Guys, Sorry if my question may sound dumb or kiddish but i just want to make sure i do a proper installation of my new 780TI. Question is, there are few folders in the download from the ASUS website but do i need to install each and every single folder eg: shadowplay, physX.....etc or its just one installation does all? I am very new to Nvidia and need to be sure. Thank you again and sorry for my question Regards

Hello all, I have been a devoted fs9 user for the past 10 years. I recently purchased and assembled a new gaming rig and I was shocked to see how low my frames per second were when playing FSX on max settings. I understand FSX is a beast and very hardware intensive. I'm curious if my experience is normal or if something is wrong on my system. My rig: Win 7 64 bit Asus Z87 Pro Intel i7 4770 16 gb Corsair DDR3 Gigabyte GTX 770 2gb DDR5 Rosewill 750W PSU My OS is installed on a SSD while FSX is installed off a 1TB 7200 HDD. Both the SSD and HDD are connected via SATA 3 ports. All drivers including the nvidia drivers are up to date as far as I kn…

One of my 4years old Viewsonic 27" died and i need replacement. Bought two new 27" Viewsonic but now i`m missing the height of the old ones. The new generations displays don`t have the height i love. Now my question is,would it be better to buy one 40" or 42" TV display for FSX? Or are TV`s not so good as PC monitors? Mike

I upgraded to an ASUS 290X video card from a HD6990. The CPU is a 4770K and a 5 monitor display. The improvement to FSX was just OK as I had the sliders mostly full right already and with the 290X I can push it the rest of the way. The big improvement was in P3Dv2.1. I can now use the lighting effects and the display is still smooth. Prior to the 290X, P3D was annoying to my senses but now I am enjoying P3D. With the 290X and P3D's lack of popping autogen I will spend a lot more time in P3D. Conclusion: Not worth the expense for FSX but worth it for P3D.

I have a new monitor 27' that now has a Displayport as well as an HDMI. My graphics card also has both, which one is the better hookup for the main monitor. I have a 17' monitor that only has a D sub(vga) which I can use an adaptor for and run out of the DVI-I slot on the card. I also run a 55"TV from HDMI out of the back of the card. I understand that HDMI is the only way to go if I want sound transferred to the TVs sound system with one connection. This card GTX670 has a DVI-I,DVI-D ,display-port and another HDMI output.

Hello, I am not able to use nvidia inspector because the latest update for my driver is nearly four years old and it is not compatible with nvidia inspector so i am not able to tweak my FSX besides the ventubo tweaks which don't really seem to help. So i thought maybe nvidia control panel may work. I know it won't be as good as nvidia inspector but it is better than nothing so do you guys know the setting i should put in there for FSX?

Hi everybody Since I managed to snare an unused G1 Sniper 3 MB for A$80 (!), I thought I'd give SLI a go, and have got another 660ti on it's way to me. I run 2 monitors for FS9 (hey, I like it, ok? ), do I hook up a monitor to each card, or leave both on the card already fitted? I use the second monitor for FMCs, etc. Thanks in advance, Chris

  10. Sorry for the newbish question, but I haven't really used NVidia Inspector much. Once you've applied your preferred values to the MS FSX profile within Inspector, do you then need to relaunch Inspector each time you are planning to run FSX? Or does Inspector know to turn on whenever you run FSX? Or does Inspector just stay on in the background?

Hi, on my noteboook I have two grahics cards - Intel and Nvidia. For a long time I didn't have problems with them but suddenly - without any driver instalation - Nvidia had dissapear in the display settings. So now I need to run FSX on the weak Intel hd graphics with far less FPS. I've tried deleting fsg.cfg as well as total reinstalling of FSX including registry cleaning. Reinstall helped: I could see Nvidia in defaullt version without addons. But when I try to install some addons, it goes bad. Any ideas?

