  1. Hi, I never had this issue before, but installed some new drivers, clean install. Created the FSX and P3D profiles in inspector. Ran both FSX and P3D and absolutely no AA. Double checked and everything was right. Went into nvidia control panel and noticed there was an FSX and P3D profile. I had never noticed this before that Control panel was able to see the nvidia inspectors profiles. Ok, maybe they were there before, but the only way I could get the AA was to activate the profile in the Nvidia Control panel. But, I had used these drivers b4 and they were good but now getting that wavy line in the scenery during even a modest roll. Just to keep my sanity, I reinstal…

First I like to introduce myself in this first post on this forum. My name is Theo Scholten and I live in the Netherlands, so English isn't my native tongue and I apologize beforehand for any typos and so. My first experience with Microsoft Flight Simulator was in 1978 on a TRS-80. FS had no number in those days (it was their first version). Can you imagine a flight simulator on a screen with a resolution of 64x16 positions (more pixels off course but you couldn't address them seperately). During the time I 'played' FS on and off (more off obviously) until I got cought again with the flying virus a couple of years ago. I am now flying with FSX with UTX, GEX, and some phot…

My post has been lost in quite a lot of others so I will ask the question in my own instead. With my fresh install of Windows 7 I am having trouble getting all the nVidia things to work in sync. I use FXAA and the Inspector. FXAA seems to be just about there but my filtering just refuses to work. You set it to override the application setting at 12x/16x but it won't work and I have to use anisotropic inside of FSX. Any ideas?

  6. A question for the experts - Can I connected my new 30 inch Dell to my display port and my second monitor to the DVI connection? At the moment I have two monitors connected to the two DVI connectors. I suppose the question is whether the Display Port connection can be used with the DVI connection at the same time?

  9. Hi Forum,I humbly ask your assistance in shedding some light on my NVIDIA inspector issues with FSX!I am trying to set my AA and AF etc from within NVIDIA inspector, as my understanding is that this should offer both higher image quality and better performance than using the in-game settings for AA and AFI have followed the instructions here and also checked on this AVSIM thread with a similar issue, but to no avail. It seems no matter how I configure my Inspector settings to override the AA and Filtering, as soon as I turn off the AA and set filtering to Trilinear in FSX, I just end up with no AA and trilinear filtering - the override doesn't work at all!I am running FSX …

  10. So has anyone been lucky enough to get their hands on a GTX 680 yet and stretch their wings in FSX?I'm curious to know what the comparison from your old card has been. I'm currently running 2 x GTX 560 Ti's in SLI (which I know has no benefit to FSX), so if I can get my hands on a single card solution that's going to benefit my FSX and have similar performance to my old cards in other games then I'm definitely going to consider it.Just after peoples thoughts/experiences thus far.

  11. I am using 2 GForce 560Ti's in SLI to provide Nvidia 3D surround gaming on my 3 Acer 23" monitors. I am satisfied with the performance in most part. Is anyone able to tell me if it's possible, and how, to use my 4th monitor (a 15" Acer) in the remaining 560Ti's connector to power it? I realize it will not be part of the surround configuration, but am hoping I can use the smaller monitor to provide support to maps, charts, and what not we depend on when flying. Using surround gaming mode for anything other than flying, like managing maps is awkward at best as an image best viewed on one monitor gets stretched across 3 23" panels. Annoying to say the least. If using th…

  12. Hi guys, I currently use the EVGA Precison X program included with my GTX 560 (non -ti), but I've seen this Inspector thing in many threads about the NGX, and how it can fix blurriness. Precision pretty much lets you increase the clock speeds, memory, and fan speeds and voltages. That's it. In Inspector, can you restore to default settings? (Perhaps you mess something up) Just wondering the community's experience. This only applies if you have a EVGA graphics card. Thanks! ^_^

  13. I have 2 GFX560ti GPU set-up in SLI to provide spanning (surround) over three Acer A231H (23") monitors. A fourth Acer monitor, X193W, provides a 4th monitor in non-surroud mode through the power of a GeForce 8500GT card. This arrangement appears to be doing the trick for most of my needs, barring a few well known inconveniences. I use my system predominantly for Microsoft's FSX. A great experience. The problem I am having, and I hope someone is able to relate and possible provide some advise, results with the attempt to use FSX's full screen option. Although I rarely fly in full screen mode, several of the available panel views rely on full screen mode to display the…

I have used the FS AA filter box and now I am reading about using the graphic card to do the AA. Does anybody have any advice and what setting to use for my ATI Sapphire HD 6850 graphics card. I have a lot of blocks on my wings from shadows. For instance like 2x or 4x. I am new to the customizing of the graphic card software. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.I have a good system. ASUS 990FX Sabertooth MOBO, AMD Phenom 1100T 3.3GHZ processor, 16 GB RAM, ATI Saphire HD Radeon 6850 GPU and a Zalman cooling fan.

  17. I have an Asus 580 GTX card and recently I have had frequent Kernel Mode Driver Failure when running FSX (and Battlefield 3) I am using the latest NVidia drivers (295.73) and during a flight I will experience this 2-3 times. It is usually preceded with some really wild graphic corruption and a spike in the gpu usage.Given the fact I have seen this Kernel Mode Driver Failure with different drivers I am leaning towards a hardware issue vs. software. Asus has been less than helpful with any troubleshooting. Their response was to remove and reseat the video card. (Really, that's the best you can come up with?)I am now looking at the new 680 cards, which appear to have the…

Hi guys, I'm looking to upgrade my GPU but at the lowest cost possible. I'm running a [email protected], with soon 8GB Mushkin 1600 8-8-8-24. Would a 560 TI be a subsantial upgrade? I want to run BP=0 but now I'm getting artifacts on occasion. I should add that FPS are pretty good and I'm using Word Not Allowed's tweaks. I'm just wondering if with a 560 TI I could use better AA than now. Also, I use a 22" monitor at 1920x1020. Thanks

  20. 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4 refresh rate (for version 300+ drivers). I've already read one report in the FSX forum of smoother display using 1/2. I have to be honest, I've never used vsync and don't really understand it's purpose if framerates in FSX are way below 60 to begin with. I always thought vsync was used just to keep the frame rate from shooting above the refresh rate. So I'm not sure which of the above settings I would want to use if for example my framerates are in the mid 20s.

Now that the 680s are out, I see 580s are finally reducing its price. Having currently a 470 (along with a 2600k and 8 Gigs of RAM), would I get a noticeable improvement, both performance and image quality wise, from getting a 580? Thanks in advance, Jorge

Hi all, I've having this weird AA experience this last week. Ive a GTX 570 with driver 275.33 using the latest nvidia inspector. using 8xS with 2x SGSS same setup like Word Not Allowed is using. I've had shader mod 3 installed but deleted it again since ive a nvidia card and rebuild the shader cache. But I think it is since i removed the shader mod im getting a lot of shimmers and jaggied runway textures and taxiway lines, but also on trees and autogen buildings etc. note that my AA is still working but not completely as it was just before and Ive already tried many things but Ive no idea what could cause this. Hope i could solve this problem w…
