Hello, I've just bought GTX560 Ti (to change my old GTS250 OC. Should I reinstall FSX (+addons) after graphics card change?Or I should only delete FSX.CFG file to rebuild hardware settings/entries.Thank you for advices.All best.

II have a Samsung SA950 27" monitor, which I love. However, the image on the monitor appears too bright. I'm not sure if what I am seeing is a brightness or contrast issue, but the whites seem to be compressed such as what one would see if a camera was set to over-exposure. I think it's a brightness issue, not the contrast.The monitor otherwise is great with colors, so I'm wondering what the best way to resolve this might be? I have heard (maybe incorrectly) that just turning down the monitor brightness might introduce errors into the image by way of the gamma correction, and that adjusting the "brightness" through Win 7 is a better way to address this issue (which p…

Currently, I am using a somewhat dated ATI4870-512 video card. I am close to upgrading card. My CPU is an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T. The AMD 6950 2GB has been recommended. How does the 6950 compare with the EVGA GeForce GTX 560Ti? Obviously, this is for FSX usage using PMDG737NGX & TH2Go w three 16 x 9 24" monitors.

Hi guysI would like to ask the problem in FSX what it comes from. my CPU or GPU.The problem is.. i get steady 30FPS in Cessna in FSDT KLAX but when i take off and turn with the aircraft the picture becomes like its weaving and like i got stutters but my FPS does not drop under 28FPS.. hi,I have got a problem with the settings mentioned above. whenever "override any application settigngs" is used, the 2D Panel Displays of my Pmdg Ngx look really blurry (http://www.bilder-ho...jauu-1-c4ca.png). Besides, the letters of the FS menu are not very sharp, either. However, the 3d panel is alright.Are there any solutions to my problem? Looking for some feedback with experienced Eyefinity (or even Nvidia Surround) users.I just installed an Eyefinity set-up (three 27" displays and an AMD 6970), to try it out. The issue that hit me right of the bat was in VC mode the cockpit is way to close to you. I cannot zoom out enough in FSX to get a pleasing distance from my panel/controls. With TrackIR, even if I am able to back up a good amount I usually find myself behind the captain's chair! Do you have this issue? The only thing I can think of doing is go into each aircraft config file and manually edit a new POV position. And even that may not solve this issue. What do you guys see/do?Clutch

Hi All,I'm trying to decide whether to go for 3x24" or 1x27" monitor(s) for my new rig (specs in my signature). It's not just an FSX machine, but I do want to try to get the best out of FSX. I'm currently setting it up and testing on a 1920x1080 TV. I'm going to overclock a bit more (hopefully to 4.8MHz). My PSU is hot when I run FS9 with my new video card in it. Even in the past it ran hot (well warm-hot) with the 8800GS. (MY PSU is rated around 400 or 500W.)I am wondering is it possible to use an old PSU I have that is rated at 200W to use specifically for the 550, or is that not enough power for it?I see my choices as either using a second PSU as mentioned above, outside my case, or putting my old card back in, or just getting a new PSU between 550W-850W of which I don't really have any cash for.Do some PSUs naturally run hot? Or does it just mean they are the most average ones made. Getting a higher quality PSU will make a difference?Daniel

Hello Captains.I had to reinstall fsx yesterday. Everything went well did the install as per NickN.Installed the RTM and started fsx, everything was OK.Installed SP1 started fsx, everything was OK.Installed SP2 started fsx and got this error message: This graphic card does not meet minimum requirements for shader support. This product requires a geforce3/radeon8500 class or better graphics card, Flight simulator will exit now.My graphics card is an EVGA GTX580 so its far better than what fsx needs.Win7 is up to date, latest nvidia driver is installed.Any help would be appreciated.Laszlo

I've been having issues with my video card in FSX while flying Eaglesoft's Citation X (see pics below);It appears to possibly be related with FS kACARS and scenery intensive areas. In addition, a possible variable may be going in and out of the sim with ALT +TAB. It generally happens after about 20-30 minutes although prior to that, the sim freezes for 5-15 seconds before unfreezing. The freezing bug repeats itself randomly, maybe every 3-5 minutes of flight.I can correct it by rebooting the sim but does any one know the cause of this and what a solution may be?I have Windows7 on this computer but it did the same thing on my other computer that has Vista. Whenever i turn on my computer from sleep mode my monitor is all green like this color and then returns to normal after a few seconds, it used to do it every once in a while now it does it all the time...i have no idea if my graphics card is going out or if its my monitor. If someone could help me out that would be great!

Hi GuysI upgraded my new motherboard ASUS P8Z68-V LX and I kept GTX 470 graphic card. After putting it all together everything work great, but my HDMI cant be detect on my TV LG 32". my resolution is set at1920x1080. I was able to use it in my pevious MOBO, but not in this new one, any idea I may be missing? this was my first time I ever replace my MOBO. FSX and PMDG is even great after I done this, but I sure like to get my HDMI working again.Any suggestion would be appreciated Thank!David

Hi ,after overclocking my sandy bridge i2600k to 4.6ghz ,I have decided to overclock my asus gtx 570,I had always used Ati cards and these had built in tuning/testing software in CCC,does nvidia have this type of built in function I have looked at Nvidia control panel but cannot find anything ,I have looked at Nvidia inspector show overclocking and cannot understand what the hell all these performance level/ unlock min/ unlock max do?,is there a auto tune button program that I am missing ,thanks for reading any help gratefully received peter

I recently built a new system and installed an EVGA GTX 560ti. Its a great card and my new Core I5 is running everything very well. I recently updated the drivers which came with the card with some newer ones. I followed the recommendations here and on another gaming site for good drivers and installed the 285.62's. Shortly after that i started getting driver related crashes, image corruption, and general instability with the dreaded "driver has recovered" error. NO OVERCLOCKING here. Ive done a lot of reading and it seems the 560's and some of the other cards suffer from serious driver issues post 275.33. That or the card has a bios issue which limits the fan speeds cau…

Been having some issues with MSI Afterburner so I was trying the overclock feature of Nvidia Inspector.Does Inspector have to be running for the overclock settings to 'stick'?I have rebooted and called up inspector and the OC settings are still there, but Im not sure what happens when I exit Inspector?Any ideas?Thanks,Glenn