Hello, I have decided that it is time to replace my ancient monstrosity of a monitor with something new and shiny. The budget is on the order of £250 to £300. Currently I have come across things such as this and this. I am looking for in the range of 24" to 27" and I do not care about 3D. Any help sorting through the mountain of options is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Will

I think it might be time for an upgrade to my graphics card which I got around 3 years ago if my memory serves me right. My current graphics card is: AMD Radeon HD 6870 (1GB) I don't have a set preference so I do not mind switching over to NVIDIA or sticking with AMD. My budget? I don't want to pay a massive amount of money so anything under £300 would be sweet. If you want to know the rest of my computer specifications then they are: CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k @ 4GHz Ram: Corsair XMAS3 16GB DDR3 I play Flight Simulator X with addons such as PMDG 777 and other games (Battlefield 4, Minecraft etc) Any recommendation or suggestions would be great.

7 Hi, I have beed trying to figure out how to best use multiple screens when flying. I tried using three screens wide, but together with trackir this got a bit much, and it had a significant impact on performance. My current test installation is to have two screens on top of each other, one for instruments, and one for the VC. My question is, how do you guys get this to work reliably? Is there any way of having the 2-D panels open up as undocked Windows placed on the correct screen by default? Or do I really have to click each panel, undock it, and place it manually? And I think the main screen got a bit high up, wonder how I can solve that... Here is how the curr…

I have a thorny problem with my video. About two weeks ago suddenly my video would just go out meaning a black screen for maybe 3 seconds and then all would return with a message saying the Nvidia driver stopped responding and it has recovered. This could happen two to three times per day with seemingly no reason. I ran every diagnostic I have including complete virus scans and malware scans with no result. At about the time this thing started to happen the only thing on my computer that changed was I downloaded the Orbx vector updated version. I had the original vector and never had this problem. I reinstalled the video driver with no result, I downloaded the lates…

Hello, I have been using Nvidia Shadowplay to record FSX for a while. There is something that really both me is that the video size is narrowed from let's say full screen size to square size... which means that the video is shrinked horizontally. The funny thing is that it does not happen on all FSX videos.... I run a GTX 780 in full screen at 1440x2560 27' monitor. Does anyone have this problem ? thank you

  22. Hi friends, as title says I'm having problems trying to use a 2nd screen for Instruments Always I move a new undocked window to the 2nd monitor it eats a lot of FPS. IE: No windows: 30 FPS fixed 1 window: 20 FPS 2 windows: 10-12 3 windows: <10 I tried the NGX undocking ND/PFD/EICAS, tried also the Aerosoft A320 making views for those gauges, even with the default 737-800, results are pretty much the same. My system i5 2500K @ 4.5GHz 8GB RAM GTX 760 2GB W7 Professional FSX Acceleration windowed mode Any idea about what can I try? Thanks in advance.

Since upgrading to a widescreen monitor (22") and moving on to the FS9 ifly 737 NG, I have noticed significant drop on FPS. On the ground especially at addon airports, I'm getting around 6-10FPs. In the air and using default wx I can get up to 25FPS. I would like to be able to run Active Sky and FS2 Crew and to add a second monitor to run FS commander 9. I have a dual core CPU E2200 @ 2.20ghz with 2.75gb of Ram the video card is a NVIDIA Geforce 7100/Nvidia NForce 630i. I'm perfectly happy with FS9 especially with the advent of such addons as the 737NG. Would replacing the video card with something like a GTX 460 help matters or would I be better off upgrading the e…

I have been using my TH2go de for years and have had absolutely no problems. That said, I just installed a EVGA GTX-780Ti sc and can't help but thinking that I might be behind in multiple screen technology. I have looked at numerous posts, but I just can't seem to find anywhere that talks about what benefits I would see going the nVidia Surround direction. Is there an advantage? If so, what? Another question, should there be advantages: should I use the display port or the HDMI port for the third monitor in a triple configuration? I currently use the HDMI port; linking to my 52" flat-screen for additional views and instruments at times. Thanks Rick S.

Just got my new 27 inch monitor and decided to use my old 24 inch as second monitor to use for pop up panels. I have new monitor setup as primary but when I load FSX it always want to load cockpit view on 24 inch and 27 inch still shows desktop. I can put screen in window mode and drag to 27" and put back into full screen which works and then 24" will go black and I can drag popup windows to the 24" with no problem. How can I get FSX to see 27" as primary. I have tried saving flight with this setup but still does same thing next time I start FSX, Thanks for help.
