Hi to all, I am thinking about upgrading my PC with new Video Card.Currently I have as you see in my profile Zotac GTX 260, 896MB.Generally i am pleased with performance having 15-25 FPS in virtual cockpit in heavy scenaries with NGX.The major problem is sudden FPS drop bellow 10 a lot of times, which are reducing from all fun with NGX as the aircraft moving in "steps".The question is: Should I upgrade something to receive better performance with NGX (videocard, memory...)?Which video card would you advise good performance relative to cost.Or the performance of NGX in virtual cockpit is going to be better after SP1.Maybe some definitions in my CFG file should be corrected…

HiI had my computer built around 1 month ago with an i5 2500k and did specify the gtx 560ti graphics card. He had none in stock so let me have a gtx 550ti 2Gb as a replacement until one comes in.However he now cannot get one and has offered me a sapphire 6950 IGb. Should I keep my 550 which I think is great or swop to the 6950 ? Or is it worth upgrading to gtx 570 ?Thankyou.

I can't imagine it can be done, but it is worth asking as it would be worth the effort if possible. My PC is fairly good i'd guess, and my MSI overclocked GTX 560ti surely supports multidisplay? My question is, could i run my FSX as i do, on my 32inch in HD, but run things like my GPS, Throttle, Radios on a normal 15inch LCD?Is this too much work or even impossible?EDIT1: May have answered this myself, i plugged my 15" in through the blue plug in to my 560ti, and it acts as a continuation of my 32" display, so the mouse goes from the 32" to the 15" fine.I can't start FSX yet as i am defragging, how will it display FSX, i don't want my VC stretched over the 2, just the abili…

Hi guys, finally I took the plunge and orderd a new EVGA GTX 560 SuperClocked as an replacement for my solid working GTX 260. But there´s one thing I´m not really sure about: I´ve currently the 280.26 drivers installed and they´re working fine so far. How do I have to make the change? Is it just the old card out and the new one in or do I have to delete the drivers before and install them with the new one in?

I have a GTX580 graphics card with the latest drivers installed and everytime I run FSX you can see these faint, shimmering horizontal lines in the screen, more noticeable when set at night or dusk. I've set various settings on the Nvidia inspector and made sure V Sync is on, makes no difference. I re-installed the drivers tonight so everything set to default and the lines are still there! This is really bugging me as i've just spent a lot of money on a FSX PC!!! Has anyone had this problem or anyone got any settings to try to get rid of these lines! Thanks guys.

I purchased my EAH5870 video card about two years ago and generally I've been very happy with it. My current computer is built around a i7 920@3,8 GHz on an Asus P6T Deluxe mobo with 6 GB Corsair dominator RAM but I figured I'd join the Sandybridge bandwagon so I have ordered an i5 2500K with Asus P8Z68-V Intel Z68, Corsair Vengeance 8 GB RAM and some other stuff. What difference can I expect if I purchase a more modern video card? I'm not considering a high end card but possible a Nvidia 560Ti of some brand, most likely Asus.My gut feeling is to stay with the 5870 since I'm happy with it, it was a high performing card when it entered the market and we have our axiom that …

HiI am thinking about buying this 24" LED tv as a gaming monitor. It costs around £280. I cannot find the response times anywhere, it is a new tv so I presume it is fast. Is it worth purchasing or would I be better buying a dedicated 24" gaming monitor for the same money and if so what make? Many thanks Paul

I asked this question in the PMDG NGX forum but didn't get a response - so I thought I'd ask here.... Ages ago, I set up FSX graphics with the aid of Nick Needham's guide using nHancer. Now I'm reading a lot of recommendations by Ryan (at PMDG) and others who talk about setting FSX graphics up with Nvidia Inspector....So, which is better or can/should they both be run together? Thanks for any guidance!Toni.

