I just recently purchased a GTX 770 which has 3 Samsung B2330 monitors connected to it. When I enable surround (with or with out bezel correction) I lose some real estate on screen 1. With 3 1920x1080 monitors I would have expected something close to 5760x1080, what I am getting is 5040x1050. Also when I exit surround mode, the resolution on monitor 1 comes back at 1680x1050. Any ideas on how to correct? Monitor 1 & 2 are DVI monitor 3 is HDMI. Thanks Kevin

Anyone playing with one of these? They seem like a very hot item right now, everyone's sold out. I'm wondering how they perform with P3Dv2 and XP-X?

What's the best driver to use for my GTX280 video card in Win7 64-bit? Every version I've tried since installing Win7 and possibly before that in Vista64bit, I'm plagued with "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." blackscreens in FSX as FSX is unable to recover from a video driver crash.... I'm currently using 331.82, and have had this issue since before 306.23 (the earliest version I've had since upgrading from Vista to Win7, but I'm sure I've had the same crashes in Vista using earlier driver versions). Any suggestions on which video driver version would be most stable in 64-bit Win7 for FSX?

Reading about the GTX 790 - 10 Gigs of ram and a double 780Ti processor. Also, apparently the 780Ti will come out in March with 6 Gigs of ram rather than the current 3. Anyone else have news on this?

Today when I started FSX I noticed it took a long time to load up, much longer than normal. Then once it finally loaded I noticed the frame rate was terrible. I have been using FSX everyday for the past several months with absolutely no issues and great frames, so this surprised me. Of course I started checking things out and when I opened up Nvidia Inspector to verify my settings I noticed that Microsoft Flight Simulator X is no longer in the drop down menu! The only thing close is Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002. So I opened up Nvidia Control Panel and under Manage 3D settings, fsx.exe is listed. I am puzzled why FSX is no longer listed in Nvidia Inspector though. I…

Would this be a good card for Prepar3d v2? Its 3gb so has heaps of vram. Someone has offered me this card for a good price, I know it will be a good upgrade form my current HD 7770. I would have preferred the 680 but just to give you an idea I can get this very good condition 580 3gb for HALF the price of a used 680 2gb. should I go for it?

Hello, I am considering upgrading my computer hardware and getting back into Flight sim. My question is regarding multi-monitor display over screens of different sizes, is it possible? I would like to have a single large 30" dell monitor (16:10) display as a center monitor flanked by two 22" monitors set in portrait mode, all sharing a single VC window, would this work with the latest graphic cards? Many thanks, Jim

Hi All, I have 3 Samsung T240 monitors connected to a TH2GO but I'm unable to access my PC's BIOS as on start up two of the three monitors flash very fast (strangely the center monitor remains blank). If I connect a single monitor directly to the PC everything is fine. Any ideas as to what I can do? Thanks DK

Hi I'm running three monitors, they're all the same model I'm running the using tripleheadtogo however I can't get them to look the same ie colour and brightness etc despite setting them with equal settings, I have tried adjusting the monitors seperate but the still look different, it's annoying when using fsx and the scenery looks different on each monitor, are there any software I can use to calibrate each monitor so it looks the same . Thanks, jim

Recently there was a discussion, and I cannot remember where I was reading about it, but I am pretty sure it was on Avsim and it related to DX10- DX-11 graphics processing. The topic was either tessellation or some other newer graphic card technology that was being introduced but the older monitor technology would not be able to take advantage of it. The article in question stated that the new monitors in 2014 would be coming thru with this the ability to take advantage of the newer rendering technology and I failed to book mark this article at the time and now I am trying to find the thread that discussed this feature. As I said at the beginning of this post, the dis…

Hi guys, I bought an EVGA GTX780 to replace my 560TI and so far I'm not too impressed. I have an Intel Ivy Bridge processor 3570K running at 4.4 GHz with 16 MB of 1600MHz dual channel RAM. Both the OS and FSX have their own SSDs. I've tried running the sim in both DX9 and DX10 (I've bought the payware DX10 Fixer), modifying fsx.cfg and the 3D settings via the Nvidia Inspector using the guides by NickN, Word Not Allowed, Tabs, Paul etc etc etc. But I'm still unable to get the results I was expecting from the video card upgrade. DX10 mode, using latest Nvidia drivers (332.21) in 1920x1080x32 mode, with 8X CSAA in the fixer and 4x SGSS in the Inspector, with all…

