FSX Monitor Best Monitor Resolution Flat Screen TVI am in the process of configuring my existing system to run FSX. Some progress has been made in that regard (see my configuration listing below). My next step, is to buy an appropriate monitor. I have an existing CRT monitor… I would like to use for maps. However, I would like to purchase a new large (Flat Screen / Computer Monitor) as my primary display. I have reviewed many of the postings on this forum… However, I am still not clear as to which display setup will be optimum. Are there any specific product recommendations regarding a Flat Screen or Computer Monitor? Something in the 26-32 inch range, under $800 do…

I am running an i5 O'c to 4.0Ghz and have 8GB of GSkill Ram.I started playing FSX and all was fine till I started to see these problems.http://picasaweb.google.com/hamishdd/FSXGTX570Anomolies?authkey=Gv1sRgCNiBz4bmvafVWw&feat=directlinkI started to immediately think that I had a faulty card so started to run some stability tests on my card. Recently I downloaded and installed SpeedFan 4.42 to monitor my GPU heat. What I see on the readings page concerns me. The only "flame" graphic appears only on the GPU and reads as such:GPU: 50CTemp: 50CCore: 50CThese temps are without much load and CPU useage changes from .8%-46+% I don't see a reading for the CPU though. Is this not provided by SpeedFan?What should be the acceptable or max temp on this video card?My OP is XP. I have the side of the case removed and two fans, one in front pulling in air and one at the back pushing air out. Fan speeds are: Fan 1: 1241 RPM, Fan 2: 2083 RPMThanks for any info provided.Jim D.

FS9 is installed in a separate folder and im running an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470. Am hoping for help before I go reloading any add-ons.CheersMark

Hi all,My 3-yr old (out of warranty) GeForce 7300GS just died - fan completely seized up. FS9 ran well with the 7300, am just looking to replace it with an equivalent new. Am looking at the GTX 460 or similar. Would like to avoid fans, they always seem to be the weakest part, but seem most GC's use them. Any suggestions or practical experiences out there?System: Asus P5GC MX/1333 MB, 2 GB RAM, 1680x1050 single monitor, Vista Home Premium SP2, PSU: Regular PC capacity (not a high power unit).

Hello Gents,I've never tried this but I thought if possible, it would be cool to display my FMS on a second monitor. I have a laptop I use for both FS9 and FSX but after plugging in the second monitor, the best I can get is my desktop displayed on the second monitor. The icons/folders are absent and I have no mouse on the other monitor, so even if I could get part of the sim to show up there, I'd have no way of manipulating the device. Is this generally possible without some other additional device? My video card is an Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT and I have Windows Vista.Edit: okay, I got the second monitor to work by selcting the clone option from my video card menu. But I stil…

hello,i am wanting to replace my underachieving ATI card with a proper Nvidia card. my choices for a low budget video card(s) are the following:Nvidia GeForce 430 GT:http://www.newegg.co...2-067-_-ProductNvidia GeForce GTS 250:http://www.newegg.co...rce%20GTS%20250i am wanting very high performance because i am tired of passive stuttering and textures not loading fast enough. right now, i get 20~30 FPS average with my ATI card w/high settingsso my question is, which of these cards stands out in performance and can give a good 40~50 FPS average. also overclocking the video card will not be a problem for me, since it will be very easy.system specs:-OS:win vista 32-bit-RAM: …

Hi there,I would like to upgrade my videocard and kindly ask for advise which one would match the technical specs of my system best. It wouldn’t make much sense to buy the best card available, if the rest of my system cannot keep pace with it. I know, there are other parts of my system, which would need to be upgraded too, but this time I will only change the GPU (except for the PS, if the new GPU needs more power). And yes, I’m Nvidia biased. My specs areOS: Win XP 32Mainboard: S-775 ASUS P5Q, ATX, 1 x PCI-E x16, 2x PCI-E x1, 3x PCI,´Intel P45/ICH10R, 4x DDR2 667/800/1066/1200Mhz, CPU FSB 800/1066/1333/1600MHzCPU: INTEL Core 2 Duo E8400, 2 x 3,00GHz, 6MB Cache, 1333MHz F…