Hello, I currently have an Asus CG5720 BP0003 running an amazing ( ) nVIDIA GeForce GT 220. Back when this was "newer" it was great! But with new addons(and seeing other videos being posted on youbtube) it is very outdated and in need of an upgrade. I was looking around and have my eyes set on a GeForce GTX 560 TI to replace my current 220. I have checked to make sure that it will work/fit into my current system, however I wanted to take a minute to see if anyone else had upgraded recently, and if so, to what? I am about a month away from buying one, so I would like to see what other people have, or if you have a 560ti, how do you like it? Thanks!

Throwing together a new build based on a I7 2600K with a MSI Z-68 ED55. This will be housed in a coolermaster elite 343 Micro Atx case. My question is regarding which video card to use. I currently have a gigabyte 460 GTX 1GB card and was wondering if I would be better suited with a 560 GTX Ti. I HAVE A 19" Samsung LCD with a native resolution of 1280 x 1024. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your timeMatt

I am presently using on 1 monitor and have considered using another monitor sitting next to it. Both have equal capabilities and I am using a GTX 560 Ti with dual outputs. Anyone using dual monitor setup with a single graphics card? If this is feasible, how would it may affect my frame rate display? Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated.

Question for you guys, I want to use this as an FMC for my A/C however ideally that would mean it would be rotated 90 degrees so you can look at it vertically instead of horizontally. Is that something that is supported? I have tried to use my Tablet as my FMC but I hate flying in anything but full screen so this might be the perfect solution. Any thoughts?-P

Hi everyoneI yesterday upgraded from a Leadtek GTX285 GPU to a new GTX560Ti 1GB. Install went fine and believe all remenants of my old drivers were cleared. On testing,it seems I may have increased my frames by one or two on average, but as I have read from other posts I do feel it is less stuttery especially in areas of challenging sceneries that I fly around a lot such as the Orbx Australian airports. My question is should I be rebuilding my FSX.cfg if so what tweeks or tweeking guide is the "bible and accepted source of knowledge these days with modern cards.I had a look at Tabs comments and followed his simple tweeks with NvidiaInspector but those are really very limit…

Hi guys ( not been around for a while) I decided to change around my monitor arrangements, having spent a fair bit of cash setting up a triple screen arrangement, I decided I don't like it and have gone back to using my old 28 inch and a secondary screen for opening windows in. I disconnected one of the triple 19 inch monitors and I had the new double monitor set working fine. Today, I decided to swap in the 28 inch monitor, a dell, as the main display. However, now when I fire up the PC, I can see the boot screen and the starting windows logo, and even the mouse pointer, but the screen is blank, no desktop, nothing except the mouse pointer. And now the other (19 inch) …

After reviewing threads on several forums the only images I have found of Inspector are from late 2010 early 2011 which have "Apply changes" on the profile page. The current version I have doesn't have "Apply changes". See attached image. How are they applied with this version. Thank youMichael Cubine

Hi there... I have a triple monitor setup with resolution at 3840X1024 triple head to go.When I stretch FSX the other 2 outside monitors, I start having serious display issues with the PMDG 737NGX aircraft. The model is either invisible or I just see the seats. In the VC, only some instruments are showing.I was wondering if there are any other users that have this same setup. If so, are you having the same issues?Could you share any tweaks and/or settings?FSX is SLI compatible, although SLI doesn’t benefit FSX much except at extreme resolutions with high AA.I was wondering if the PMDG 737NGX would benefit from that setup, when I put that together. Thanks! Mark HarrisEuros…

I am having trouble getting Nvidia's Surround to operate in a stable condition. Here's my story. I just installed 2 GTX 580's running in SLI mode powering 3 Acer G235H 23" monitors. The Nvidia driver installed is 280.26. When I first configured the system, I was able to operate FSX in surround mode with no problem. I received 7 Microsoft "critical updates" shortly thereafter and, after the installation of those updates, my surround mode became unstable. I attempted to restore my system (windows 7 (64 bit) to a period prior to receiving those updates but they apparently had been downloaded and not yet installed just prior to the earliest restore point available to me.…
