Hi, world, As part of the new rig I'm building, I am doing some research and I came across a YouTube vid of a simmer flying the DCS A-10C using a 23" touchscreen where his MFD's and primary flight instuments reside, with the HUD symbology shown on the center display. Really cool, looked like it was working very well. Anyone know about this? Nothing that I could find on the forums here. Best, Kevin

I have a GTX 670, and am seeing a series of confusing graphics card/driver crashes. I have overclocked it some, and I have it at the point where I can stably run a benchmark stress test. I'm using the 335.23 drivers. The black screen crash, with the "Nvidia drivers have stopped responding" message, only appears on some games, and not on others. In FSX, the issue happens irregularly, but when it does happen I need to completely restart FSX as it can't recover. On another game, it happens every time within 5 minutes of starting it, but then when this first crash has been "gotten out of the way," and I restart the game, it then runs flawlessly. After a computer shut-down, th…

I recently pressed into service a 2008 model 37 inch HDTV for FSX . Are then any issues I should be aware of in going down this path? One small hassle has been that a mini HDMI to HDMI cable that I had in my collection of electronic bits and pieces doesn't seem to be compatible with the mini HDMI port on my Gigabyte 770 GPU. I checked at the local electronics store and the mini HDMI plug on this cable looks the same as those in stock. Are there different mini HDMI standards around or does Gigabyte have a proprietory cable? Thanks Bruceb

Hey allI bought a computer of some dude on ebay and it came with two 5870s, now these are very powerful cards but they are pretty bad when it comes to FSX, also there is no FSX crossfire application profile included with FSX so one card was going unused.Well Bufferpools = 0 enables the use of two cards in SLI, and I got it running great with my two older nvidia cards in SLI, but no dice with the ATI cards. This really irked me so I started tinkering and reading online and here's what I discovered. There are two ways to do itMethod 11) copy and rename your FSX.exe to an application that does use crossfire ex. Crysis.exe2) Boot up the game and close it.3) go to your fsx.c…

So how do you think fsx or the other flightsims will play on one of these, would love to have a wider more immersive view of fsx on a single monitor rather then expanding it with matrix triple head thingy. But once these become more mainstream and the price drops i want to get one. http://www.blessthisstuff.com/stuff/technology/computers/worlds-first-curved-desktop-monitor/

I have looked at almost all SweetFX forums on Avism. I looked at the apparent SweetFX fix for Windows 8.1 using the RadoenPro. But everytime I leave the dxgi.dll in my FSX folder. It causes my DX10 preview box to disappear and run my FSX in DX9. Only if I remove the dxgi dll then my FSX runs in DX10 mode. I have read many people have had their SweetFX work fine. I would like help in setting iy up from those who have it working correctly. I am using the DX10 fixer, Sweetfx v1.5.1 as well.

Hi, I currently am using an AMD FX 8120 eight-core processor 3.1ghz and I have a AMD Radeon HD 7670 2GB graphics card. I am looking to switch one for a better one either an intel processor with 3.4ghz or NVIDIA 760. Which should I get if I want better performance? I get good FPS just lags in dense areas and would like to improve visuals. Please put input. Does FSX RELY/PERFORM better with a good CPU or Graphics card?

Hi, I am sorry for yet another "what gpu" question. In my up comming new FSX rig based on the z97 + 4790k, I am split with my self if I need a gtx780 with 3 or 6gb RAM. I run DX10 with lots of SGSS in Inspector, and I use HD Rex clouds. I also plan to use a 2560x1600 screen, but only one - I'm not into the multi screen experimenting. Like to keep it simple. So maybe I even need a Titan or 780ti? Opinions would be appreciated.. Best regards Anders

I am buying a new graphics card. My current graphics card is an AMD RADEON HD 7520 which is decent but can't run more than 1 and a half hours on FSX. I am planning to buy a better GPU so when the PMDG 777-300 comes out I can FINALLY do long hauls. I want a graphics card that can last for more than 17 hours on ultra settings fsx but I dont want to spend to much on it. Will the GTX 660TI do the job or should I get a GTX 760? Still wondering... And what kind of GTX 660 or 760 should I get? TI? Superclocked? 2GB? Thanks, Andrej

Hi....I have recently bought the amd r9 270 graphics card. I am running win7 and fsx. The card and latest driver loaded perfectly....except that, when running fsx... My airport terminals are missing. Ai planes are parked with no buildings next to them. I have tried various other older drivers to no avail. Can anyone add any advice on this issue? Thanks Chucky35uk.

I am running P3d v2 which is generally ok, but I struggle to get a smooth flight at 25-30 fps. My system is i7-930 @4.2ghz, 6mb RAM, GTX480 Asus Rampage 3 motherboard 256mb SSD Win 7 In order to get a bit more performance I was thinking of upgrading my computer. Given that the GPU does more of the work under P3d v2 I was thinking that this would be the best place to splash the cash. Am I likely to see a decent performance increase with a GTX780 or should I look at a new processor instead? Thanks Rich

If you own, or have owned a nVidia GTX 680 2GB card, what in your opinion and usage thereof...was the best rendering and most stable driver suite to date, including up to the latest. I might want to downgrade my driver suite to an older edition, as I have found over the last two or three driver suites, they are starting to disconnect and losing the graphics card. Something nVidia is trying to do...is not working, at least with the 680 series of cards....so, I'm on the hunt for an older set. Mitch
