Hi, I am having trouble with my new nvida driver 285.38 I cant get Anti Alaising to work in FS9. The options have changed in the profile and dont match the old ones. Anyone else have this problem or know of a fix. Cheers Mark

Hi I have my m17x r3 for one week and have been trying to get FSX to run properly since then. In the nVidia control panel FSX is listed as a programme and set to use the nVidia processor. When I go to the "Settings" tab in FSX, under "Device" it says "Intel ® HD Graphics Family .0.0" and does not list the 580m. In game I am getting between 10 and 50+fps with settings on high to max. (I also have the sim on my m11x r1 and that lists the graphics card under the same tab). The sim runs quite well but often when I exit I get a "fatal error" message and the sim re-starts itself. When flying in full screen mode the very top and left side of my 27" LED screen shows a white border (I am guessing 1 pixel wide) that flickers. I can get rid of it by moving the hat switch around but as soon as I move the view back to center it comes back. Any ideas on how to get rid of this phenomenon ? Mark.

Hi guys,while my FSX installation starts to get more and more shaped (and addon spoiled ) I´ve noticed that my good ol´ GTX 260 had its time.Have the problem that she won´t throttle up anymore, I´m stuck at 400MHz (Instead of 600). Got terrible single digit FPS. But I got this sorted out by upping the frequencies in the mid range level manually to my current power mode oc.But that´s just a litte side note. Overall I´m not really happy with this card anymore. A bit too less power for the CPU at 4.2 GHz.The GTX 460 got im my sight. Will this be an noticable frame rate boost? I have my setup running very smooth and slick, locked at 25fps. I run 2x 24" iiyama monitors, both in VC mode wit various windows open on the side view. The only time i get a performance drop is in very built up airports (addon scenery only). I use one 1GB GTX460 and my mobo cannot SLI, so which gpu would be best...... EVGA GTX 460 2WIN 2GB or GTX 580 Im leaning more toward the Evga card as its 2 gtx 460's and its cheaper. Advice very welcome. Alan

I am running FSX with a second monitor alongside. I also fly in FS2004 and in both prefer full screen mode, I find it that bit more realistic. While FS 2004 presents no problem in showing full screen on the second monitor, we know that FSX will not. I have heard that there is a piece of software/tool that will allow the user to operate FSX in full screen on the second monitor eg for charts and additional instrumentation etc thus avoiding the need to go into Window mode! Has anyone out there come across this and better still actually tried it? Thanks guys and regards Brian

Hopefully someone will have a solution to my problem. I have recently installed the Antilag Alternative FPS Limiter as per the readme into the FSX root folder on my system. My FPS set to 30 in the CFG file and everything was working well with the frame rate constant at around 30 FPS. I ususally fly the MD11 and place the 2D panels of the cockpit on my second monitor. When I moved the 2D panels over to my second monitors my FPS of the main monitor dropped dramatically from 30FPS to 7 FPS. If I dragged the panels back onto the main monitor the frame rate increased back to the original 30 FPS. I then increased the FPS number in the Antilag from 30 to 60, same result. If I us…

This could be of much importance to small microstutters in FSX (choppy / jerky movements in a milisecond) because when the fps is limited to exactly 30 fps (and not 29 or 31 as in fps_limiter or antilag) the GPU is more in sync with the refreshrate of the moniter, hence less microstutters. Let's hope the driver update will be released soon!

My gpu usage in fsx is at most 30% and an average of 20% ( i checked it in msi afterburner.) I have a msi 570gtx with 1.5gb mem. Is this normal? And how can I let fsx use more of my gpu? My CPU is a Sandy bridge 2600k.When i fly i have microstutters when in windowseat view. I think it is gpu related.

A year or so ago i found a thread that explained how to hide all the borders for flying FSX in Windowed mode.Can anyone direct me to it or explain how to ?I have 3 screens with ATI "Eyefinity". The Bezel adjustment is perfect in windowed mode but is terrible in Full screen.Unfortunately, the borders cause a big loss in FPS.Any help appreciatedNeal h

Well I was forced to buy an ATI card because NV AGP's are getting a little tough to find here.Flew into KMEM last week before changing cards and all was fine. (Total stock airport).Now when going to KMEM with the ATI card it looks like a bad acid trip.Anyone else have any issues like this? it is the only AP I've encountered a problem with, other then that the card has worked fine and a little bit better then I expected everywhere else. (So far)!

i've got a GTX 550 ti on order. right now i have a radeon 4670 installed. what is the correct order of steps to install. do i first install the drivers then pop out the radeon? or maybe pop out the radeon then install the gtx then drivers? Hello guys, I'll be building new computer exclusively for FSX around i5-2500K, which I want to overclock. I currently own a GPU Msi GTX460 Hawk Talon Attack, which is factory overclocked version of GTX460. Hey guys I just got a really nice 120 Mhz Acer 27 inch monitor to switch from a triple widescreen display to a single large 3d display. Overall the sense of immersion is fantastic, the NGX cockpit literally comes alive, and the framerates have improved thanks to the smaller field of vision. I was just wondering if you are having the same issue I am, whenever FSX puts a 2d sprite or graphic on the screen it doesn't convert to 3d, and hence shows up twice, and literally makes me cross-eyed. Examples would include the smoke coming off the tires when landing a heavy jet, some scenery graphics(ex. the mist from the waterfall at the the new Orbx Fall City), or sometimes night …

Hi all, When I switch from full screen to windowed mode my graphics are messed up.(image) Switching back to full screen solves the problem. No CTD, freezes or OOM messages. Does anybody know what causes this?

Latest ATI drivers (11.8) and CCCHi all,I downloaded the 11.8 drivers. So far so good. What I don't like is the CCC. I noticed that alot of options that I used to have like (Vsync, triple buffering, etc.) are not there anymore. I also don't like the new AMD user interface, absolutely dismal (I am aware that this came out a few drivers ago.) Anyways, looking at this website (link below) I can see that this person has alot more options than I do and the interface looks different than mine. Hello, I generally don't try to fix things that are not broken so I haven't updated my drivers in a long time. Since my drivers are two years old, I think it may be time for an update. I'm still using Nhancer 2.57 and Nvidia 195.81 drivers. Can anyone suggest a good place to start with a new driver choice? Maybe someone that has my card? Nvidia is suggesting 280.26. Hi there,I'm wondering what is the relation between the display size, resolution and the resulting field of view in FSX (given a zoom factor). In concrete terms, from 20" (1600 x 900) to 27" (2560 x 1440) does it improve the field of view (by allowing a zoom factor that remains readable) ? Or is the image just stretched ? Note sure where to post this as I do not know if it is a video, mouse or software issue: I am running FSX on a desktop Vista 64 machine with Nvida GTX 285 video card, Asus PT6 motherboard with builtin sound card and generic USB mouse and dual Acer LED monitors. Problem is very annoying. While flying if I haven't touch the mouse for a little while when I do move the mouse from anywhere on the screen, both monitors go blank for about 5 seconds and then return to normal. The sounds conitue and the plane keeps flying during the blank screens. I have updated to the latest video driver, no help. Happens with the stock planes and addon planes. Running FSX with SP2.
