Hey guys,Wasn't really sure where to post this or if anyone's ever had this problem themselves...This morning during my GIB turnaround I noticed there was a storm fly (??) so the Captain said, walking around behind the LCD on my laptop, inside it! He said to just leave it till I get home and hopefully it would just die somewhere out of view and where it wouldn't cause a problem...well it seems that all the use throughout the day and being thrown around in my flight case has killed it, in the middle of the screen, and now it's stuck! Anyone know any easy solutions to this? I really don't fancy taking it apart to use compressed air to remove it, but do I have a choice?Chee…

Hi!I just build a system (2500k OC'd 4.7GHz, GTX 560 ti) Everything seems to be good, but sometimes I'll look to a far off runway and there are line segments moving. It's as if the the sides of the runway are conveyer belts. Also, although my frames are great, sometimes I'll get a weird stutter. Also, when moving outside screen view the scenery ripples sometimes. It's not a huge issue, but if it can be fixed I'm all for that.RubenEdit: Inspector is configured per PMDG's Ryan.

Hi. I posted this in the FSX scenery forum but think that this forum would be closer to my problem:I have upgraded my rig to a i7 2600k/p8p67 pro/gtx460 (superclocked)/8gb-1600CL8- ddr3 (2x4gb) overclocked to 4.5ghz. and am now getting a problem with my graphics performance. For instance, when i go to KSFO (FlightBeam addon airport), at first load everything appears except the buildigs then after about a second, they appear. If i go into the menu and then back to my flight the same thing happens. I have used all the same addons on my pre upgrade rig and this did not happen. I hope i am just missing something because right now i am worse off than before (exept for FPS etc.…

  5. Hey guys,I recently got hold of an older Teac 32" LCD TV that I thought I might try running FSX on. It will be powered by my 3GB 580 GTX. The TV has both DVI and VGA inputs but is too old for HDMI inputs. So, when I went to hook it up I was surprised with some of the results. Firstly, running via the DVI, the highest resolution I could get out of it was 1240x1024. If running via VGA cable, I can go up to 1600x1200. The TV itself is suposed to be 1920x1080i HDTV. When in FSX, the screen is great but I wanted to check a few things with any others that may have gone through this process before? If I run FSX at 1600x1200 I get a reasonably good wide view (with wideaspect=true) …

Hey guys, I just want to confirm that FS9 will work with Eyefinity? I can only find videos for FSX but I am fairly positive Eyefinity works with FS9. I will be using Eyefinity with 3 24" monitors in the VC. Can someone please confirm this? Thanks.

Hey guys, right now I am running 2 24" monitors with a DualHead2Go. However, I am really wanting to upgrade to 3 24" monitors. I don't want to use TripleHead2Go as I don't think I can get a wide enough resolution. I considered Eyefinity but my current monitors don't have a displayport. Anyway, I am thinking I will go the Nvidia Surround route with 2 Gigabyte GeForce GTX460(Here). Would this all work properly with FS9? How is bezel management? Pinching on the sides of the monitor? Any feedback is appreciated. Overall, I just want to know how Nvidia Surround works on FS9(and yes, I have searched the forums). Thanks.

I received my new machine yesterday, and have been setting things up.It has two GTX570 cards in SLI. My understanding is that SLI is (probably not?) beneficial for FSX. When you run games where you want to disable SLI mode, do you toggle out of SLI in the Nvidia control panel or do you simply set up a profile for that particular game with SLI disabled (if so, how?)One thing that is irksome for me is that I have three monitors (two primary plus a Wacom Cintiq). It seems as though I have to disable SLI in the control panel in order to enable all three monitors. This is a bit irksome, because to re-enable SLI I have to unclick the third display under "Set up Multiple Display…

I am running the new 275.33 drivers on my GTX260 with nice results as long as I down clock it to the vanilla clocks. My card is the superclocked edition 216 cores. Is there a way to set the downclock so it is permanent? I have a shortcut I made to do it using Nvidia Inspector but would like to make it permanent if possible. Thanks, JIm

This has been reported before but it was just over the weekend that I discovered the procedure and I am one Very Happy Camper now.I have a very modest machine with an equally modest NVidia 7900GS graphic card. When approaching most airports I always had "shimmering" runway and taxiway lines etc. until they would finally settle as I neared touchdown. A most distracting visual issue.Having tried virtually all of the suggested "tweaks" over the past couple of years, I was very dubious about trying the following - feeling the shimmering was just something I had to continue to live with.Boy was I wrong! The solution (for me) was as follows:I updated my NVidia drivers to 257.…

A few video questions on my new build.1) My new ASUS GTX560Ti sometimes exhibits corrupted images on the screen. It looks just like cards I have had that have started to fail but if I restart then everything is fine. Is this a warning sign and I should take it back as RMA ? Again this is only as startup once in a while and never if it starts up ok. Sorry I have not been able to get a screen capture of this effect.2) I have a Z68 board which has an onboard video chip and I wonder if I should be using this chip as the video output for my second FSX monitor. Will this help my FSX performance at all and how easy is it to set this up in Windows so the second monitor looks…

I am currently building a new system which will have a I7-2600k, ASUS P8P67 Deluxe V3.and 8gig of ram. I will be putting my EVGA GTX480 in it and using my TH2Go DE for three screen VC view. I have also used a 4th monitor through the 480 via HDMI to drag different views to, like the GPS, ATC etc.I also have a EVGA GTX285 sitting here from an older system. My question is, can I install the 285 and run things like weather and Plan-G flight planner etc on it? I also have some older nVidia products like 9400, 9800 type boards if the 285 is too much or not compatible.ThanksRick S.

Hello,I'm new to using nVidia Inspector and just tying to understand how it works. With that said, I have a few questions.1) Once profile selected, modified and then Apply button is clicked, do I need to do anything else (i.e. load profile or something) or just keep nVidia Inspector window open and launch FS X?2) After computer reboot do I need to go back into nVidia Inspector and select the profile and click apply prior to launching the FS X?Sorry for the noob questions... still learning that app.Thank you.

Hi!I recently changed from a C2D 6750 to an i5-2500k OCed to 4,5 GHz. This gave me an enormous performance-boost. Now it is known that FSX is mostly CPU dependent and therefore my question is: will I see further improvements when changing the video card from my 640MB 8800GTS to a 1GB 560ti? (of courcse for other games the 8800 is a limiting factor but for now I'm only interested in the FSX performance)Thanks!

Hi folks, after some frequently FS crashes because of the FS9 map I´ve learned to use Plan-G for the same work the internal map did. Now I´m thinking of getting a small second monitor besides my 17" main display. It would be dedicated to display Plan-G only as moving map. Do you have any advises for such an monitor (It shouldn´t be too expensive.). My plan is that my main monitor displays FS and the second one Plan-G. Is this possible with my GTX 260?

Hello,After a long hiatus, I'm getting back into simming. The setup that I'm thinking o putting together consists of:- Intel i5 2500k (looking into OC)- Asus P8P67 Pro Rev. 3- 4GB X 2 PC3 16000 RAM- SSD for FSX- 750W or 850W depending on card selection(s).I'm a little confused as of which video card I should be getting. I'm planning on doing eventually a 3 monitor setupand probably would be going the TH2GO route. So based on those factors what would my best choice be for a video card? These are the options based on my budget.- NVidia GTX 480- NVidia GTX 560 Ti- Nvidia GTX 570Thanks in advance for any input. I have read the different post regarding these cards except on the…
