Hi all,Since i own a HD4850X2 i was curious if crossfire was working in some of my other games (yes i know, fsx doesn't support it).Using CPU-Z i noticed that in fact it wasn't in any of my games, which is strange, cause some of them definately support it.After some reading, i found out i had to download the ATI application profiles, which enable crossfire support.Something i actually had never done before, even though i have my HD4850X2 for quite some time!To enable the feature, i also had to enable the Catalyst A.I (advanced) option in the Catalyst Control Center, after which i indeed had crossfire support for a couple of games.But the best part had yet to come!When i f…

hi and hello ....i am using a gtx 480 with the 258.96 driver -- and the AA looks horrible in FSX (or does not work at all :( ) ...... so i want to use Nvidia Inspector ......does anyone know the exact setup for FSX inside The inspector ??I want to use at least 16x AA .....Any help appreciated .....thankx ... rick

Hello Folks:I have a problem with my FS9; when I fly at night or anywhere dark this problem is most noticablae..There are lots of banding (rainbow like bands) on the graphics. And colors seem to "bleed" especially on the airplane, sky, and clouds-- mostly seen at dawn, dusk, and night....Anyone knows what causes this and how to fix it?..Thanks.Johnny

At first I was decided on the Ati 5850 but then it went off sale and I'm not sure which would play FSX better in terms of FP/S the Nvidia 46GTX or 460GTX or should I just go for the ATi 5850? Hi, I'm looking for a good monitor for FSX, 24"-28". My office computer needs a new one so I'm replacing it with my current flight sim computer monitor, ASUS VW 246h. What kinds are you using and how well pleased are you them? My night views in FSX currently show bad colors in night sky and on aircraft panels. I'm about to fire up FSX after a few months of hiatus. I was wondering what is everyone's take on this. The GTX 480 has new drivers out, but aren't supported in the latest version of nHancer, and it seems like they won't be for quite a while as the developer of nHnacer if working on things in his own life.So, are you seeing better performance with the new drivers without nHancer, or should I downgrade my drivers and stick with nHancer. I'm assuming my IQ would be a lot better with nHancer, but maybe the frame rate would work a bit smoother with newer drivers.

I am using FSX in Windows 7 and trying to get it to display across two monitors in full screen. I am using a Nvidia 275 video card and have no problem in regular windows functions across both monitors. I have looked and looked all day to try to find a soultion. I can play in Windowed mode where the main panel is in one monitor. Then I can open other views and drag them over, but I cannot get it to run on both monitors in full screen. In full screen, FSX displays on one monitor and the other goes black. If I try in Windowed mode and try to stretch the panel over, I can get it to about half the length of the second monitor before it stops and half the second monitor darkens…

Hello,I'm currently in the market for a new video card(s) that will allow me to run my 3 22" dell widescreen monitors in one 5040X1040 display. Does anyone have the GTX 460 or above running in SLI mode with the latest surround vision (not 3D) enabled?I've seen benchmarks in the past that show that FSX runs slower with two nvidia cards in SLI rather than just 1 card. So I'm not sure if I should be getting two GTX 460 cards or 1 card and a matrox triple head2go.Anyone have any experience using both? Just did that, swapped 4850 for GTX460. Running FSX at 720p on 42" LCD, intel [email protected] 4GB RAM.Most noticable difference: textures loading much faster, haven't noticed any of the usual tile swapping (from lower res to higher), everything nice and crisp. As far as FPS are concerned, I think I gained a few, but not many. But there's almost no difference when changing weather from fair to rainy, FPS stays the same, on 4850 it was going down.Overall I'd say it's a big improvement, especially to IQ if not FPS.Greg

Hi Guys,We have an old (2004) Leader desktop with FS9 and other misc stuff with a 19"lcd monitor linked to a 128mb Nvidia Graphics card(GTX5200 i think). The monitor blacks out every 15 min or so then comes back on after about 5 min. A nuisance :groan:! Is it a video card problem or what? Any Ideas for help? :(

Hi, as always, apologies if this has been posted before. I've noticed over the last few days that FS9 FPS has dropped dramatically. The problem in particular seems to happen whenever I add weather to the environment (I use REX). I get 29 fps with clouds at Seattle in the default Cessna, and around 25 with even FS9's own weather engine providing the weather... It all used to run just grand: I have it set at 41, to get 40 fps, the way I like it, and I've tried the usual tricks (deleting FS9.cfg and re-installing FS9) but the problem refuses to go away. My last desperate act is to go back to another driver version (I run Catalyst 10.7, I'm sure with 10.6 I had better result…

I wonder what performance will be like.Before everybody starts asking......No, you more than likely won't see a benefit with this card over a 1GB GTX 460 at 1920x1200 or 1920x1080. Only very high resolutions would make use of the extra frame buffer. :(

Hello everyoneI have managed to overclock my CPU E8400 to 3.80, and tempretures remain at 61 degrees celcuis.Now, my question is why is it that there is no significant change in performance?
