My specs are below, video card is set up per NickN's optimizations for Nvidia Inspector. I have Bojote's shader 3 installed and I also run the program Shade. My night textures look really bad, particularly when lights are on the runway and when lights are off in the VC. Wobbly lines, different colours of green and red. The NGX video monitors have random wavy lines through them. Just awful. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix ?Mark.

OK I'm looking at 40inch (1080 X 1920 ) TV for My display I am FS2004 on C152 or LD 767Display will be driven by laptop or Dual core 3.3Ghz AMDThe Things stalling me are the refresh rate at either 50 or 100Hz given there is quite a bit of Price difference from one to the other.Planning on using my 19 (4:3 ) LCD display as a side window or instrument panelThinking about Dual output Graphics Card again without busting the Budget. Any suggestions ?I am more into the flying / instruments than the eye candy out of the window ie not really into photorealistic scenery, but will likely go for detailed airports and traffic at the airport.Feedback from anyone who has gone o…

Hey guys,I can't seem to get rid of stutters. I just upgraded to the GTX 560 1GB card and still in the heavy clouds I max out the card at 100% and the stutters start. I know there has to be something wrong if a 2004 program is maxing out a 2010 card. I run AS6.5 and REX Overdrive when this happens. This first picture is showing what FS9 looks like when the card load is max:And this shot is of my inspector settings for FS9 and my card:Does anyone have some suggestions to why this is happening and anyone with the GTX 560 card could possibly share their settings? I also cant max out FS9 settings. I can't get mip mapping above 6 without performance hit and the weather settings…

Hello all.I was hoping to find some suggestions on an issue I'm having.I have the 6790 HD card setup on (3) monitors running FS9.I am having a horrible issue with artifacting. Weird textures flashing all over the place. Seems to happen more while on the ground at airports. However it still does it in flight just not as much.I am running the latest Catalyst driver set. In addition, I thought perhaps it could be a heat issue so I took the side off of the PC and directed a heavy duty fan towards the video card. Problem still persists.I did turn off "Render to Texture" in the FS9 display settings and that made it stop for awhile. But as soon as I neared the airport the proble…

Hey guys,I just "upgraded" my video card from the 9800GT 1GB to the Sapphire HD 6850 1GB and the results I am seeing are very disappointing. I was pretty happy with my 9800GT card except for when I would get into heavy clouds, the GPU would take a 100% load and start stuttering. So, after over a year of dealing with it, I finally decided to save some money and get a new card. I got the Sapphire 6850 1GB card and am running it now. But, to my surprise, I cant max out both FS9 settings and the settings in the Catalyst Control Center (CCC). When I do that, the stuttering is back and actually worse than before! This is very disappointing. I was hoping upgrading to this card w…

I just swapped an 8800 Ultra for a 560ti because it appeared that the old card started having trouble with FSX (only).I've flashed the bios, reinstalled the chip drivers, insured the new video drivers are properly installed per Noelle's instructions, and tried every fsx config file known to man.The new card, although faster, still does the same thing. It runs FSX beautifully for about 60 seconds, and then 1) colorful artifacts, or 2) the screen freezes.Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. System specs are as follows.Asus Striker Extreme Mobo,Chipset : nVidia nForce 680i SLI SPPIntel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2400MHzKingston 4096MB (4 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM)EVGA 560 TI 102…

Hello all. This is my first post here. I do hope this topic hasn't been discussed before, been roaming here and there, yet haven't got specific answer. well, as it is written on the title, I had this blue screen crash quite often, it has been getting worse. I'm not sure what caused it but it is stated that the error was:DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL*****viahduaa.sys - address B2d9A25F base at B2d5A000.Been browsing for days collecting info, most of the forums suggest that I had to do something with the VIA Audio Driver, it makes sense since the message is apparent in the blue screen, but some of them came up with checking the RAM, PSU even Mobo, and an anti virus software …

Going to upgrade my computer to either a gtx 580/1.5gb ir 3.0gbFrist of all here are my specs: Cool Master half 932 windows 7 64 bit, fsx on its own drive, velcoraptor, evga x58 sli le, 980x processor, overclocked to 4.4ghz, 6gb of mushkin memory, and 2 video cards gtx 285, but use only one since fsx does not take advantage of sli, using driver 280.26 and nivida inspector as well/ along iwth 27" DEll monitor. still see some stuttering with PMDG 737-800 ngx, that is my major issue. Here are some questions if you can give me some good real decednt advise1- do you think with the gtx580 that might smooth things out a bit ????? I was looking for some info on running a projection screen or multiple monitors. I have a 2600k sandy bridge setup with a GTX 580 on a single monitor. I am slowly going to build an enclosed simulator. What change in graphic cards do I need to make. I can not decide on wrap around projection or using monitors for windscreen. I am confident on constructing the simulator and building the pc's, just unsure on how to run the visual. Any help appreciated. I have been looking into using Project Magenta for the instrumentation as I piece together the flight controls. Sorry if this is basic info im researching all i can find, getting bored playing on a desk.

Just got an email this morning from EVGA introducing a single card which is the equivalent of two gtx 560 Ti's!!"Experience a whole new level of interactive gaming and combine up to three displays off a single card for the ultimate in 3d entertainment, or disable Surround and combine up to four displays for maximum productivity."It appears to be an alternative to SLI, and EVGA's competitive answer to Eyefinity (http://www.guru3d.com/article/evga-geforce-gtx-560-ti-2win-review/6) Does anyone have further insight or info on these cards?? Would really appreciate since I was about to switch to ATI (a little reluctantly) and pull the trigger on Eyefinity before this little bab…

I switched from spindle to SSD = worth the performance jump. Hoping the jump from SSD to Revo have the same "a-haa" factor. This guy raided 2 Revo Drives. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLdvAKm1q0s The numbers he's posted for performance look good. But, does the computer allow that throughput? Would doing this make FSX load times "much" ie a lot faster? A couple of 120GB Revo drives raided seems to me to be a good idea. How fast would FSX load times improve vs standard ssd? All advice much welcomed.

Just a quick heads up in case anyone else runs into this problem. If youre using nvdivia surround to span your vc across 3 monitors you may have problems with the 285.62 driver no longer supporting your normal resolution and basically stretching everything 50% horizontally. When activating surround it drops the resolution of the first monitor (which causes the others to mirror it) and leaves you with 32x9 ratios instead of the expected 48x9. (or x10 if you have that size)Reverting back to 275.33 (my previous driver version) instantly fixed the issue for me and restored my 5996x1080 bezel-corrected resolution.

Hi,Before I upgrade my Video Card from a GTX 285 to a GTX 570, I need to knowif I get better performance from an overclocked vs a regular clocked card??I was thinking of the Superclocked EVGA card or otherwise just the regular clocked one. It's 797mhz vs 732mhz, or can I achieve the same overclocking it myself. The overclocked cards are hard to find in my area at the moment and are $20 more expensive. Thanks,Helmut

I could greatly use some help in...monitor & graphic card setup for fsx. My goal is to create a very humble home built cockpit which will build up over the years into something more complex. As a start, I wish to add a new multi monitor setup. Currently I use a single 22" LCD only with a gtx 560ti.What I'd like to do is go with a 3 or 4 monitor setup for scenery using only one graphics card ideally. I'll keep the 22" to use solely as a panel/gauge display during flight. I fly a pretty balanced mixture of add-on heavies and add-on GA props. My two main questions/considerations:1. Should I choose 3x23" LED @ 1920x1080 OR 4x20" LED @ 1600x900 ?2. Related to question #…
