Yesterday I installed my new TH2GO DE. At the moment I am (still) using a Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 videocard and, after I iinstalled the latest firmware and drivers, the maximum resolution I can get is 3840x1024 (3x 1280x1024). I am using 22" monitors (Iiyama) with a syncrate of 55 Hz. According to the website of Matrox the maximum resolution a TH2GO can give is 5760x1080 (3x 1920x1080) but only at 50 Hz. I searched for monitors which are able to cope with that 50 Hz, but only found monitors for 55/56 Hz minimum. In principal this is no problem and I am happy with the view I now have. BUT. I am planning to buy a GTX580 (as a lot of you guys have) and I am wondering wha…

  2. Is there anyone else out there with a GTX 460? I've got the Zotac one running with 8gb ram and i5 2400. I get quite good performance (around 25 in dense areas). What sort of performance do you get? I'm upgrading to the i5 2500k soon and I'm getting a new graphics card (not sure which one yet) Is it even worth upgrading yet, or should I hold out a little longer? Thanks.

  3. I was told, using a LCD 32" TV 720P is as good as 1080P. Was told the human eye cannot tell the difference and buying a unit running at 1080P at 32" is a waste of money. I think he is wrong. Isn't more better? Thank you for any replies.

Hi all, My screen, on chase view, shows kind of horizontal line going down. It starts from about the middle of the screen and goes down, like a small thin wave, destorting the image at that point. How could I overcome this? I have an i5 2500k cpu overclocked to 4,5 ghz. Graphics card: gtx 560 Ti. Monitor refreshing rate: 60 hz Any hint?

Hi Guys I got this annoying problem, ive installed the latest drivers this morn 301.42 for my Gigabyte 580 and its behaving odd. If i click on ie the sceen brightness dips in colour and returns when i exit ie. It also does this if i open a folder, basically any app. Also the words/writing on the web have become faint although the general look is brighter ,readable but not the same picture i was seeing with previous drivers. I use the mouse wheel to scroll down this website and the pages flicker, not drastically but it is a pain in the a**e. I have left the Nvidia control pannel settings on default, my screen res is native 1920x1080 refresh rate 60hz, …

  8. I downloaded the new beta drivers and am wondering if anyone else is running into this problem. I get the following error when loading fsx with the new driver. Sometimes, FSX just hangs and I never see that error message pop up. If I revert my configuration to single screen, and re-install SB4, the error goes away. If I then re-enable triple screen, the same error comes up. If I revert my driver to last version, it works fine. Anyone else run into this and have a solution? I've uninstalled all drivers using safe mode and re-installed. I've uninstalled and re-install SB4 several times. I'm at a loss.

I'm a Nvidia nut and was going to get a 680 and of course there were none. So after the 670 came out I saw all these revues of the 680, 670, against a 7970 @ 1000mhs and the 7950 was crap in the revues. I saw if you run a 7970 clock cycle per cycle against a 680 the 7970 kicked &@($*. For that to work if you can run a 680 @ 1250 mhz core clock you must run a 7970 @ ~ 1225-1240 mhz. So any way the 7950 was crap. So I had to have one to play with. First of all there set at a low 800 mhz and run against a 680,670 and 7970 all set @ 925 - 1000 mhz. So I picked up a xfx double d black edition FX-7950 3gb, 384 bit, express 3.0*16, 900 mhz factory cl…

  11. In my never ending struggle to get ENB to be 100% stable in FSX I have been able to eliminate the menu crashing it was causing. But now since I have been able to use it on all flights I notice another issue I almost have resolved as well but not quite. And this is most definitely driver related. When I have the mod activated I can now enjoy hours of simming with this most excellent look but then I get a freeze (long stutter) usually lasting a few seconds and then black screen. The good news is that I can open the task manager and poof I am back in FSX all of a sudden and all works fine except my Ezdok key bindings. So if it happens in the VC which I am in 99.9% of the tim…

Good day simmers! I have a request for Matrox TripleHead2Go users... My setup is 3x1920x1080@50Hz powered by GTX580. After some flying my displays goes black, after a blink of an eye I can see black picture with GMX logo on left (first) monitor. Then, I see my Windows desktop for a second, maybe two and black screen again. It keeps blikning for few minutes and everything goes back to normal. One can see the Th2Go unit green status LED also blinking during that time. Unit is directly attached to Motherboard USB port, alongside plenty controllers (stick, yoke, TIR, GF...). Does any of You had similar issues? I think it could be power surge on USB, but Windows does not…