I just bought a Cyberpower Fangbook 17" lappy with an i7-4700MQ and GTX-770M gpu as well as 8gb G.skil RAM. Should I bother installing FS9 on the laptop? My desktop handles FSX with ease, but I'm interested in the portability a lappy provides. I'll be using a mouse and my old Saitek Av8tor joy stick. Thanks in advance for the advice, Bob

Hi, I have a "GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1 GB" card now on my rig. A friend of mine have a new "Asus GeForce GT 630 2 GB D3" card that he will give me if I want it. The thing I know, is that the 630 card supports DirectX 11, which the 550 card doesn´t. So, should I replace the card? My rig: Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 Processor Speed: 3,33 GHz, overclocked to 4.26 GHz. Cooling: Cooler Master Water RAM: DDR2 PC6400 800MHz 8192MB Video Board: Gainward Geforce GTX 550Ti Video Memory: 1GB GDDR5 Mother Board: Asus P5Q Intel P45 ATX Cooler Master ATX Chassis, Plexgear 500W Power supply OS: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 Bit

Hello Folks. Well, the P3D v2 release has prompted many a conversation about video/graphics cards. Like many, I would like to upgrade in preparation for a potential move to P3D but also to possibly benefit my FSX performance in the meantime. I would like to make an informed decision but frankly I don't think I am a very well informed buyer at this point. I have carefully followed many of the conversations/ threads but I am still confused some; especially with all of the abbreviations and acronyms. (Still not sure which is the "VRAM" spec) I am comparing the following choices and would very much appreciate your honest and informed advice along with your clarificat…

Is anyone running this driver with FSX and if so are there any problems or performance improvements? I might need to upgrade my 7850 2gb card driver for reasons unrelated to FSX but want to see how it works first. Thanks!

HI, I had built a PC for my flight sim, and had lackluster performance. I always suspected the video card as I never hit more than about 30% CPU load. One of the guys at the flight school also built a machine were he threw caution into the wind, Haswell i7 and a Geforce titan Card. He runs Three monitors for cocpit view and a forth one for instruments. Needless to say I was jealous. When Talking to him about his settings he claims other than messing with some configs to spread the cockpit view across three screen, he did noting else. So Obviously I am ready to step up and replace mt video card. The question is, i can locally source a GTX 770 for a decent pric…

After updating to new NVidia drivers (v 332.21) I experienced some trouble with texture loading in FSX. After flying for 30-60 minutes some of my cockpit textures wouldn't load when changing views. Then a couple of days ago I reverted back to the previous driver version and the problem is now gone. Just a head's up if anyone are having similar problems.

Hello I thought I was going to regret purchasing this upgrade, but I am very very happy with the result. I saw 20% better than I had prior to my upgrade. This is what I have done: 1) Re-installed FSX and FSX Accelerator 2) I only have PMDG 777 and NGX 3) Unstalled Nvidia (clean install) and installed GTX 770 with new drivers 4) Bojote Tweak - added JobScheduler and FSX.Bat file for FSUIPC4 from Word Not Allowed's Guide 5) NI setting was used from Ryan Prior to my upgrade, I could never fly out from KJFK(FSDT) with NYC City from Drz Design without OOM issue. After the upgrade I avg 20-25 FPS but staying within my cockpit and no OOM. ASN was also being used …

I was using the FSX with four monitirs like a chime, until the OV 43 touch screen received today, I set this screen at its place above myhead, everything is good. When I go to the FSX to test, I normally run fsx on 1st screen, 2rd & 3rd screens are duplicated (as one screen so lets say its a 2nd screen) for the PFDs & NDs on the both sides, drag the NDs and PFDs and they work normally without any probs, 3rd screen to the upper/lower eicas's, drag them and everything is good, the 4th scresn for the FMCs and work normally , BUT in the 5th screen which is to the OHpanel, open the OH panel and drag it to the 5th screen ----------》 after that I get the fatal error/crash…

I have an fx6300 clocked to 4.5ghz currently running an ati 7770 and would like to go nvidia. Looking for the fastest card my CPU can support. I don't have the money for a 780 and think it would be a waste of money in my system. Would the 2gb 680 be a good choice? I can get a good price on a second hand one (or a 660/650ti)

Hi there! I am flying X Plane 10 and FSX in windowed mode with a 1920 * 1080 resolution on one 27" monitor. While flying, Internet Explorer, a chart viewer and programs like EFASS, PFPX or Plan G are running in the background. Instead of switching between the programs or having my FSX or X Plane window partially hidden by other programs, I´d like to connect a second monitor (an old 1024 * 768) to drag the windows of the other running programs onto it. Will this have an noticeable impact on the frame rate of the flightsim running on the main screen?
