Hi guys,After all what i´ve heared, the new nVidia divers will have an frame limiter inbuild. I thought to test that with the latest BETA driver. Could this driver give me some problems or should I expect to work like an WHQL?

Hello everyone,I'm fairly new to the forums, presently I'm running FS9 onthe following system with the above mentioned graphicscard.Dual Core Intel Pentium 3Ghz3,300Mb DDR2 RAMWindows 7 home premium editionI use the following driver version:Driver Packaging Version 8.92-111109a-129965C-ATIand CCC 11.12In general FS9 runs smooth with my system (frames locked at 28)but with some aircraft (Ifly,LeveL D) my frame ratesexperience drops every few seconds to values in the middle teens. This happens only in 2D panel view, outside stays solidly at 28 frames. Not sure whether its really the graphics card, but thats my best guessafter trying everything else and otherwise my system …

I right now have 1 GTX 580 in a system with a i7 2600k. I understand that the Sandy Bridge CPU's run video cards at 8x if 2 PCI-E video cards are installed. I was considering adding a 2nd GTX 580 in my system. I read a thread that PCI-E bandwidth is important for autogen in FSX. Is PCI-E 8x going to be much slower than PCI-E 16x in FSX if I have my autogen at the extremely dense setting?

Also happens when trying to render out a video in Sony Vegas it just wont do it!Is there any fixes? I still got till the 26th of January 2011 to get a refund but I really like the Laptop and wouldn't want to give it up.Also I tried Re-Installing all the Graphic Drivers and CCC and nothing! Still happens. Looking online and seems no one really has an answer.Has anyone had the s…

Been messing around with trying some display confiqs today and I must say I was very "underwhelmed". Right now I am trying (2) 1920x1080 displays using AMD Radeon 6970 in Eyefinity mode. Using previously one display I could lock at 30FPS. With two I lose 20FPS! And that's knocking off all AI, trimming down most of my other sliders as well. I was planning to add a 2nd 580 to the mix but seeing these test results have put everything on hold.Is anyone out there seeing good results with FSX with multi-displays? SLI?Thinking now I might go with one larger display but I would then need a higher resolution but would that create the same issue? I've seen some of you with…

I am considering the BP=0 tweak to get my frame rates up in FSX. I currently have a Lynnfield Intel (LGA 1156) i5 overclocked to 4.0Ghz. My understanding that with the BP=0 tweak, you must have a graphics card that has at least 1Gb of memory and is fast enough to handle all of the information that they CPU can send to it or that it will cause crashes. Would a GeForce GTX 570 (1280MB of memory) be fast enough to handle the data coming from my i5? I currently have a Nvidia 275 with less than 1Gb of memory. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to educate me this topic. Maybe it will be of help to someone else, too. Thanks in advance!RH

Hi all, I came across a Post by 'Tab', and the credit for the following goes entirely to him. Just thought I would post the following to perhaps help others. Firstly, you might like to do a search in the FSX Forum for a title ' Nvidia Configuration Guide (inspector + 2xx.xx drivers) Version 2.0+ explanation of all settings. This is a long and very informative article all about Nvidia Inspector, first Posted on 22/1/11.Firstly, many of you will be using Nvidia Inspector, coupled with an external frame limiter. If you download N.In. version 1.9.5.9 plus Nvidia Driver 290.53 release date 21/12/11, you no longer need to use an external frame limiter. In Nvidia Inspector,…

My old Nvidia 8800GT 512 card crashed and I had to buy a new card. Based on advice in this forum I purchased the GeForce GTS250 512 card. My system is an older one using a dual core 6850 chip at 3.00 Mhz. Thew new card was installed and new drivers updated and after a few flights I got the nv4_disp.dll BSOD. After some research I uninstalled the drivers, used CC Diver Cleaner and also used a registry cleaner. I installed the Nvidia driver again, requesting a clean install and then updated to the recommended FSX settings using Nvidia Inspector. Everything looked ok for a few days but now the BSOD is back. Seems to happen mostly when I go to outside view, if I stay i…

I have a geforce GTX 460 video card and wondering if getting a second card using the sli feature would improve my frames at all. Still have low frames at addon airports like FSDT kord. I was told by the vendor when I went to buy a card that FSX does not utilize sli so it wont make a difference on single monitor. So is this feature hardware or software driven?

...Actually should have titled it 'questions' lol...Are you overclocking your cards? I have recently dabbled a bit with it and notice a significant increase in performance/smoothness, but was wondering:1) what settings are you running and software are you using (i.e. voltage, clocks, precision or afterburner)2) what side effects are you seeing (if any)?3) What temps do you see under load?...Thanks in advance!

So today I got my HP DV6T Quad Edition Laptop, Specs are...Intel Core i7 2670m 2.2GHz (Turbo Boost to 3.1GHz)8GB DDR3 RAM750GB 7200rpm HDD1GB Discrete GDDR5 Graphics AMD Radeon™ [HDMI, VGA]So I set everything up, installed FSX SP1/2 and in my settings it's only giving me the choice for a Intel HD Graphics. This laptop has switchable graphics so I'm guessing it's referring to the Intel HD graphics and not the AMD? When I click the arrow to give me more options there is none? Attached a photo just so you know exactly the issue is.. And I think this is the right forum? Not 100% sure sorry!

Ok, took the plunge to expand my horizon (literally!) Bought (3) 27" LED displays (1920x1080), and plan to buy a 2nd Nvidia 580 card to accompany my 1st one.But before I press the "Purchase" button, I thought it prudent to see how much of a hit and how it would start to look. So I am first trying to set up a VC view across two displays. Just haven't found a thread on how to set this up for FSX.Can someone who has a similar setup point me in the right direction? I am reading the threads here but I am only on pg 10 with 74 more pages to go (whew!).thx,ClutchOk... I think I found my answer. If I go with the Nvidia route I would first have to install a 2nd 580 card in o…

So, I've been playing Skyrim for the last couple of months now and just dusted off my yoke and pedals to get back into FSX. I noticed that my inspecotr settings no longer take effect in FSX as I've just updated to the latest Beta drivers from nVidia and the latest inspector version. I definitely have my AA set correctly as before, but in game there is no AA just jagged jagged lines. Now, this has happened before, and I was able to remedy it, I know it is something simple, but I forgot how to do it. Is it something in my nvidia settings? Thanks,Jeff

I just got the latest Inspector with the FPS limiter and am loving it...While running FSX over the Caribbean at FL350, I have a GTX 260 and i7 920 @ 2.67 ghz , my GPU load is showing 34%. FSX Resolution is 1366x768. Does GPU load seem reasonable or low?