  13. Hi guys, Thought I'd share this observation. Since the arrival of the new 300 series drivers, I've noticed big fps drops when near or over large bodies of water in FSX. My standard slider setting is low x 2 and using REX 2 textures for my water. I noticed the issue when I was testing a triple screen system with the new 680 Gtx and I figured it was just a driver issue with that card. However, i'm also seeing the same problem with my own rig running with a standard 560gtx (non ti). Now setting the water to high x 1 or lower solves the problem and things return to normal. So is anyone else seeing this or is it just me? Oh the driver I'm using is the 301.24 beta Be…

  14. Ok, so I have a Asus GTX 275! My i7 920 is overclocked to 4,3 G's, so I am thinking of upgrading my videocard. Mostly I see good fps in fsx, but when I use PMDG's NGX, Active Sky and some good scenery addons, it maxes in the 20's and drops to about 11-13 fps. Do you think it would be wise to upgrade my graphics card? could that improve fps? need advice!

  16. Hello all, Today I wanted to replace my Gigabyte Geforce GT 240 by a new Geforce 550 GTX TI. 17. I now have a digital Triple Head 2 Go working three 24" monitors. I'm using a single NVidia 560Ti. Maximum resolution is problematic. How does one configure two video cards to drive three monitors? Is this done with or without SLI? Can this be done to display a seemless three monitor wide view? Will this increase or decrease framerates? What are the advantages & disadvantages of a change?

This one surprised me. I just completed a new multi-media pc build consisting of an AMD 6970 card, a 27" display and a 60" Sharp HDTV. Both displays have a resolution of 1900x1080. All I wish to due is have both displays show the same image (duplicate). Pretty straight forward setup. Yet, using the latest AMD Vision Engine Control Center, under Desktop Management, it sees both displays but I have no option to set the 60" to Duplicate mode? It only offers to Extend or Replace. It seems odd that it would allow me to extend but not duplicate? I have the 27" connected via one of the DVI connections and the 60" connected using the HDMI. Using Windows 7. Do I need the …

  19. At the moment I am still using two monitors (in an eyefinity group) for my 'outside view'. I am thinking of growing to a complete cockpit with a 180 degree outside view supplied by three beamers (with Nvidia GPU's). I have done some experiments to get the best option for this setup and have found out something strange. The resolution I normally fly in is 3840x1080 (two HD screens). I also tried 1920x1080, 1280x1024 and 1024x768 (all on one screen) and I noticed that the width of each picture was the same and the only difference was the heigth of each picture. So instead of seeing more (what I expected with two monitors side by side) I am actually seeing less. As mentioned…

Hello all, Right now, I'm running a single GTX 570 on a monitor that is 1600 x 900. I have some money to spend and I want to upgrade my GPU. So my question is: should I get a second 570 for SLi or get a single GTX 670? Here's why I'm so on the fence about the choice: I don't want to upgrade my PSU (it's a Corsair TX 750W), which I might have to do with a second 570. But I heard the 670 can easily be overclocked to the level of a 680, and I don't have to upgrade anything else. Which one should I go for and why? This isn't completely for FSX, but for other games too.

In my new rig, based on an i7 2700k, I want 3 monitors for the outside view and 3 monitors for the instruments, both at a resolution of 5760x1080 (3x 1920x1080). Each set of 3 monitors will be 'powered by' a TH2GO Digital (no DP). Matrox states that this is the maximum resolution for a TH2GO Digital and that a maximum of 2 TH2GO Digital's in one system is supported. BUT, will a GTX580 with 1536 MB of memory be up to this task? And if it is, what will be the downside performance wise. Thanks in advance for your answers (or questions), Theo

  24. Hi all I've got about $175 in birthday money (at Amazon.com), and I'm contemplating finally getting a widescreen monitor (or buying an RC airplane). I've currently got a 19", running at 1280x1084 (see signature below for details). 1. I generally understand that the more pixels rendered, the higher the performance hit. But is there a way to translate that into FPS loss and/or increased stutters? 2. Through earlier searches, I think I'd be looking for the best combination of monitor size and response time. Does anyone have any suggestions for what would work well in the $175 range, given the rest of my current set-up? Thanks for your feedback! Kevin Yo…

  25. Just rebuilt computer including 560Ti video card. I use a digital Triple Head 2 Go using three 24" wide screen monitors. I have a Plextor Blu-Ray player and would like to view Blu-Ray movies on this computer. It seems that this combination will not work. I'm not sure if it's DVI issues or the video card or maybe the Triple Head 2 Go. Any suggestions?
