Hello guys. I want to know would I realize a huge difference between a GTX 560 and GTX 580. Of course there are some significant differences between the two but would I be able to tell a big difference in FSX with my system (listed below)? I have been involved with flightsim since its beginning and invested tens of thousands of dollars to be on the cutting edge with it but not anymore. With the economy the way it is now and living on retirement budget, I am not able to splurge as I once did. It no longer impress me to spend an extra $300 to gain 3 or 4 more FPS or smoothness. Hi all,I'm using an ATI HD5970 card and currently on driver version 11.6.I have noticed that while running FSX, my GPU 1 almost maxes out while GPU 2 remains at zero. I've tried running other applications and both my GPUs were being utilized. So for some reason, crossfire refuses to run with FSX. I was wondering how I can fix this problem?I don't have an "enable crossfire" option on my CCC or anything of the sort. I've done a google search on this issue and came up empty. I run FS9 in XP and have a large collection of sceneries and aircraft, both payware and freeware. I run a triple monitor system as advocated by Alex Reid with GoFlight throttle quadrant, Saitek ProFlight rudder pedals, and CH Eclipse yoke. I use FSUIPC for almost all the calibrations. The system runs well, graphics are very good and I get stutters only when AI is cranked up very high. It is all extremely stable. Linked into it through a LAN I have ASA, Radar Control, and vasFMC. Hi all,My system is AMD6400+ BE 4GB PC6400 PLUS A 9800gtx+ running Windows 7 64bit. I get around 15-19 fps on the ground in level-d at mega airport Frankfort. I will in the end go for a Intel 2500k but in the mean time would I get a fps boost by going for a 560ti with my existing System? Or is the bottle neck my AMD6400?MARK

I have a NV 460 GTX (1 MB) GPU, and am currently running FSX on a 5 year old Samsung 16:9 monitor. (My earlier monitor was a Sony reflective / glossy 4:3 screen that had the issues of the reflective screen from light behind the monitor, but had very bright and vivid colors). The Samsung was a matt (non-reflective) screen, which solved the reflectivity issue but the colors were much darker and less vivid, and not easily fixed by the monitor settings (which seemed to introduce noise and artifacts when I tried to overcome the dullness of the image).So, now it's time to do it again. Hi Guys ,After a comleting flight i like te review the landing using instant replay .Last night i did a flight from vhhx to eham ( PMDG MD11 ) and after a succesfull landing i tried to review the landing using fsrec but when i pushed the view button my screen wend black and i had to close fsx entirely with the esc button .This happened a few times allready , no matter if i use the fsx instant review or fsrec instant review .Could this be a driver problem or hardware problem , i don't know .My system :I7 950 oc to 4.2MSI 470 gtx graphics driver 266.586GB memory xms3 corsairwin7 64 proffsx sp2Best regards ,Gérard

downloaded the new drivers yesterday but need some help on setting of nivida inspector, specificaally under aa,behavior flags, gamma correction, antiliasing mode, wiyksd reakky appreciate if someone would show their currect settting in nivida inspector with these new drives. by the way running i975, wndows 7 with gtx 580 .

Does it make sense to upgrade from the Nvidia GEForce 250 GTS card to teh 460 GTX card ! gi with everything else the same. I have a 550 w power supply, duo 2.53's and 4 gig of ram. Its about a $150 upgrade.

Hi guys, You might be seeing more post by me as I continue with my new build. I posted earlier about video cards, and I've settled on the GTX 560. It's affordable, and powerful enough. Now I'd like some opinions on the right 560. I found a few on newegg but they all have subtle differences. The biggest, I guess, being the 1GB versus 2GB. Obviously the 1 gig is cheapest, but would it do me well? I'm assuming the higher numbers in the specs mean its a better card - i.e. clock speeds, number of processors. But I don't know what they all mean.Cheers

Does anyone have experience with a 3-monitor setup, using the Matrox box but with monitors of different ratios?I have two older analog flat-screens, 4:3, and a new LCD 16:9. I plan to use the widescreen in the center, and the twoolder monitors on the sides (for L and R side-window views, mostly). According to the Matrox manual, as long as all 3 monitors support the same resolution (3840 × 1024; 3072 × 768;2400 × 600; or 1920 × 480), you're OK. But since only 1 of those four resolutions can be sent to all 3 monitors, I wonder if the result is satisfactory (i.e., the entire screen used on all 3, without wierd stretching, etc.) Anyone have experience with this kind of setu…

hello everybody first of all i want to apologise to have left this message to a wrong forum here in avsim.my problem is the shining of runways and trees textures.i have an ATI RADEON HD 3200 GRAPHICS card,and there is no option to disable lod bias as the one of nvidias.i have have disable Vsync on it and antialiasing and anisotropic filtering are controled by fsx,and not ati.but i still have these ugly shining of runways and trees.please how to trick my adjustment in ati to avoid this?it may be like there are consuming my fps.if it will be need i will post my fsx.cfg file.thanks in advance.
