same flight, plane, city he's getting low 70s. The card cost him 380 British pounds.

Hey guys, I haven't made the jump to 2024 yet. One thing that would help my decision making would be a positive scenario in relation to running a triple screen setup in 2024. Can anyone give me feedback in relation to this eg. does 2024 support multi monitor as in 2020? Has it been improved or worse, as I have read? If not, is Asobo working on it? Is anyone using triple screen in 2024? Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

Hey all, I’m currently using a RTX 4070Ti and its 12GB of VRAM are definitely not enough for my triple 2560x1440 monitors in some sceneries. I can’t afford a 5090. But the price of the 7900 XTX with 24GB has gone down a lot lately, and is pretty reasonable right now (~1000 CAD), in line with the 9070 XT and below the 5070Ti. I’m on the fence, mainly between the XTX and the new 9070 XT. I know the XTX is almost 3 years old and a whole generation behind, but I’m worried about the 9070 XT’s only 16 gigs. I worry that I’d pay a grand to upgrade from 12 to 16 gig and not see much difference with my giant resolution. I’ve read rumors about potential 24 or …

Nvidia has released a new WHQL gaming driver for all users with supported GeForce and TITAN graphics cards. Driver 581.08 WHQL does not contain optimizations for new games. Instead, it delivers support for Global DLSS Override and Nvidia Smooth Motion on the RTX 40 Series graphics cards might help some simmers.

Hi. The 5070 ti is maybe 100€ more. But is it worth it? There Are no recent benchmarks of 2024 with GPUs unfortunately or comparisons of the air upscalers. Is dlss worth it over the amd solution? Thanks for the answers

I have been of the opinion such an upgrade would be a complete waste of money, but came into a bit of a windfall. Would there be any noticeable benefit?

I would be interested in any comments about using a 49" curved monitor for MSFS 2024. Is there distortion at the edges? I am thinking about a curved monitor but perhaps a 32" model would work better? I currently have three monitors with the picture stretched across for cockpit view. Thanks for any comments. Martin

Hello. I would like to hear from B580 users here, is it solid and trouble-free in both MSFS 2024 and 2020? I have read posts in intel forum about driver glitches in MSFS 2024. Im on the fence to get this B580 (or 3060). I’m aiming for the 12GB Vram. Thank you

Sort of a click-baity title, but the analysis is quite enlightening, and I would have loved to see him try out a few flight Sims.

Well, after only two months of use, my water cooled PNY 5090 suffered a fate that seems to have affected a number of 5090s...and it melted. Sitting there there playing Civilisation V of all things (hardly demanding) I smelt burning and took about 30 seconds to locate it coming from the PC. Shut down and noted that several of the wires on the 12VHWPR Cable had melted. Unfortunately the plastic had also melted into the 5090 socket, rending the card unusable. This was with a Montech Titan 1200W power supply using all the OEM cables. Not sure what else I could have done to prevent this occuring. Biggest PITA nowis having to remove the water block, re-pacakge th…

For the first time ever I noticed my 4090 near steady at 99% usage with MSI Afterburner. This was in Xplane 12 and I was at FL180 looking at mostly sun, clouds, haze and no mountains. Surprised at this, I opened up Task Manager and GPU usage there was around 73%. What gives? The more I looked the harder it was to get a true read on how hard the GPU was actually working. I've always trusted Afterburner but searching shows many people are having similar issues not knowing which app reliably reports GPU usage. Is wattage, temperatures and fan speed the better the way to go for GPU usage feedback?

Does anyone have worse performance in heavy areas using the latest NVidia driver 576.88? What would you recommend the best driver for MSFS 2020? Cheers

Not sure of it's direct relevance to MSFS, But I'm betting that some of you out there will be interested in fiddling around with it just to see what happens. https://wccftech.com/nvidia-introduces-smooth-motion-frame-generation-for-rtx-40-series-gpu/amp/

Here is a video with claims to performance increases: It looked like an interesting fine, so I thought I was see if these settings would make any difference to MSFS 2024 SU2. I posted this on Tom’s Hardware also: I ran some ReBAR On/Off tests last night with MSFS 2024 and for all intense and purpose my FPS was the same (within 1 FPS margin of error). I performed the same flight and same location(LEIB) /aircraft/weather/etc. and graphics settings and recorded both with RTSS overlay. Test Hardware: MSI X870E Godlike (rev. 7E48v1A34 … not latest UEFI but close) ReBAR enabled by default nVidia 5090 OC Trio (PNY) (driver version 576.80) 2X48GB 6…
